It's a real piece of .... art. Ten pounds of boost in a tired six, that motor was trying to take itself apart. Robby definitely wins the cool boss award for this one. New tools for Big Dinner, and a road warrior mod for Hillbilly. Who's ride is next?

This reminds me of back in the mid 90's when a buddy and I cut the front end off of a Ford Ranger and welded an Olds 403 Rocket in it. We took the front half of the driveshaft from the donor car and welded it to the back half of the ranger driveshaft so we didn't have to change the rear end.
He had that truck for over a year and it was just a blast at parties....... Thank you guys for bringing back memories, this is one of the best things I've seen in a long long time.
I have an 86 ranger I really wanna small block swap it. Really with whatever I find cheap. Good to hear the rest week hold up for at least a bit!

You know, i can't afford to do either of these, but I'll always hold the opinion this kind of sketchy hillbilly stuff is way more fun and funny than rebuilding or driving a super car.

Well, if anyone ever doubted you lot were crazy, you have now removed all possible doubt. This was fantastic, stay safe guys and don't push your luck too far, listen to the boss from time to time, she's up for a laugh and giggle as proven when you all took a ride on the Rokon, but enough is enough, we don't want any of you getting hurt.
That was sweetest use of card board and tape engineering to mount the boost gauge I have ever seen.

I'm surprised they didn't roll yet.
Nah, it's running lean so detonation will get it before anything else. When you add more air you have to add more fuel. Its actually easy to add more fuel on these old FI engines, just restrict the fuel return hose to the tank. We used to do it with vise grips! Increases fuel pressure which means more fuel is sprayed by the injectors. Gotta love redneck engineering!
If there´s still an AFR sensor and the EFI reacts to it, it may adjust the AFR accordingly, although it may be a bit laggy.
@@bryancohn9406 on the 280 Z's part of making em faster for little money- resistor on cold start side of computer and bb in fuel return line. GA go fast mod!!! Yeppers my neck is red.

My 24yo Toyota 105 with an after market Turbo incl intercooler get's 14psi Boost. I had to do what robby did to break down the pipe for the boost gauge. I love it!!! G'day to Dinner from Aust!

Dipstick is probably blowing out because you are pushing boost back into the crankcase through the PCV system (and loosing boost to boot). Try a check valve or disconnect the PCV system and test again.

This reminded me of my cousin who received a wide set of tires for his Mustang but he had no way to get them to fit so he wired a scissor jack to the rear end work great, he only had to stop once in a while to fix the jack because it kept falling off.
I can’t believe I’m watching 3 channels of tow (pull by Matt) haul by Rory, with his POS Monster Machines and, Make them Pretty by Robbie.

The dipstick blowing out is from crankcase pressure (pcv) and the difference between a turbo and super charger is a turbo is spun with exhaust pressure whereas supercharger is spun off the crankshaft
