I started playing in a rec league post college, literally thrown into a game beacuse they needed an 6th player & learned on the fly over the years 🤣 which has lead to some wonky technique but I'm definitely getting better!

His resume is legendary (4 time national champion, 4th most wins in division 1 history, 2x AVCA coach of the year, 10x WAC coach of the year, 11 WAC titles, 85% win percentage as a head coach for over 40 years, etc.) and he coached his boys up really well. Here in hawaii, we don't have any professional sports teams so the rainbow wahine being a national powerhouse for 4 decades was just amazing. He's sort of a superhero here.

Used to play against my big brother back in high school and he was the one who motivated me to become a setter. During summer breaks his team goes to our school for friendship matches and it's such an awesome feeling to be able to share the same passion with one of your family members!

Dave is absolutely amazing! he really cant hear very well but still plays at the highest level. it is an inspiration to all of us! he is so good in every facet of the game. the one rule we have with dave is that if he calls for the ball you let him get it. 1. he is so good at making the plays he goes for, and 2. he cant really hear when other guys call for the ball. so if he calls for it, he gets it!
Well for the match it was a pretty good one and it was fun seeing you both playing opposite each-other! And for the parts with Kawika they were extremly funny especially the last moments like lollll ahahahahahahah Erik you're so lucky to have him as your brother! Kawika it was a honor to meet you!
