It's pretty cool to read the comments and see how people interoperate the song and it's lyrics. From my stance the song is about co-dependence in a Toxic relationship might be a substance or person. "I've depraved myself of all I had, and thought I need to for my own sake. I didn't think I would be so sad, but without you I cannot escape. not even the rain..." How you throw away your dignity and freedom justifying it would bring peace and happiness. The great lie you tell yourself that you can escape this pain, chaos and sadness by remaining attached to the entity that is part of the problem as that entity you don't want to part ways with due to your denial.
2019 and Araxii's vids are still great, Natural City is still a kickass movie (even if it is basically Bladerunner), and Stefan Poiss' music is still ascendant and beautiful.

I totally agree. I think that if someone is going through periods of loneliness due to their disorder, this is a great song to listen to. Really helped me in some of my darkest times
putting aside the fact that natural city is visually very appealing blatant ripoff of blade runner, the real tragedy is that it's visual charm got completely overwritten by unbearable melodrama to the point that it was impossible to enjoy the beauty of it. To make things even worse, over dramatic orchestral soundtrack with no appreciation for the genre whatsoever only contributed to the utter agony slowing it down. I highly recommend to watch it muted - while listening to MIAB for much more enjoyable experience.
