Hi There. Great overview of the Phantom. Questions - what would you say the reason would be for someone to chose the round tail vs squash? And what fins would you recommend for good head high plus reef waves? Im 6ft 185lbs. Thank you. I almost bought one today at ET surf in Hermosa but came home to do some research. Jon
I would consider myself a bigger guy 5'11 and 207lbs.. not a fatass..but in pretty good shape i would say i am an intermediate surfer.. recently bought an astro pop at 6ft and 35 liters. i want to pick up a phantom for when it gets going up here in HB -- however i dont know if i should get a regular phantom...or a phantom Xl...i would like to get a little more paddle power and would be looking at the 36 liter Phantom... i dont know if i should go with a 6'2'' regular phantom or a 6 ft phantom xl at 36....
@Pyzel Surfboards hey, glad I found this. Been looking at the Gremlin and Phantom. I like the idea of having a full bodied board that is as loose as possible for manuevering in the pocket and trying to squeeze every bit of speed and turns out of a wave. 6'2" 215lbs, int/adv but closer to advance. Athletic and can paddle very well. What size Gremlin or Phantom would you recommend? Also, looking at the electralite construction. Love the EPS feel for anything head high and under but don't understand the difference between standard EPS and electralite other than stringer? Most of my boards range from 35.4 - 35.7 Liters....Would love to hear your thoughts!!

Which board did you end up liking more I can’t decide between them I mostly surf in waist to head high, intermediate skill level
@@mrlopez4623 out of the astro pop and the phantom.. definitely the phantom.
Got a 6 foot phantom and just shredded perfect 5 foot left handers
How does the phantom compare to the slab 2.0
Yew! sounds like fun!
