    I congratulate Archbishop Gregory on educating us on a matter which most Greek Orthodox Christians are unaware of!

    What does the GOC think of St Paisios?

    Ευλογησων, could you possibly make a video on GOC specifically? Is NY a part of it? Finding it difficult to follow between all the other story lines. Thanks.

    Why don't you share some of your history. The fact that you were excommunicated for two counts of simony, for example.

      Fun fact, he did share his entire life history and side of such ridiculous accusations. It's right on the website for anyone to review. You typically have to excommunicate someone while they're still with you, instead of your anger that they left you when you became ecumenists.

    You need to further research the Greek GOC and the union with the former synod in resistance. You are missing some very key factors there.

    I was wandering..if Russia has old belivers who cross themselves with 2 fingers.. do Greeks, Serbians etc.. also have old belivers who do the same and did we all cross ourselves that way in the beginning?? I'm new to orthodoxy so please forgive if I'm asking ridiculous stuff...

      As far as I know, here in Serbia we do not have old believers that cross themselves with 2 fingers and as I heard it's truth that we crossed like that in the beginning.

    this video should be titled humanist earthbound masonry triumphs in orthodox church/ and should be traced back to earliest known masons that even secular wikipedia reveals that joakim iii belonged to proothos lodge in istanbul long before meletios joined harmonia lodge in istanbul in 1910/and parallel masonic infiltration in rome with cardinal rampolla 1887 to 1903 was second only to leo xiii

    What Supporting Documentation do you have against Matthew. In such an important matter, your responses are vague and unprecis e and appear contradictory especially in light of evidence that relays a detailed story. So this supports the idea that your views are not a result of knowledge or information but perception and assumption. The arrogance is probably best exemplified when matthew was made correct post 1965 lifting of Anathemas and Auxenxios referring back to 1935 encyclical to support his claim. Even the Heretics say " how can the orthodox be the only church in the world" as the stupid basis of all their theological observations and conclusions. You have a big problem if the Encyclical of 1935 was ratified and signed by 3 metropolitans and then one bishop[florina] decides that he will no longer consecrate bishops because only the new calender is infallible enough to form a church hierarchy.

  • @malonobarbara8972

    Their is no Chronology, charge, sequence of events and a proper and thorougher appraisal of these important pivotal events in greek history. When presenting video , if it does not meet the threshold of information content, it is rendered entertainment. When we discover Florina never intended to be a church and was a Pre Cyprianite , one puts the matter in perspective and context which your video irresponsibly does not appraise. Intellectual pompousness is a characteristic in your views

  • @alduin69
    @alduin69 5 років тому +8

    Almost everything you said was correct, riiight up until the end. The Cyprianites were absorbed into the GOC after about a year and a half of Councils between us, and in the documents of the unification, it is explicitly stated:
    a2. By way of this document, which constitutes an Orthodox Confession of Faith, the Hierarchs of the former Synod in Resistance set aside their previously formulated ecclesiological views, which they also withdrew from their offcial website. They have also stated in writing that they will not henceforth employ terms and phrases antithetical to the ecclesiological basis of the Union document.
    a3. The contents of the Union document, which the Hierarchs of the former Synod in Resistance today confess and proclaim with full knowledge and sincerity, leave no margin for doubt as to their mind-set, which is in every respect Orthodox.
    a4. The Hierarchs of the former Synod in Resistance have, through their Orthodox Confession, and also through their self-sacrifcial actions, forcefully emphasized the genuineness of their mind-set and attitudes, inasmuch as they
    • dissolved their distinct Synod;
    • relinquished all of their pastoral prerogatives;
    • placed their prodigious pastoral and missionary work under the protection of our Synod;
    • displayed exceeding humility;
    • regretfully accepted any responsibility on their parts for the estrangement from 1984 onwards and its ramifcations.
    a5. Our Hierarchs were fully aware, by the Grace of God, of the demands that they were making of the Hierarchs of the former Synod in Resistance in joining our Synod, especially after an arduous dialogue of many months’duration, which was brought to fruition by the Orthodox Confession and action of our brethren.

      @@ryrocks9487 Seems that the answer is pretty obvious, though I lack the time and commitment required for any form of extended dialogue beyond this.
      Why not repent? Why try to get all good publicity with none of the consequences of doing the right thing? Why has the Soviet leader of Russia's government always picked the head of its church, and not the other way around?

    • @canonicalorthodoxy5073
      @canonicalorthodoxy5073 Рік тому

      @@ryrocks9487 Unfortunately, no, that was not repentance. If an Orthodox Church is to repent of something, it is more than a simple interview of anecdotal remarks. It is no different than "canonizing" Jesus as well as the jews who crucified him, and commemorating them as patron saints, as well. The soviet church can formally denounce those bishops as well as repent, but it seems a few virtues being signalled is all it took for ROCOR.
      In any case, they might as well be considered Catholics at this point, and quite literally I mean that.

    How dare you even say something bad about ☦Elder Ephraim, he built here in America so many monasteries when America had less than a handful because of his monasteries other monasteries became very popular. and he helped thousands Orthodox Christian in America follow and practice the Orthodox faith the correct way threw Confession prayer and communion.
    Look at all the old calendar followers you guys even have two more schisms within yourselves and all these years have done nothing to save people in America all you have done is complain and complain and you're still complaining.
    don't take this the wrong way I'm not going to sit here and defend The ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople
    But you guys need to come back to the canonical Church we don't even care if it's rocor( which by the way rocor tried to bring you in wonder what happened there?)
    Stop complaining come back in communion with the canonical Church and help fix the problems

      @@TheHackingWeasel Comeback? Ah, this is some kind of back-and-forth bickering, in your mind, rather than a very serious and legitimate concern. We just celebrated the Sunday of St. Gregory of Palamas, for example - would he be in communion with Latins, disregard all the Canons, and appease the crowd? I hardly think so. The entire premise of not being in World Orthodoxy is due to the fact that they've abandoned being a canonical Church.

      Unfortunately, UA-cam won't let me link to anything, even in mock-URL format of blah dot blah. You can find plenty of reasons for your inquiry on the website; there was a video made specifically about it.
      What I would say on the matter is that there is a right way to come together and a wrong way. The right way requires someone to acknowledge someone else is right about something, and when it's right to do so, to admit whatever faults occurred along the way.
