Highlander is a 1986 fantasy action-adventure film. The film chronicles the climax of an age-old war between immortal warriors, depicted through interwoven past and present-day storylines. It is the first film in the Highlander franchise. Connor MacLeod (Lambert) is born in the Scottish Highlands in the 16th century. After being killed by the Kurgan in battle, he is revived from his fatal wound and is banished from his village. MacLeod is found by swordsman Ramírez (Connery), who explains they and others were born immortal, invincible unless beheaded.

The Wrestler's name is Michael P.S. Hayes, he was very popular in the 1980's and early 90's in the NWA/WCW/WCCW/Memphis wrestling federations as a founding member of the Free Birds.

Fun Fact: Roxanne Hart, and Christopher Lambert reunited in an episode of The Blacklist in 2019. It was Lambert's fourth, and final appearance in the show. He played an assassin, and in that episode Hart was his target. No spoilers. Ironically they had no screen time together.
I didn't know that. Roxanne admitted that she had a massive crush on Christopher when doing this movie. I think it was in special features on the DVD.

@@Grizzly01well that doesn’t really mean they are somewhat related. I mean, if that’s the case all humans are somewhat related. If a clansman were to go out and marry another woman outside of the clan she will take on the man’s last name and the kids as well right. So wouldn’t that technically always be that way. I’m not saying you or I are wrong, but if the Macleod clan only interbred within the clan in itself, there would have been definite issues like in Appalacha where there was definitive proof of inbreeding the Appalachian’s started getting blue skin/lips. Just saying.

Actually, Denis Lawson is the widower of Sheila Gish as they were still married at the time of her passing. Her daughter was Lou Gish (who died less than a year after her mother) who was (fun fact) the partner of Nicholas Rowe who is best known for his lead role in Young Sherlock Holmes.

What German soldier? Was there a different version of this movie released on Europe? I love this concept of this movie and have seen it a hundred times at least and there are no Nazis in it. All of Conner's flashbacks except for the duel with Bassit in 1783 are set in Scotland in the early 1500s. Also Bassit did not kill his friend during or after the duel with Conner.
Director's Cut. It's a better version than the theatrical release.
