This is really great advice and fantastic points all around. It takes some rewiring to get out of the UA-cam mentality, ie YO WHAT'S UP!! HERE'S A BLUE YETI!!!! AND LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!! (boom explosion sound). Instead....to change the tone to speaking to a friend in a posh restaurant. They're in front of you. No need to shout. Or speaking to a good friend in an airplane seat and both of you are on aisle seats. Totally changes the vibe of the video.

No wonder why you resonate with me so much! “Are You My Mother?” I have LOVED this book since the beginning of time! I read it every year to my 2nd grade students and I get all the “feels” every time. Anyway, I appreciate the point you’re aiming for here. I haven’t made a video the last couple of days, because I haven’t felt that I could emotionally connect. I’ve been overwhelmed with my teaching job and rather depleted emotionally since 24 seven-year olds have zapped the life out of me! If I did create a video these last couple of days, it would have ended up being a rant…and I don’t want that vibe. Good stuff, Wayne, as always! ❤

I miss cartoons on Saturday mornings. I loved reading to our children, always substituting the main characters name with theirs.

great topic, really brought me back to high school drama club, having to do script readings at the table just so we know why the dialogue was composed a certain way, and motivating the line delivery. and def agree with the same words different delivery thing, i do that with my kids to put them to sleep, i sing them songs but in a way that is very sleepy haha
one question. I think being vulnerable scares youtubers because we do not want creepers on our channel and maybe afraid they would see it as weakness. What are your thoughts about being vulnerable, but not seeming as weak.
I have a lot of work to do. My softer side comes out on camera. I don’t script anything and maybe I should. I tend to get my thoughts scrambled and I really want my learners to learn something from my channel. Slowly working my way there, I think.
Well, Wayne, you've got it down. There is a skill in being able to simply talk without bullet points or a script and you, my man, have that skill set down. Or sitting in different positions during my video including the hallway with the bathroom in the background and two different looking light switches in the immediate foreground? No? Ok Wayne...let's hear YOUR trick then! 🤣
I literally could not wrap my brain around what I was seeing with those light switches. I just assumed it was a house for giants.
