liberos normally don’t serve, no. they’re allowed to hit, but the ball cannot be above the net if they do. so they can’t jump and hit it, because it would be illegal. how has she played for a year and not known this?
it’s a legal play because he didn’t actually spike it. if the ball was above the net then it would’ve been illegal and the other team would’ve gotten a point.
