She's not. She wrote this song for her X album after recovering from cancer. It's dedicated to the "distant child" she'll never have. The song is so sad that her record company didn't let her include it on the album, though it was later performed during the X Tour, becoming the fans' favourite. She eventually recorded it and made a video to acknowledge her loyal fans.

To be fair though, she waited too long.. she chose to always to put her career first before having a child, and there is nothing wrong with that. But you can really expect to be fertile forever.

@@hugoshaw5900 I agree with you the caner did not help. But I remember he stated several times in her career during interviews she was not sure when or if she would have children. She never wanted to be married either. I truly believe if she were to have children, it would have been with Michel in her early 20s. Obviously, I do not know her so I can not say.
I am 27 I myself, although I am still young, dont think children or marriage is in the works for me, though I have been asked to be married twice by two different men, to each I have said no. Im focused on my education, travel, and having a career.
Kylie strikes me as the same type.

I listened interview when Kylie talked about her breast cancer treatment and the influence on her fertility...when she started to cry there, so did I...it's so sad because she said she always wanted children...she would definitely be an amazing mother because she understands people's feelings, emotions and their desires...despite she never had children, she loves them so much...one of the most real and honest famous people in the world...because when I listened to her interviews, I realized how amazing person she is...intelligent, well-spoken, down to earth, respects everyone, polite, mature...when she says something, she really means that...unlike most other celebrities who only wants attention and nothing else...she has had a very successful career, but more of that she is amazing as a human...so beautiful inside and out...we all love her so much💝💝💝

To all the children that were expected, but never arrived, and to all those who had been preparing for their best role and never got to chance to fulfill it, please know that the love you have is not lost. You are correct. If you listen to the lyrics you will hear "My step into eternity is not what it might have been" alluding to the fact that she might have died from the cancer, but she did not. The record company did not want to include it in the X album fearing that it was too melancholy because they knew what the song was about. It is a fan favorite because most fans can really feel the inspiration in this song even without knowing why. This is a triumph of music touching the soul.

This year was K25, it's a celebration of her 25 years in the industry aimed at real fans, not the masses. She did one performance of each songs, one of which was on her proms in the park show, she made an orchestral album not to dominate the charts, but to pay homage to her earlier work, but yet it still got to number 2 in the albums chart. People like you need to stop criticising artists for being different to the masses, she's one of the reasons pop is still where it is today, respect that.
