So strange, this is the only video I’ve seen with that particular airbag cover with the large logo, all other videos of the 2023 Golf R have the usual airbag cover with the undersized logo

Yup. I believe most 2023 R's, well it might depend on the build date of the 2023 R, are coming with the new steering wheel. And people who have the earlier editions of the R's that may have driver assist and other assist related error notifications, they can get a new steering wheel through the warranty process which will be this steering wheel.

About to get a '22 R (with the updated infotainment chip it seems because it was super quick and responsive) that's $10k under MSRP with 1000km/600miles on the clock (test drive vehicle)

Just to be clear the MSRP in my region is around $65k, so at $55k with tax, it's still $10k more expensive than the US version, however we do get the IQ taillights and the Akrapovic Exhausts alongside the alcantara seats, and it has black package, so black mirror caps, black grill strip, and black rims
