    As a Filipino who has never left my country, not once, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that his imitation is SPOT ON. My accent isn't even that thick and he can still do a better job at sounding like a Filipino with a thick accent than me. Shit blows my mind

    The most spot on Filipino accent I've ever heard by a non-Filipino. Then again, he has the most spot on accents of most other ethnicities too! I love his Chinese accent!

    I'm Filipino, and honestly, I feel it's definitely closer to a stereotypical accent than an Indian one. Heck, the impression's pretty convincing. A lot more people talk like that lady who was saying "Oh my gad" than you realize.

      It's "trapic" or "trapik" when it's said in vernacular, it's the short and more casual form of the word "trapiko" which in english is "traffic"

    He somehow sounds like a Filipino however some words are pronounced incorrectly. Filipinos have a very rare accent and it's actually surprising how he imitated it even he has been in the Philippines just for a while. Anyways. Good comedy. I am a Filipino. I am not even triggered. He's kinda funny though specially the " Create the lane" system. It's hilarious 😂

    I love Russell Peters, just as I love JoKoy. Their jokes are not offensive at all. Comedians always love to talk about things that are not obvious to the locals but are quite funny for tourists and magnifies it hundred times!

    It's funny but Most Filipinos don't pronounce "God" as "Gut", they say it "Gad". We don't exchange T's for D's. Mostly B and V.

    For those complaining about his filipino accent just remember not everyone can do perfect accents of all nations. And for those who complain about him poking fun at other people's countries you will notice it pokes fun at Indians as well.

      True. I’m Filipino and I agree. Although at first I didn’t know if it’s going to be offensive so I had to watch the whole thing to be able to judge it and I’m glad I did. It was was funny. HAHAHA!
      About the accent thingy, I think he got the diction right but the intonation was a little bit Indian. It’s understandable especially when he switches from both accents.

      There wasn't much for us Filipinos to relate to the joke aside from the mention of Manila and traffic. I guess we are offended because we were expecting a joke that would burn us, but what we got was one that wasn't tailor fit for us, unlike the Saudi with the bomb jokes.

    I am a Filipino, born and raise in the Middle East in Oman, then in Qatar with my Filipinos mom & dad, and tbh, I discover additionally about my culture because of him. Yes I'm a bit sensitive to his jokes but everything how he speak it's 'almost' true. I love messing around about discovering my culture and mahal na mahal kayong lahat mga Pinoy sa buong mundo X3

    I'm a filipino and the way you speak english w/filipino accent is 100% filipino accent hahahha. I like indians i remember when i was a child the BOMBAY (what we called to some indians in our country but sometimes they're from other part of any south asian country or indian lookalike country hahaha ) they lend us money always thankyou for that hahaha

    Pretty funny but also... 10 years ago, the traffic in the Philippines used to be worse!! You could literally make your own lane and drive even if the light was red if you saw an opening. I remember being in one car and being able to legit high five my friend in the other car beside me...that's how close you get to cars. Craaaazy!

    I didn't even notice he was mocking our accent, cause clearly few Filipinos may speak that way but generally most of us Filipinos have good diction or accent and can speak english pretty well. At first, I honestly thought he was just changing his voice to emphasize the other persons point of view.
