- Princess Charlotte steals the show at Sandringham as she hugs a well-wisher following the Christmas Day church service.
The young royals were with the Queen, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at St. Mary Magdalene Church.

When the Cambridge children feel shy, they instinctively grab for the nearest parent - showing how much trust they have in their Mum and Dad. William and Catherine just seem like natural parents.
That is what every kid who has normal parents will do.
@@LayllasLocker not necessarily true with the reality they have, it is pretty sad, but I used to nanny for a family of very influent and rich politicians in my country and whenever kids were uncomfortable they would run to one of us from the staff, children from families like that are most likely to feel safer around employees than parents William and Kate are probably very present for their kids to see them as a comfort source (I'm so sorry, english is not my first language)

I don't see the Cambridge children as shy..I think they are quite perceptive. The last 2 years have seen horrific PR smear on their parents, and from close quarters too..little ones sense things acutely. Love how protective Catherine n William are over their children..
I really liked how catherine didnt push charlotte but allowed charlotte to move at the pace she felt comfortable with. Catherine and William come across as loving good parents

Yes, she didn't force her to do anything that she was uncomfortable with. I noticed she grabbed Charlotte's hand after she kept feeling Charlotte grabbing her coat, even if that meant she couldn't shake any more hands. Good mothering instincts. Seems Charlotte just needed a bit of reassurance because she ended up choosing to hug that lady at the end with the fabulous glittery boa who gave her a pink flamingo!🦩
I love how she feels protected by her mum instead of the tens of bodyguards.

@@polanco187 where are you getting that idea from? At least a couple of times a week you see some Royal during a walkabout and is shaking hands and talking to people in the crowds. I've never heard anything either of them being trained not to shake hands at all. SMH

I love how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge teach their children. You can see how hands on they are. There children may have a nanny, but she is not their parent.

Kate just exemplifies what a Queen looks like. So graceful and stunning, like her mother-in-law.
I can Not express enough just how much of a lady Kate is. Her respect, dedication and impeccable protocol completely astounds me every time I see her engage in public. It is clear to see just how dedicated she is not just to the public but to her family too. She most certainly is a True Royal in my eyes and no better “Queen In Waiting”, Could be as fitting. Was also thinking of this. I was worried for her at first,t and then she did go over to take the rail, and did well, really! I know she would not want anyone to fuss over her and if she truly needed and wanted the help she would let the person know she needed their arm, am sure. but she tries hard to be so independent. I would have had problems. LOL She has inherited their healthy genes.

I like how personal Kate and William are with the crowds. They even allow their kids to meet everyone one on one. They don't have to do it but they do. It shows how grateful they are to the people who support them.

One thing I think that makes Kate so endearing to people is that she will stoop or squat so she is talking to them face to face such as about 2:57 & again at about 3:15. The Queen was rocking it in red! She is all that and so much more! Princess Charlotte was a little shy but it's her first time! Kate forced Charlotte to shake hands with the old handicap woman in green and with the handicap boy but she flatly refused. She shaked hands with the priest though but not with the poor ones. She only chosed the people she shake hands with . She has indeed a bad attitude as I always noticed about her. And she did not steal the show because people (particualarly the handicap boy in wheelchair)were not even looking at her. Most of the people who were there were elderly ,most probably fans of the queen. Lesson: Dont exploit the kids just to get attention.
Leyla - Goodness, why being nasty to a kid. It's Christmas and no one is exploiting a kid. Get a grip. This is the child's first time to do a walkabout and meeting people. Do not assume that rejecting a hand shake would equal a bad attitude. She is obviously shy and not accustomed to meeting the crowd. Did you also see her hugging a woman, accepting a gift from someone, and thanking a kid for giving her flowers? Guess not.
