Thank you!!
Dude you are now a legend. Thanks so much for saving me money from having to buy a dedicated controller for the Apple TV!
Thanks a lot
Happy to help!
How to use joycons as two separate controllers on AppleTV? when they both connected, they combined as single controller
Use the same method in the video as you would to bind them together.
I have a licensed controller. It connects, but then the lights at the bottom just flash and the buttons don’t do anything. The Apple TV recognizes it as a controller when I go to the game controller menu in Control Center, but when i start a controller-required game, it says I need a controller.
The flashing lights are not unheard of, seems about half of the people doing this seem to get that. That said from there it should still work, at least if it's an official controller. I don't know about licensed ones. Do you have the latest Apple TV update?
@@EasyOSX I do have the latest update. It is indeed a licensed controller. Apple TV finds it as “Lic Pro Controller” and then connects and says it’s connected. The controller just doesn’t seem to realize that 🙃, and keeps flashing on the bottom.
Yeah I have a couple of people across my videos asking about the Lic controllers, and so far all of them are having similar problems. I even looked up on the Apple forums and other people are having issues getting them to connect the Apple devices. It might be it’s not recognized by the game as a compatible controller either one made compatible by Apple or via the MFi program.
Does the vibration works ?
Hey Chruis, it does not have vibration support
For some games
Works with Apple Arcade?
Yes it should. Just about every Arcade game has controller support. Never hurts to double check, but I've not yet seen one that can't use controllers.
What does it mean if my pro controller is connected to the AppleTV but the controller is still flashing?
The battery in your Pro controller is probably low and needs to be charged.
@@EasyOSX I changed the batteries before I connected it. (Also when I was looking at comments from other videos I noticed this was a common issue)
Yeah that was going to be my next comment, but with more recent updates the flashing is less common on official controllers. Unofficial controllers not so much though.
Same
Am confused it’s a lic pro crotreller
Hey Erick, what part are you confused about?
@@EasyOSX so basically same thing but different it’s wireless and it’s a lic pro controller. I don’t really know what to do
Does it have a wired mode?
@@EasyOSX i have a GameCube switch crotreller
Is this the same controller or a different one
So, short answer. Nintendo switch controllers do not work with Apple TV. Cool
No they work just fine. Unofficial Switch controllers may not, but the official ones do. Where did you get that idea?
