I do not think that was a simple set up and you seemed confused as to what to press next. Also, what was all the "Waiting"? I am looking to replace my Sun blue box 1000Watt Grid Tie Inverters with limiters, but this demonstration did not convince me this is any better. Can you recommend another UA-cam on this subject with Solis Inverter? Thank you, it sure looks like a nice inverter.

I have a 4G 5kW Solis inverter. Recently it started showing a hint alarm "Grid over voltage". How do I adjust the setting to stop the alarm. The grid is 238V, so not over voltage (240V system).
you can change its Grid Standard to UL-240. Any voltages that goes beyond 235Vac, UL-240 is being used and stable.
I have this inverter and a second 6kw hybrid 5G (with the meter) - but it’s exporting far greater than the backflow limit, it’s like the hybrid can’t “see” what the non hybrid 4g is exporting- any suggestions? The address on both inverters is 01, is that correct?

Are you trying to limit the production? If you do. Enable. The limiter on Hybrid, have the GTi lower rating do all the harvest.
What meter are you using in your Hybrid?
No, I want to limit exporting -EPM. The meter is RS485, the model is Acrel ACR10R.
If I set the backflow to zero, the hybrid stops exporting but the 4g inverter keeps exporting

Very informative video, thank you very much. I have done the same setup and also limited export to -00000w (negative) since I do not have net metering from electricity company. The issue is throughout the day my minimum load is around 250-300watts due to my home UPS/inverter but LimByEPM generates around 160watts and limits the rest, when I turon on geyser then it generates more and delivers 2000w to 2600watts for the geyser, but when i switch off the geyser, it is back to 160-180watts and not generating full required load, why is this happening and I have the same CT and my solis inverter is S6 3kw with 540w x 6 mono perc panels. Pls help if further setting is needed to maximize my load. Also should I change my CT sampling ratio ?
Don't change your CT ratio if it's working. Though I upgraded my 3kw Solis meter type. I only observe that if my PV voltage drops to 200v. Check your graphs for confirmation.
@@MarkMinoza my PV voltage doesn't drop, most of the time I see PV being above 220+ and inverter only controls the amp. My graphs are usually up and down. What if I change export to +100w ? But I am scared my electricity bill will shoot up as mine is not a bi-directional meter.
@@johnruben1444 you may consult your local support. your inverter might need a firmware upgrade.
What do u mean by make sure the load is above 500w? You mean the limiter wont work if the load is below 500w? so 300 watts will be just all be coming from the grid because it is below 500?
You current load (watts) should be above 500w for the limiter to be activated. The CT will detect who big is your power during the CT Link test.

yes, CT can be placed on both Active Line wire. if more than 2 in parallel, you need EPM for that.
What means power in watts in lcd schreen.it is generating by panels or going to household out appliances?
It's generating power going to the grid, not household. Its your grid that powers your appliances in your house loads.
Hi, When CT is 100:33mA .. sample ratio should be 3000:1 I guess. But i see a lot of people recommending 1500:1. Why is it?
That's the standard value using the specific CT provided by Solis. No idea why some.people would have more than 3000:1 ratio.
how does Meter in Load work? does it mean that the CT is placed in the Load side of facility?
Meter in Load connection depends on the type of meter you’re using, I’ve placed a reference link below. But the way it works, think of it like connecting a sub meter to other connection. The meter is placed between source and Load. DU setup is meter in Load. Accuracy is high also in terms of reading.

sir what is the procedure when shutting down the inverter? Which breaker to turn off first?
If its running, do the following steps.
1. Disconnect your Grid
2. Disconnect your PV
The sequence of Commissioning; 1. start the Inverter ON; 2. AC breaker ON; 3. DC Breaker On? Correct po?
1. Enable the Grid first
2. Enable your PV side ON
Regardless anong gamit nyo na safety device (disconnect switch or MCB) , importante may pang disconnect kayo ng supply (PV or Grid). Iba naman gamit fuses.

@@oshinaguilar it will turn on Only when your PV has reach its MPPT startup voltage (check your data sheet) . Depende sa wattage nyo, 3kw - 8kw Solis has 120Vdc startup while lower ratings has 90v and 60v.

Need nyo po API ng hardware to be able to do that. Solis supports modbus protocol running on rs485 using A B connection. External Energy meter is like the EPM. Please see my EPM unboxing vid, may pin config po doon.

Ang explanation ko sir sa video is to have the grid tie first get its maximum generation. This is to validate that we have no issue sa output ng gti bago e limit. Kasi pag nag limit kaagad tayo din hindi natin nakuha ang peak generation, ang usual question ng mga user palaging, baba ng harvest ko. I hope I answer your inquiry right.

Have it all in series. What I have is 12 x 100w all in series. Vdc startup is at 60v. So your 4 pv is perfect.

Depending on the GTi type, this one is CT. Solis also has Meter type GTi, you need to ask it from your seller.
Sir good morning pl solve my problem.as in my house 3 phase Solis inverter and in one or 2 phases from 12 noon to 3.00 pm voltage comes from 170 to 195 Can we with yr kind help limit the minimum input voltage to reqd level to run the inverter without alarm and produce electricity.sir what is min voltage reqd to run inverter smoothly or we can set / modify the range as minimum under un- g- v01 or v02. Hi Ram, User Define is country specific. Values might be different ours. If its low grid voltage, choose UL-208 grid standard.

In my single phase inverter status shows LIM By Vg normally in midday 12 to 3 pm when grid voltage show 270+ and oneby one some time generating and limbyvg Is It harmful to inverter and vice versa how to rectify this problem sir.pl

@@ramkumarsharma4139 your pv setup is correct, the alert on LimbyVg is has something to do with power generation. The inverter limits its power generation during that time. Check your Advance Information page for more details or your SolisCloud Portal.

Yes, no issue on parallel if its net metered. Buy the Meter type GTi S6 models. Just like your existing, just add it to a new branch circuit.

@@franklaurencecanoy617 check your serial #, on the 6th digit, it should be 1 or 2, 1= ct, 2=meter. Pag 0, hindi activated ang limiting functions. Bili ka ng external EPM para mag function ang limiter.

@@anethemia7857 Hindi po since its a Grid Tie Inverter, walang issue sa overload since regardless of load, sa Grid siya nag send ng power, not to your load.

Remove the limiter para malaman nyo sir ang max output. Install also the soliscloud app. Nakikita mo kasi lahat doon ang consumption nyo vs generation kung tama. Maganda ang graph ni Solis sa portal, puede kang mamimili ng data.

Connect both CT on live wire, or use external EPM to consolidate your graphs.

@@arielyu7103 parallel still stable at 2 GTi, more than that, you need EPM if you plan to limit it. But if you don't. EPM is optional. For more info on EPM, kindly see this video.

Sa grid po lahat, since your gti is connected sa grid. Mag depende naman po yan sa generation ng gti nyo during usage ng welding nyo. Malakas ang welding.
@@MarkMinoza Kasi pag nka on na yung welding machine may 8 amps reading ang clamp meter sa grid na side then 300 watts sa inverter. Papalo ng 1kW mahigit genereated power sa inverter kapag mag wewelding na. Sa grid side nman aabot ng 10 Amps. Gusto ko sana pag nka standby yung welding machine sa inverter sya kukuha ng power mara masagad yung harvest.
@@kentoy5598 the Inverter cannot react automatically sa surge ng welding nyo po. Also, kung naka limiter kayo, talo pag may welding kayo. To get your current ng inverter nyo, but a clamp meter with inrush capability. Para makita nyo gaano kalaki ang lumalabas na current during welding.

dont enable the limiter muna. Just like in my video, pina takbo ko muna para makita ko ang peak harvest then doon pa ako nag enable ng limiter. Now, ang pag lagay sa CT mag depende sa Grid type nyo. Pag L-L no issue, pag L-N, sa L nyo ikabit.

User Define is based on your Grid provider. Sila ang mag bibigay sa inyo nyan. Ill come up with a guide on that also dahil marami ding nag tatanong. But if your grid is high, use the UL-240 settings.

sir may paraan ba para ma zero limit ang grid. kc kahit mganda naman harvest ay may 70 to 80 watts pang consume sa grid.
Ang limiter nyo po nag aadjust lagi sa load nyo. Either mahuli o mauna. Hindi talaga ma 0 yan unless ang load nyo constant, hindi gumagalaw. Kung 100w, 100w lang talaga, pero hindi yan mangyayari dahil ang mga gamit natin pabago bago.
@@MarkMinoza k salamat sir. nkita ko kc solax 0 and 5 lng lagi yung makikita mong cobsumed load s metro. maliban lng kung mababa harvest. yung sakin solis 1 kilowatt pv ang max load ko lng ay 300 watts . pansin ko kahit tirik araw more or less 700 watts na ang harvest pero mataas pa din yung load s metro bka may mali ako sa settings.
@@bibsky222 nakikita ko sa 3kw ko na mag 0 using may external digital watt meter sa bahay. Ang 1kw ko pang test lang so hindi ko na test properly. Ill test again.

Yung CT link Test po ang susundin nyo kung saang arrow. Hindi nyo ma activate ang limiter kung hindi kayo mag CT link sa CT type Inverter. Sa meter no need, ill post a new video using meter.

@@aldeebigueja9609 you can enable Fail Safe or Not, hindi requirement sa atin yan. Ang trabaho ng failsafe is to check the connection ng CT at Inverter. Pag nawala or open ang ct mo, mag alarm.
