Probably up until recently because computers can hold files, file folders were the thing in businesses. I worked in a bank, a business, and as a classroom teacher. We used file folders, hanging file folders, pocket folders, file pockets and pressboard folders with fasteners. I find them at Goodwill/Thrift stores. l have a supply, but I see you took paper, scored it, and made it look like a file folder. Clever! All you showed was way cool! And never hurry! 🤣

Margareth, I am certain file folders are loved in America lol. By middle school, definitely by high school students even use them for certain subjects. Here you can get them almost anywhere. It's crazy!

This was a glorious tutorial and it's so lovely to be called "luvvies". Although I'm a very raw beginner I will go out on a limb and say that I would LOVE to see a tutorial on the large satchel, even if only as a big project to aim for later on. Perhaps you could do it on 2 or 3 parts if necessary.

I was wracking my brain on what I'd use to build the 3 flap file folder. Turns out that the really thick brown paper that the sky light builders used to cover our hardwood floor and left a large section of the roll (bcoz I saw potential and asked them to lol) is the perfect thing for this. The role is 3 ft tall by some 3-4 ft long. That should be plenty to build me some folders. I was struggling and felt a bit lost with the other video where you used the pre-made folder/decorated it. You kindly shared the link to this video and I am a happy camper :) Your style is EXACTLY my style, thank you for your laughter, amazing creativity and most of all, your generosity!!! Love that you talk to yourself like I do lol.

The tool with the little round ends is called a stylus. It was probably one of the first tools that I ever had on my paper craft journey. Looking forward to this series. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

I have a very short attention span, but this was so much fun to watch I saw the whole thing. Loved the green backdrop folder and the last two with the sanding disc. It was easy to tell you were having so much fun.

Fun with three flap file folders on a Friday in February. I love that you have shown us how to make our own. The blue one is my favourite, just because of the colour😊. I have some of Mr Tim Holtz 12x12 Kraft card from years ago, so I may make a really grungy one. TFS❤

Loved your video. Not only did I make this style file folder along with you, it became a full-on, road trip down memory lane! I loved Wham and still remain where I was when I first heard the song and saw the video for it. I had never seen a three flap version of this type, and I've seen a lot of file folders! Oh wow - I love these!!! An idea... How about kraft colored A3 paper or whatever size you want...heavily grunged up in Tim Holtz distress inks and/or oxides? Your very own DIY Tim Holtz inspired colored kraft paper like those last file folders. You can sand it and distress it just like his paper - but more variety of sizes.

Great make. BTW sizzix come up with paper like Tim holtz in A4. You can see 'take2Tuesday' with Stacey Park. Also that Jacquard stamps are really good. Might not be our color yet. I am still pushing her to come up with more grungy-er color.

I love these 3 flap folders. I haven't been able to find this brand here in the states yet. But Walmart has something similar. I have some file folders without the extra flaps as well. I'm excited for this series because I've seen some of the amazing projects you've made with these and I'm excited to see what you come up with!
