@pure tango I do too, the sound of the footsteps weren't so incredibly loud so you can hear someone from far away with comtacs and in this time frame of eft there weren't many players so you didnt know if it was one or not so the fear was extreme and having to check your guns ammo instead of the game telling you the approximation of it was really nice too. Even so eft now is still amazing but I'd prefer the old one

The city is cut off from the rest of the world and 2 paramilitary factions are fighting each other one supported by the west the other by the east it's nothing to do with world war 3. If anything the story loosely resembles the Ukraine conflict

it isnt going to be openworld survival at the start fam, youre gonna have to go thru the raids until you escape from tarkov. Then you unlock the openworld map which combines all the raids. Atleast thats what i know

TehFocus in a way the game is just a death match shooter. I don't have access to the game myself so feel free to correct me of I'm wrong on anything. from what I've seen so far, you can only play raids until you beat all of them. since there's 10 technically you'd have to play 10 "linear" missions before you get access to free roam. once in a raid, players fight against a.i. now let's say another group is already in the raid. from what I understand, you could encounter this group on the raids map and choose how you deal with them. I welcome any and all corrections because I'm interested in this game but way to lazy to make a google search on what it's about

Consoles are inferior to Pc's I don't think they'll have to make compromises if they want it to be on consoles. (or maybe they'll just lock it on the lowest settings for them)
Why would you carry all of that equipment? I'd carry only what I'd need to survive. Carrying a surplus on my terms means you'll lose a lot more in the end. Please explain why you carried a whole damn army with you on this run.
@@flashy91100 it was 2 years ago, i have the game now and it is so much fun... when you survive of course, but the reason it looks better too is because the recent wipe they upgraded the games engine so its more stable and does not eat up your fps anymore

Roman Sedykh I think He means its way better done than other games in that state. Look at Arma/dayz, they are still Hella Buggy and unpolished, this Just Looks Like the Developers Spent much more time creating it.
Frankie's job here is to essentially let everyone know that the game even exists as at the time it literally just came out, it's not an in depth tutorial since not even frankie would know everything about the game 2 minutes after starting it. It's no different than the raid shadow legends ad that we get from literally every youtuber, some subtle editing and lying to make the game seem more dayz-ish for his audience too probably
because it is quite a functional system: The game geniously translated the scope as another Hud Pop up instead of filling the whole screen or most of it. not to mention that it looks great, but it is quite Performance Heavy... so a Console would never be able to pull that off.
But in real life when you fill out the whole screen it more accurately mimic real staff since when you using scope your filed of view is compromise as hell
True, I would prefer that too honestly, I mean im alwaysss for realistic and always prefer it, but in this case its easier, cause you still see someone next to you, but its not immersive at all, since you cant check a scope like that without losing your sight for everythign else..
Actually you can, you need to train your eyes for it though. this is actually more realistic as it is possible to use a scope with both eyes open. it is just a very tricky thing to do
It's a perfect narrator voice. "They always have a buddy" - sound so calm and professional, like he jumps off a plane, engage in car chase and shoots some targets before tea time on daily basis. I guess he kinda does.

Well seeing the amount of realizm to the game my bet is they have slugs, buck and bird so from 30'yards birdshot wouldnt kill ya most likely but you would be down i bet they have diff shells for the shotgun though.
***** I'm not one of those guys who hype up every game (like those NMS & Watchdogs hipsters). I'm just telling how it is. The mechanics of this game are what a lot of people have been praying for in a first person shooter. It is looking pretty good for an ALPHA.
To avoid everyone playing with just a knife, handgun or basic shotgun, they need to add a more lucrative looting system and the ability to find assault rifles and such. At the moment, everyone is running bare minimum so they don't lose hours worth of gear with one pop to the skull.
You can find assault rifles, they just aren't fully built, often they are broken down to just the basics and other parts need to be found to complete them.

The plot is life in Putin's Russia. No zombies needed, your fellow man will do. All the kids running with no items but a pistol, playing full on deathmatch will be lore friendly
I like Tarkov but Frankie uses a little bit of editing magic to make it look like you're in the raid for three-four in-game days when actually you're not in raids for anywhere near that time. Also when Frankie says "Those were definately players." When he killed those two guys in the bushes, they were actually Scavs aka AI. He only kills one actual player in this entire video and that's the guy he kills while he comes out of the room in the dorms. Here you see Frankie doing commentary in post but trying to make it seem like it's live. He splices two games together to get the day and night footage. Just thought I'd let you all know.
I'd say it's pretty important, as he's being pretty misleading about it and is obviously taking multiple takes and putting them together and trying to hide it. In some elements, the game doesn't play like he was showing.
Riley's Shop any actual proper fan of frankie or sadas know nearly all the content is 'for show' its been this way for a LOOOONG time. Hes not hiding it, its more of like when you dont explain a magic trick. When you DO explain it, all the wonder of the trick is lost.

I love how ready Freddy is when he's searching baddies for supplies, the second he hears footsteps he's on the doorway like a goddamn hawk, it's brilliant.
Yeah it's alpha, but afaik the plan is to have it as a multiplayer shooter pretty much how it is now. What is there to motivate the players to play? Just sneaking around gathering stuff gets a bit stale after a while, especially if all is lost if killed.
I'm fairly certain that's the entire point of the game... you're dropped in, you have to survive (and possibly escape the map?), oh and it's every man for himself (unless you decide to buddy up with someone)
Its every man for himself in the Alpha build as all the systems are not in place. There will be a Karma system that will affect your characters mental state, trading relationships and even bring sickness and weapon jams down on you if you kill your own PMC faction over and over.(Note: there will be skills to make rogue life easier though, if you choose that rout)

hmmm those extraction points seem like a griefer's/camper's paradise. Im not at all sold on that game mechanic at all. but i guess, it should be a much larger open world when its done.
It's an early alpha, im sure they will address that mechanic going forward. it would make more sense to call for an extraction once you have completed some objective rather than head toward a choke point where you have campers just pissing about either chasing easy loot or just being wankers for the sake of it.
There will be different scenarios or raids as they call them, like this one that you will have to complete or rather, escape from (there's about 10 of them if remember correctly). Once you are done with all of them the whole map will open up for you to roam about, which is about 16km2 (it ain't exactly DayZ). But you can always go back to them to gather loot if you so desire. I've played a little so far and it sure has huge potential and the feel of the game is amazing. Sound design is crazy good and you really wanna be careful about your movement as every step counts. The gunplay and the way the core gameplay feel is definitely right and on point, better than any other games in the genre if you ask me. I have high hopes for this game.

ke.st Well the servers are already overloaded and i don't think the EOD edition is limited because it's a digital copy of the game, once you buy the game they give you a code and you install the game from their site, i don't think they have a physical copy of the game.
In the final game you will be able to do - Raids, which are just like in this video, with small maps and a limited amount of players. - Freeroam, which is basically all the raids maps stichted together that then make up 18qkm which is about the size of Stratis in Arma. Freeroam will be similar to DayZ.
Tips for Beginners, if you bought the standard edition. Go for woods, and start looting for important items to trade and sell. Dont bring a gun though since most of the time, you will die and wont have the time to put your pistol in your aplha pouch. Btw use pistols only not your free starter kit rifles. Bring two or more magazines or just a couple of bullets and those "cheese" medical kits or just bandages. Walk around the edge of the map, and wait for the right time to escape. Dont worry since you will face AI, aim for the head. Avoid real players if you cant fight them, go at the attachment cabin and wait there, 2-3 Scavs usually spawns there and get caught along the wire traps. You can hear them scream thats the time you will shoot. Grab there loot and.
Gachi Null lmfao that literally how I started but in hindsight it’s a terrible strategy. Interchange is the easiest map to come out of with good loot and relatively simple to find the extracts.
if you pre-order escape from Tarkov from its pre-order page (www.escapefromtarkov.com/preorder-page) you can sign up for the alpha depending on which version you pre-order, some versions have definite access to beta and alpha testing whilst other you have a chance however if you preorder any package you will receive access to the beta in the coming months.
also, the scoping mechanic (sv-98 for example) imo the scope is too far away xd. its exactly same than on their Online free2play game in Kongregate -(for example, can be somewhere else too, dont remember the name tho)- Edit: i meant _Contract Wars_
have you looked through a real scope? If you have, you'd know you can't connect your eye to it, and this game is sticking as much to real life as it can.
this is my first ever comment on UA-cam. Franky you're probably one of the best survival player I've ever seen on UA-cam. Every video like this, is well edited and well played. I'm never board watching you play these kinda games. It's actually so good sometimes that I watch them over again and I never do that with game play videos. This game is in alpha. That means this game is not finished. Not finished means that they have yet to fulfill all of the promises they have made. I honestly am looking forward to what this game will be in the future and even now it looks amazing but for now they have not fulfilled all of the promises I feel would make me want to buy it.

The game geniously translated the scope as another Hud Pop up instead of filling the whole screen or most of it.
not to mention that it looks great, but it is quite Performance Heavy... so a Console would never be able to pull that off.
But in real life when you fill out the whole screen it more accurately mimic real staff since when you using scope your filed of view is compromise as hell

Actually you can, you need to train your eyes for it though. this is actually more realistic as it is possible to use a scope with both eyes open. it is just a very tricky thing to do

To avoid everyone playing with just a knife, handgun or basic shotgun, they need to add a more lucrative looting system and the ability to find assault rifles and such. At the moment, everyone is running bare minimum so they don't lose hours worth of gear with one pop to the skull.
You can find assault rifles, they just aren't fully built, often they are broken down to just the basics and other parts need to be found to complete them.

I like Tarkov but Frankie uses a little bit of editing magic to make it look like you're in the raid for three-four in-game days when actually you're not in raids for anywhere near that time. Also when Frankie says "Those were definately players." When he killed those two guys in the bushes, they were actually Scavs aka AI. He only kills one actual player in this entire video and that's the guy he kills while he comes out of the room in the dorms. Here you see Frankie doing commentary in post but trying to make it seem like it's live. He splices two games together to get the day and night footage. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Yeah it's alpha, but afaik the plan is to have it as a multiplayer shooter pretty much how it is now. What is there to motivate the players to play? Just sneaking around gathering stuff gets a bit stale after a while, especially if all is lost if killed.
It's seems like it may be a lot like the division dark zone to be honest. It'll be good to hear what the story line is.

I'm fairly certain that's the entire point of the game... you're dropped in, you have to survive (and possibly escape the map?), oh and it's every man for himself (unless you decide to buddy up with someone)
Its every man for himself in the Alpha build as all the systems are not in place. There will be a Karma system that will affect your characters mental state, trading relationships and even bring sickness and weapon jams down on you if you kill your own PMC faction over and over.(Note: there will be skills to make rogue life easier though, if you choose that rout)
Theres suppose to be a story to tarkov and you you have to uncover the mysteries of tarkov or why everyone fighting for it or something like that.

Unfortunately thats same vibe i got from watching this vid, most popular spots on maps will be camped by organised groups of players for easy loot...
It's an early alpha, im sure they will address that mechanic going forward. it would make more sense to call for an extraction once you have completed some objective rather than head toward a choke point where you have campers just pissing about either chasing easy loot or just being wankers for the sake of it.
There will be different scenarios or raids as they call them, like this one that you will have to complete or rather, escape from (there's about 10 of them if remember correctly). Once you are done with all of them the whole map will open up for you to roam about, which is about 16km2 (it ain't exactly DayZ). But you can always go back to them to gather loot if you so desire.
I've played a little so far and it sure has huge potential and the feel of the game is amazing. Sound design is crazy good and you really wanna be careful about your movement as every step counts. The gunplay and the way the core gameplay feel is definitely right and on point, better than any other games in the genre if you ask me. I have high hopes for this game.

Tips for Beginners, if you bought the standard edition. Go for woods, and start looting for important items to trade and sell. Dont bring a gun though since most of the time, you will die and wont have the time to put your pistol in your aplha pouch. Btw use pistols only not your free starter kit rifles. Bring two or more magazines or just a couple of bullets and those "cheese" medical kits or just bandages. Walk around the edge of the map, and wait for the right time to escape. Dont worry since you will face AI, aim for the head. Avoid real players if you cant fight them, go at the attachment cabin and wait there, 2-3 Scavs usually spawns there and get caught along the wire traps. You can hear them scream thats the time you will shoot. Grab there loot and.
Gachi Null lmfao that literally how I started but in hindsight it’s a terrible strategy. Interchange is the easiest map to come out of with good loot and relatively simple to find the extracts.
Frankie if you didn't know when you unlock a door there will be loot scatted around the room not just in the containers.

This game is in alpha. That means this game is not finished. Not finished means that they have yet to fulfill all of the promises they have made. I honestly am looking forward to what this game will be in the future and even now it looks amazing but for now they have not fulfilled all of the promises I feel would make me want to buy it.
