Mountain Hiking Suggestion in Norway - Bitihorn (English Subtitles)

Hello and welcome to a new hike in Norway! This time, the journey takes us to Bitihorn, standing at 1607 meters above sea level. Driving from Oslo takes only about 3 hours. We tackled it in the first weekend of September, the day after we completed the Besseggen hike. The weather was fantastic as we woke up in our tent at Maurvangen on Saturday morning. With the day ahead of us and not just wanting to sit in the car heading back to Oslo, stopping to climb Bitihorn seemed like a natural choice.
This peak is accessible to many people and is recommended if you're looking for a relatively short, effective and beautiful mountain hike and perhaps don't have a whole day to spare. The hike is about 4.4 miles round trip with an elevation gain of around 550 meters, providing a good opportunity to get both your heart rate up and a bit of lactic acid flowing.
The hike was completed on September 2, 2023.
