Darko and Andrew Robinson also love this marantz m1,its very powerfull for the size and has very good sound quality,no distortion in high volume over 90db,the best small unit from marantz✌️
I can't speak for the Cambridge but the Naim Uniti Atom is fantastic and well worth the upgrade. Not to take anything away from the M1, it's brilliant for it's price too. - John
It would be nice to have Tidal Connect. I understand it supports Tidal but not Tidal connect, yet? I've had my eye on the M1 for a while. I see Denon will be coming out with something similar.
It has Tidal connect. Has been soft launched. Thing with HEOS is; now ALL devices with HEOS have Tidal connect. So new Denon and Marantz products have it, but also if they're 5 y/o.
I've not personally heard the Audio Physic Scorpio 25 so I can't really give you an informed answer. On paper from specifications, the Marantz M1 would drive them just fine. Given the price point of the speakers when they were released they would probably benefit from amplification a little more premium but it depends on what you want to achieve, where they will be used and the condition of the speakers. - John
I wouldn't say better, the Arcam A25 is an excellent amplifier. They are different, the Arcam would be the basis of a good separates system with multiple boxes, the Marantz M1 is a great all in one solution. It depends on the route you want to go down. - John
@@AnthonyToth-t5v had the wiim amp myself but got rid of it as it sound absolutely terrible- might be ok for a bit of background music but extremely poor to sit and listen to music.
I think it might be worth looking at a standalone amplifier and add a wiim pro or pro plus as your streaming service maybe look at Cambridge or Yamaha this also give you the chance to update in the future if needed
But there is also the option of the new Denon home amp which is available from August and is £200 cheaper than the new m1 that’s if your looking for an all in one unit
The wiim isn’t terrible at all. With good speakers, it’s good. However the m1 is much better. WiiM is launching a pro version of their amp in a few months. It’ll be a very similar price. Maybe wait for that?

I like Darko and Andrew Robinson too, UA-cam goals for sure! - John
@@Peter-TysonSoon we are getting Denon Home Amp,almost twin brother of M1 only £200 cheaper with same power output, greetings from Falkirk🏴

@@thedownunderverse yeah,M1 is master tuned so its better
Marantz Model M1 or the Denon Home Amp? Which gives a better sound?
Which is better the new Denon home amplifier or the m1 both from the same company and both similar looks but the Denon home comes in 200quid cheaper??
It’s likely the m1 will be the better product. But details of the Denon are very thin right now.
Nice review John
Unity atom, Cambridge evo150 are much more pricey. But are they worth the upgrade over this M1?

Hi,could you review Harman Kardon Citation AMP????
you have become my favourite reviwer lately! Is there a chance you might review Avoustiv Energy (320) in a near future?
Thank you! I have heard the AE speakers, they sound really nice. They may pop up in a future video :-) - John

Tidal connect is coming apparently :)

Good day, how will it match with Audio Physic Scorpio 25. Your opinion is highly appreciated

No headphone output: deal breaker 4 me.
Too expensive for me I’ll stick to getting the wiim amp I think though not as powerful as the marantz
