Mad Max is an Australian post-apocalyptic dystopian action film. The film follows the adventures of Rockatansky, a police officer in a future Australia which is experiencing societal collapse due to war and critical resource shortages. When his wife and child are murdered by a vicious biker gang, Max kills them in revenge and becomes a drifting loner in the Wasteland. As Australia devolves further into barbarity, Max finds himself helping pockets of civilisation, initially for his own self-interest, but his motives always drift into more altruistic ones.

Mad Max 2 (released as The Road Warrior in the United States) is a 1981 Australian post-apocalyptic action film. The film's tale of a community of settlers moved to defend themselves against a roving band of marauders follows an archetypical "Western" frontier movie motif, as does Max's role as a hardened man whose decision to assist the settlers helps him rediscover his humanity.

Cmon be honest hands up if you were gutted when warrior woman died ✋
Almost cried 😎
Is that what he meant by "an excellent handler of onions"????? WTF?? lol
What a waste of high octane T&A
RIP Tina Turner..
The 3 original films, are unreachable..! 👍
Only Tina Turner can wear a chain mail dress and cause the sun to rise two hours early.
I love the latest one Mad Max, Fury Road, but it's kind of weird, as a stand alone movie I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars, but as a Mad Max movie I give it 2 out of 5 stars, not because I don't like it, as I said I love the movie and think it's great but it just doesn't "feel" like it's in the Mad Max universe, there's just too many cut shots in the editing, none of the others have nearly as many and it makes it feel like it doesn't belong in the story.
I think it's a fantastic movie, but it just doesn't feel like it's from the same creator's.
Johnny the Boy always reminded me of Adam Ant.
I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought that!!!😅😂
New Romantics lol
Holy cow, I thought you were either being sarcastic or I was going to have to correct you because it is Adam Ant.
All these years I thought that it was him and I only just now found out it wasn't from your post and checking on IMDB.
Good eye
Virginia Hey has aged like fine wine, she will always be so beautiful 💕💞
You should see her without hair in Farscape, she looks totally different.
I bumped into her once and she was very nice and sweet.
@@borntorazehell777To be honest, Zotoh Zhaan is beautiful as well on her own extraterrestrial way. 😊
@@borntorazehell777 wasn't that makeup literally killing her and she had to quit? Sad
They say people don't believe in heroes anymore. Well, damn them! You and me, Max, we're gonna give 'em back their heroes!
I absolutely love this movie, it was a part of my childhood, and I had a huge crush on Warrior Woman ❤
She kicks ass on Farscape too.
Most of us teenage boys did.
I met her once at a seriously local comic con.. she was selling her own soap... Bit of a fall from grace but she still looked great!
Same here.
She seems to have aged well, unlike some of the cast.
I saw Mad Max 2 the road warrior when I was 13 yo and I saw Mad Max at 16 ; I adore these 2 apocalyptic movies ! Mel Gibson is my favorite actor, all my teenage years, what a beautiful career !
Every time I talk with someone from Australia I explain to them that I can't put into words what an impact and an influence The Road Warrior had on American society, Mad Max itself had a limited release here in the States and wasn't seen by that many people but The Road Warrior was a hit in the theater and afterwards from being shown on a heavy rotation on the cable channels like HBO it really grew legs, it led to things like saying "That's a real Road Warrior machine" when looking at someone's car or motorcycle that was rough around the edges but still had it where it counts, it was a huge influence on society back then, a true cultural phenomenon that introduced one of cinemas greatest anti heroes to American culture, Max Rockatansky.
Last year after watching a documentary called Not Quite Hollywood I learned about the Australian New Wave cinema movement that started in the early 70's and led up to Mad Max and The Road Warrior and also another 1981 Mel Gibson classic I'd seen in the early 80's on cable Gallipoli, and Bruce Spence who played the Gyro Captain in The Road Warrior has been in many of them, I started looking up and watching these movies from that era of Australian cinema I learned about in that documentary like Stork, Alvin Purple, Stone, The Cars That Ate Paris and Oz; A Rock n Roll Road Trip Fantasy which was a modern (70's) retelling of The Wizard of Oz, not only are those movies great but I get to relive the 70's watching them, I'm loving it, and the music in them is great, there's many Australian rock songs in them that are fantastic, turns out AC/DC isn't the only great rock band from that era.
If you have the app for Tubi I highly recommend watching it, Not Quite Hollywood, it's a great documentary and like I said introduced me to all kinds of great movies and music from a fantastic era in Australian cinema.
I still fancy Virginia Hey. I first watched Mad Max II when I was about 13, on my friend’s VCR, when I lived in Pinner, North West London.
Little did I know, Ms Hey was at that time, living in Northwood, about four miles walk from my home….
Aynı yaşta, aynı hisler dostum 👍🏻 . Etkileyici bakışlar, etkileyici kadın

Thank you! You are a man of culture.

The "Mad Max" movies are epic and by far the greatest post apocalyptic films ever made in history and I have the entire collection in my exclusive DVD's.
Vernon Wells (Wez) is still acting, and filmed a pilot with my wife last year that got picked up for production after the strikes are over.
at least a couple of important cast members missing. Mike Preston, and Arkie Whitely, as Papagallo and the Captians Girl. high profile in the movie, where are they?
i love these movies forever😞
I was 18 when I saw it the first time in cinema, now at the age of 63 I still love it and have them all
Have you noticed that Johnny the boy looks just like Adam Ant. And Virginia Hey was in Buggles "video killed the radio star."
They left out Arkie Whitely. She was in Mad Max 2. She was the daughter of the Australian artist, Brett Whitely. Daughter of Wendy Whitely. Both Arkie and Brett Whitely sadly passed away. RIP.
Yep, what a shame she died at such and early age, she was only like 36 or 37 when she died.
So sad. She was so pretty in Mad Max 2 😣
Also in Razorback, the other guilty pleasure.
Born in 1960. All those actors had multiple roles on Aussie TV. Dad worked at Noyes Brothers. Can see the yellow sign before pursuit car goes thru caravan in mm1.. sat on dads lap steering his v8 there...
Virginia Hey was also in Farscape the TV show as Zotoh Zhaan, one of my favorite TV shows of all time.
Pretty much the reason why I watched this. I didn't realise she was in Mad Max 2
I never made that connection!
Virginia Hey is bald (alopecia) so she would not have the long hair shown in the thumbnail.
I have Always Wanted that Movie & Now I Finally havs it.❤
Mad Max is an action and science fiction film, starring Mel Gibson. And perhaps this is one of the best Mel Gibson movies. May God bless them.
Thank you for the explanation
Virginia Hey was amazing on Farscape as Zhan.
She was also in one of the videos from the Buggles for their song Video Killed the Radio Star.
I don't believe it was the famous one that was the first ever video played on MTV, it's to my understanding they made several videos for the song but she's credited with being in one of them.
I didn't realize Virginia Hey played this part.
@@my-yt-inputs2580Not your fault. She's much older and in full make-up so.
@@TAURON85 I realize now I responded incorrectly. I was aware it was Hey who played the part on Farscape. I didn't know it was her in Mad Max.
Mad max 2 é o melhor da franquia
Achei que não ia ter brasileiro aqui e só eu acompanhava esse canal.
Mad Max 2 was amazing. Such a step up from the original.
💯%
Mad Max was a hugely tight budget and gamble for George Miller but what a success, Mel Gibson was paid 15,000 au dollars for the movie…..how times have changed lol
I met Virginia Hey and she was one of the nicest people, stopped and chatted for maybe half an hour and posed for pics and signed an autograph with no complaints.
The movies are great, the actors are cool, thanks for the video 👍
Hugh Keays-Byrne was also in the Aussie biker movie "Stone" (1974) as "Toad", a biker in "The Gravediggers",
Roger Ward was "Hooks",
David Bracks who played "Mudguts" in Mad Max, was also in "Stone",
Vincent Gil was "Dr. Death",
Reg Evans who played "Station Master" was cast as one of the Solicitors in "Stone".
Больше спасибо за проделанную работу!!!
My favorite two movies 🎥 Madmax and the road warrior!
Well, at least Cundalini got his arm back.
Thank you for this! Two greatest movies of all time!
I want one of those Cundalini T shirts!
Always found the Mad Max names so interesting.
Cundalini always sounded like they were saying Cunnilingus.
Just like Imperator Furiosa is made to sound like
Emperor.
Just added to the coolness of the world of Mad Max.
Best action film ever .
Great video brother and great movie too from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲
Very cool video, we've already done the fury road! They really changed too much.
Two of my favourite films (mad max and mad max 2)...its so sad seeing who has passed and the likes of Bruce Spence (who has done other fantastic movies) looking so frail.
Virginia Hey was in Farscape and she is still gorgeous.
Zhaan is a great character. And quite a fitting role for her I guess.
But she was really amazing in MM2. She made a huge impression on me and that character became a muse. She is the prototype Amazon.
Her death was funny and sad at same time. Some call it a simple action movie, but it was not.
Amazing video brother all the way from.the uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧mad max then and now cast rip to the ones we lost in mad max 🎬🎬🎬
Thank a god I can mute this and still see it.
Hugh Keays was also in Fury Road as Immortan Joe if you can’t already tell by by the hair
I ❤️ MAD MAX 1&2!!!!!👍👍👍
I truly appreciate this video. It has reignited my nostalgia for the movie I watched years ago. Thank you!
Max s wife looks well old
Mad max roule ❤
I have one of the biggest collections of photos and behind the scene photos of the first 2 films
Big fan since the first
When i was a kid i thought road warrior was a stand alone hit .....when i found out there was a first one , i couldnt believe how much better road warrior was . That never happens with sequels. Jaws awesome ...jaws 2 onley ok
Muito bom 🤝🤝👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏😮
Good stuff!!! One of my FAVORITE film series
Hugh Keays-Byrne - Played Toe cutter, and immortan Joe In Fury Road
Really cool video, its really freaky on how many actors died at the age of 71.
😢 this video is epic love Max Max movies ALL OF THEN never get tired of it thanks was good to see some still alive after all this year RIP AND THANKS to all those who are ready dead 💀
Bravo
Watched this film so many times
Wow, I totally see the Feral Kid in the grown up Emil Minty.
Mad max 1 and toe cutter ❤
When I watched the Road Warrior in the Theater I was a Medic in the 82d Airborne!
THE BEST.!
The guy who played the Toe cutter looks like Immorten Joe in the last 2 movies
great video
Thank you for the updates!!
Mad Max was a hugely tight budget and gamble for George Miller but what a success, Mel Gibson was paid 15,000 au dollars for the movie…..how times have changed lol. And even today I will still rewatch them, oh btw the actors also used to drive their vehicles home so they had transportation back to the studio 👍👍👍
You forget Kim Sullivan, the stunning girl on the Chevy
You forgot to add that "Benno" who played in the first one also was in MM2. He was one of the hostages strapped to front of "Humongous" vehicle.
I got smuggled into a drive-in theater in the trunk of a car (to avoid paying) to see Mad Max in 1979. I was 13. I don't think kids do stuff like that anymore. :)
You wouldn't even have been allowed to pay to get in to watch Mad Max - it was rated R and restricted to adults 18+.
@@nigelhickman2274 Rated R was no one under 17 unless accompanied by an adult.
@@scourge34 In Australia during 1971 Don Chipp (who went on to found the Australian Democrats) introduced the R rating that restricted Audience members to 18+ years.
The most likely place that 'T-bone' attended a drive-in in 1979 featuring Mad Max was Australia ... considering it was not released into the USA until 1980.
bestmovie
I am compelled to ask this question. The Transcript (as displayed by the Menu->Show Transcript) is perfectly timed to match audio which, I think, is limited to the narrator. But the Closed Captions enabled by the CC option are not using those timings. Instead, the entire transcript is displayed at once at the start of the video I paused the video immediately after starting play. Only by scrolling to the end of Transcript could I match the Captions displayed. Being very nearly deaf, I depend upon the Captions to understand the spoken audio. The Transcript is correct. But something went wrong in applying the timings to the Closed Captions. I'm giving a LIKE to the video and thanking the Channel Owner for posting. I just wanted to advise about the time discrepancy between the Closed Captions and the Transcript.
I love this guys backstory on everyone........He likes long walks on a beach
VVirginia Hey 💞💞💞
Gros RESPECT !!!!
Used to visit Bert Cadart at his LaParisienne factory in Dandenong in the late 1970s.
The best of bonanza
I didn't know that Emortan Joe died. Man was a legend.
my favorite film
Last i heard of Emil Minty's whereabouts was he's working as a jeweller at a jewellery shop at Gladesville New South Wales Australia.
like mad max
Roger Ward knows how to look after himself.
Two days ago I saw a vehicle that would haul that tanker
You want to get out of here
You talk to me
Yes, I want to get out of here. What's our next step?
@@LajitasRain ,
Okay , so that's my offer I deliver a rig big enough to haul that tanker of yours , you give me back my vehicle and as much juice as I can carry , now to do the job I need 5 gallons of diesel and some Hi octane gasoline !

Toecutter went on to become David Crosby!🤣

👍👍👍👍❤️
I'm kinda surprised Golden Boy wasn't listed in the video, hehe.
I can’t believe you didn’t include Arkie 🥰
For us they will not die
The sad thing was the picture of Bruce Spence.
Met Vernon Wells (Wez) at a comic-con.
Virginia Hey was also the woman in the tube in The Buggles Video Killed the Radio Star video.
Glad to see what became of the cast members and that so many are still around. Next time I watch this, I'm going to turn off the sound. The AI generated voice and narration are really distracting.
At 70 p[us, Virginia can still handle my onions
I am the Knight rider Baby!!!
I'm in love with Viginia Hey Those Eyes and Hair

Cundalini wants his hand back
It was during this film that I learned that Australian women are exceptionally beautiful. 😊
Would love to get my hands on May's shotgun.
Wow it is horrific what happens to females as they age😂 🙈💀
Paul Johnstone Cundalini Died February 2023. Max Fairchild was also in mad max 2 the broken victim front of Humungus truck
