I NEED HELP. Mine says USB: Unknown board. When I try to upgrade to firmware version v96.5 universal it only goes through 1 of the 2 update stages and says it's safe to close window. It never prompts me to turn ignition on/off and it doesn't give me the, "The ecu will stop running models(not function) while updating. Continue?" warning message. It still says Unknown board afterwards. It also states it's in manual mode rather than automatic and there is no "keep calibration data" check box.
If the wizard cannot find a matching ITwiz file then it sounds like you might not have upgraded to the latest version of Infinity Tuner Software. Please contact our tech support for further troubleshooting.

Take a look at the firmware update process at around the 4:30 mark, the steps in this process will answer your question.
Glad to see that you're continuing to support the Infinity ecu's! Now if only we could get the forums back, so much information lost.

Does this mean the Infinity will work with the 22 channel can expansion or is that still not supported?

Yes, the ecu/software will convert the old calibration if you have the latest version of Infinity Tuner software.
