This is one of the reasons why I'm against costumes from China. I call them "cheap suits". When I try to look for mascot costumes, I look for quality first and then the price afterward.
Hi i work for alinco, problem is with many of these companies they will use credible photos from other companies. so for these mascots they had really nice pictures they had taken from our site. it can be tricky to weed through the deciet.
In regards to what you said about it being like a pillow, that's an insult to pillows! I have bought a suit from china in the past, not a knockoff of a particular character that i'm aware of but it is a chinese one in the full sense, and it came through extremely underpadded where the upper torso fits somewhat close to my own profile with all of the padding bunching up at the base. That thin silk-like lining that is in almost every chinese mascot is horrible to wear after a short while and, for mine at least, i could actually use my phone through the fabric it is that thin. The feet have a thin piece of elastic to hold them on and are also extremely loose whilst the head on my one, not only came in crushed, but had no strap whatsoever. It sort of holds on but only because the weight of the muzzle forces it to mostly rest on your chin. Unfortunately though, here in the UK there just isn't that same base for mascots as there is in the US. Most of my US suits from a company who might make Masks (;-)) suits came from US stores who were closing down back when i was testing out different manufacturers products to see which brands i liked, and i have only seen 2 of their costumes actually sold here in the UK even used. If your in the UK, the only brands you get here are either our custom manufacturers, Auvergne Jouets or cheap chinese/peruvian retailers. Anything else you will find is either something that was sold used by a large scale corporation (such as the many Geoffrey the Giraffes who came up for sale after Toys'r'us's bankruptcy). It's a real shame. I only know of 5 other companies who deal in professional mascots over here who don't use chinese ones necessarily, 2 of whom are freelancers, one of whom is owned by some people who bought the company off a guy who used to run a bouncy castle company and the other who rents out the french costumes as a hire shop. The sheer prevalence of the cheap chinese costumes over here has made people ignore the concept almost entirely, with only medium and large scale firms bothering to use them. There are so few retailers for real quality costumes like your own over here that people don't even realise there are alternatives to the chinese suits or the auvergne suits (which get extremely hot with use as they really are pillows). I know at least 10-20 people, along with a plethora of people in the entertainments industry, who could really get some good value from good quality costumes like your own but with you being hard to find out about over here they are just having to live with the chinese and peruvian suits that are so easy to get hold of. I am trying to help build up the community over here but until companies like your own have more of a presence its a difficult task...
You’re better off buying it on Etsy find the ones they have on the video is a knock off of someone’s original design trust me you don’t want that plus they’re not even cute you’re fine way better ones on Etsy
No fursuits are custom made costumes made by a maker and are made to fit you. mascot costumes tend to embody teams or a schools character. So no fursuits and mascot costumes are not the same
I would never buy fursuits/mascots on eBay or anywhere that copies the characters designed that the original owner owns most people don’t know that it has original owner and will buy a crappy cheap mascot Outfit and buying the product only encourages them to continue but it is interesting to see in your video what it look like hopefully is encourages. People not to buy them I find them very disgusting and ugly you can find way better ones on Etsy that is worth every penny
People with fursuits are having the same problem too
Yupp
Even though they aren't worth buying, I still find bootleg mascots fascinating. I suppose they put the "Halloween" in Halloween costumes!

This is the same thing that happens to furries. They steal our pictures and our characters and remake them terribly. Its quite sad
