Something I've picked up about this game: the "for a [brand]" tags only really matter for body parts and exhaust midpipes - you can mount basically any radiator or engine in any car; engine parts only care about number of cylinders, so you can pop a wanja drive belt into another car if it shares the same engine type, but you can't pull a drive belt from an I6 into a V8. The other bit for exhaust is they have to match the engine and exhaust manifold configuration, which basically means twin pipes or Y pipes for V engines, and single pipes for I engines.
I’m liking this game myself deffly would keep watching a series you also can make money scrapping out wrecked cars on here. Hope you have a good day skapegote
I know I keep adding things but another little helpful hint, the only things that are truly specific to vehicles in the game or the exhaust pieces not counting the manifold. If a belt or a pipe says it's for a V8 or V6 as long as it says it isn't *brand* only it'll fit on any other engine that's the same layout. Suspension between brands will fit as well. In carburetors are only based on the engine layout as well. Makes it fun to mix and match the best suspension engine and drivetrain components between brands to make one ultimate car. You can also use different dashes in the vehicle that have more or less slots for gauges
The block is just the block... one piece, large and heavy, usually made of cast iron or aluminum. If you add a crank, con rods, pistons, bearings, cam, wrist pins, rings, and all applicable hardware (freeze plugs, wrist pin clips, fasteners, bearing caps for installed parts, maybe the main seals, woodruff keys, washers, etc.), that is generally considered a "short block." Add an oil pump, oil pan, lifters, pushrods, timing gears, timing chain, timing cover, heads, rockers, valve covers, and the necessary gaskets, and it becomes a "long block." These definitions are approximate... what is included with one long block may not be with another, and of course they differ by application too (for example, OHC designs won't have the stuff associated with pushrod engines, and the cam won't be part of the short block). The one certain bit is that short blocks never include the heads and long blocks always do. I would interpret "engine" to be the same as "long block" in the context of this game.
I'm posting this right now early in the video, you may already know it by now but just a heads up. You can't put a tow crane in the back of the Wanja, the Narnoo or the Juja you can. Needs a tow bed then the tow piece. I know you don't like hints but just a touch of help. There's a lot of small stuff in the game you have to watch for it doesn't tell you about.
Also it's a toss up on things below 60% on whether they work. If it says worn out on the items description, it needs fixing or replacing. Like that battery and the block.
You’ve got a boost leak with the car, it’s missing an inter cooler or pipe and it may need the second turbo to complete the system - which would explain why it might be struggling to start
Love the videos here’s a few tips I learned from playing after I seen your 1st video always fix everything before buying new and most parts are interchangeable amongst all cars cooling fans motors even 😉 and fix parts if possible then sell it gives you a little more money 💰 can’t wait to see the next video 🤩🍻
An engine block wouldn't have a head, cam or rotating assembly (crank, rods and pistons). Everything you were replacing is not part of the engine itself. The engine block could be fine but if anything on the top or bottom end is broken it won't run. The top and bottom end are not part of the block.
lets make it either blue, or purple please, i think you should do races and save up for a used tow truck just so you know what all of the tow truck parts are.
Ive had this game since 2017. was easier to make money before they updated it. best way to make money quickly is scraping vehicles. watch out for (scam) listings in the magazine you buy from, engines are high value as well as decent money in transmissions, rear diffs and certain dashboards are like 400-700 then once the car is stripped just sell the body then sell all the parts and no you dont have to fix every part to get decent money for the engines. stick to xgtv8s they can be big money even in bad condition, then just rinse and repeat till you have enough money to make a car you want. good luck everyone :)
Love your content but this Canadian obsession with v6s is unhealthy have you you ever felt an American made v8 still dropping a like raise hell and praise dale
What obsession with v6s?. I have owned plenty of v8s. They are good for somethings. My Galaxie is a 460 big block. Straight 6s are pretty sweet. I just don't believe a v8 just makes things better
Can you play The Forest again? I would watch the old one but audio is sooo bad! I know that you just played the sequel but I wanna see you play that. Maybe in videos this time.
the entire engine is blown. and were wondering why it wont start? bad block with working bolt ons doesn't equal good working engine. watching this episode was stressful
I do pay attention. Since none of the big parts can be replaced I just skipped over it. I will never spend a ton of time problem solving in games. It bores me to no end. I prefer my way of exploring how a game works. If this is all it takes to stress you out thats funny lol
@@SkapeGote I think you may have taken my comment the wrong way. I can see how my comment could come off that way given such little context which is my fault. To elaborate more I watch every video you post in full. I'm a big fan and love what you do. I know your always multitasking and love doing things the abstract way which is awesome. I just meant that point of the video had me talking to my computer like you could hear me trying to say look...look..look..right there....the block...the block....and then chuckle when you state..."why wont it start". I wasn't trying to bash on you and I apologize if it came off that way from my mid thought minimal context message I first left. Keep doing what you do.....nice to share such a passion for all things cars.
I'm trying to like this game, but it needs work on things like the (Parts list, Controls, Tutorial or Tips, Inserting parts) it difficult trying to place a belt when you keep selecting everything else but the belt.
It's easier to get to parts through the selector on the bottom with the name of parts and within that clipboard list - for the belt if you click the engine you can dig down into the generator and then the drive belt if memory serves (not in front of it rn)

Your engine block is 10% it us worn out, i wish you figured that out earlyer. either way keep grinding i love this series so far.
i have never played this game but im also mid video and im guessing that the engine being 10% means its probably a dead block
best way to make money in the game is to buy wrecked cars and strip them and sell everything from it
An hour of nothing for you maybe. I had so much fun.
I'm always pleased to see the timer on a SkapeGote video to go beyond that coveted one hour mark. Cheers, lad!
If you can't find a belt check your pants waistband or the laundry pile.😅
The frustration makes this game that much better.

I have built dozens on engines. I know the difference lol
Don't forget you can tune the engine when it's running it's the icon after the battery

Skape. I make this after watching. You are a real youtuber. You've had voice acting. You have loyal fans. We love you.
You’ve got a boost leak with the car, it’s missing an inter cooler or pipe and it may need the second turbo to complete the system - which would explain why it might be struggling to start
I said a loose car is best off corner. Higher speed down straights. Slow down during entry, speed away after.
Yeah, I really like this game - thanks SkapeGote!
I think this game has the potential to be great, need some bugs and inventory sorted first though...
I like how you don't give up
I'm enjoying this game. I would suggest focusing on one corner of the car at a time. Worst first.

I just love your videos keep it up skapegoat and I also think the license plate says 1st mom and not 1st madam
Well, you can sell it and buy an actual tow truck this time😅
How the heck was I supposed to know. It was basically a wreck

I have built plenty of engines. My point is that since none of that stuff is removable it would make sense to say the block instead.
@@SkapeGote I gotcha. I just kept hearing block and seeing a complete engine and I confuse easily. Thanks for the vids.
it hurts to watch because I did the same thing starting out now I always check the block status
No one’s really covering this game, sub from me dude 👏
Skape listen to your bud the block is done for get another for the wanja
love your video I feel comfortable and calm wh watching your videos

I don't know about you, but if I don't really understand something, I would take a second to read every word on the screen
Great videos by the way
You will fix it bro.
loved it
Try buying a couple used wanjas and take its engine if it is good then repair it.
Love your videos man keep it up🎉

@SkapeGote maybe this sounds super American but why not more horsepower not necessarily more speed all the time
I think it’s not rusty enough, make it brown 💩
Change the block of the motor
How about purple.

maybe pay a bit more attention to details on the screen as a suggestion....
