Do you want to enjoy the DIY process and play with imagination? The easy-to-go assembling process allows you to understand the various modules and parts of the printer in more details and learn how a 3D printer is working.
Anycubic LeviQ Automatic Leveling System with a 25-point precision detection firmware algorithm will help you easy to use and print your models.
You don't have to worry about the model removal, a PEI-Coated Metal Sheet can meet easy removal requests.
With the maximum print speed of 100mm/sec, you can turn your ideas into reality every second counts.
This is my favorite video of yours. Not because the topic is particularly interesting, but because of how you interact with your niece. Many others have already pointed it out, but the way you speak to her as an equal and empower her to be an active participant in the build, it’s truly a masterclass in teaching. Bravo, sir!
Woah, Calm down with the videos. You wouldn't want people to think you're regularly releasing content.
He had my interest as a teen 😂 that’s when I discovered him.
He’s truly awesome
I'm gonna fool the algorithm!
@@BenHeckHacks The hype is real ✌️
I loved the goofy uncle-niece dynamic in this
I hope you are printing out The Rock for her for Christmas!
Ben's the coolest uncle ever 😍
Yay! We received one of these for Christmas, and my 12 year old and I are assembling in the morning! First time watcher, now subscriber!
i have respected you for years sir, you have proven that my prior assumption was spot on as you kept a semi interested teenager interested and interactive throughout the course of the entire build.
i would never have known that she was not your child as others have said but it definitely shows that you have not only been a part of her life but a highly active member as well and she loves her funky uncy
Whenever Bud isn't on screen, the audience should be asking, "Where's Bud?"
"Your brain probably works better than mine cause you're younger than me" It's more likely the lack of lead exposure.
And booze
Best part of the whole video, teaching your niece while not being condescending and giving her confidence and positive reinforcement when she learns something or points out a correct step. Good uncle!
Seeing the patience Ben had with Todd Rogers and the other BS on the Ben Heck Show, I don't wanna see Ben when he's done with the BS.
@@Skellotronix oh that’s right. I totally forgot that Ben did that. It was a very weird episode which made me really wonder how deep the rabbit hole for Rogers was.
@@greenmaillink Check out Karl Jobst his videos on Todd Togers and Billy Mitchell are great.
@@Skellotronix I have been following his videos since both Mitchell and Rogers had their names stricken from the record. I’m flabbergasted how those two still manage to be as impactful as they still are.
"You gonna be a programmer when you grow up?"
...."probablly not"
...."You can make alot of money!!!"
Man this sounds like my conversation with my daughter
If you had told me your niece was your daughter, I'd have just been like "Yup"
It's my sister's kid, I think she looks more like her dad than her mom.
@@BenHeckHacks maybe you have a bias for the differences over the similarities but we can only see the similarities with you.
@@docwhogr Well I also know what her dad looks like so I'm biased too!
Your niece's suspenders are awesome! It's clear you're a really good uncle too. Always great to see you post a new video.
Good job uncle Ben passing on that knowledge. Beautiful
Really liked this video. After the failed attempt at building my first 3D printer I was looking at this one. Watching you go through the build has really helped with my decision. It's also very cool to see you aren't all that far from where I live lol.
Wow that family resemblance!
😁
Bud does not appreciate being called a "flabby tabby" 😾😅
Your niece (Lydia?) seems pretty awesome. Does she have to put up with a bunch of Uncle Ben/Spiderman jokes? _Kobra Go_ looks like a good budget starter. Amazing what one gets these days for ~$200 and a bit of elbow grease.
Nice (family) vibe in this video. Thanks Ben & Lydia
Three videos?! Aren’t we lucky!
Be prepared for months without videos.
This is why I love my neo. It auto levels and calibrates everything on its own through the interface. Literally three minutes and get ready to print.
Really appreciate the content, Ben. I prefer these shows over your old one even. Love the off the cuff stuff.
Ben, you’re spoiling us this week! :)
Ben would make for a badass car workeroner (don't like the connotation of the word mechanic). You'd be surprised how many of them in the field, who have worked on them for years and years, still don't know to start all the bolts first and then tighten them. I'm always excited seeing him back in the spotlight, without Element 14 attempt beating the soul out of him, but now doing what he wants to do on his own terms. It makes me happy. You've inspired me, among many others, and taught us so much you wouldn't believe. We love you Ben!
Hey Ben, check out Prusa Slicer. I know I know. I myself took a very long time to try it out. I've been using S3D for years and mainly stuck with it because first I paid quite a lot for it and second I was being lazy or was slightly apprehensive of moving to something that at the time I thought looked unnecessarily complicated. Well when I finally gave it a try I was blown away. Super fast and easy to use and tons of features. It's also well documented with tons of videos covering pretty much all of the features. I should add that my prints look fantastic again and many of the issues I was having are gone. I don't know what S3D has been doing. Yeah I do, nothing that's what. Slicer is a very efficient and very tunable slicer. It's all I use now and I'm very happy with it. Cheers.
My flashforge is an old workhorse. Many years ago I put the aftermarket gold metal extruders on it you could find on eBay and they’re excellent. I have so many spare parts for makerbot clones too so it makes me reluctant to get a new printer. The only issues I ever have anymore is I have to replace the stepper motor cable every several years because of all the movement. I still have my cupcake CNC fro way back when normal people didn’t know what a 3d printer was 😂
But the Bamboo Carbon printer looks pretty awesome…
I was having z shifting issues for a couple weeks, until I set up my camera. Then I saw my cat slapping at the bed moving until it made the skipped step sound which scared her off...
Thankfully she has quit doing that now, but I was pulling my hair out over that.
Watching you adjust the Z offset was painful but you're still the man Mr. Heck.. love the videos
HI Lydia! Welcome! Can't wait until my 8 year old is you age so she can start making content. Your generation is going to change the world!
For the worse.
For 8mm super 8 film, you should definitely check out the Film Photography Project Store. Although I do suspect one as wise and superfluously knowledgeable as yourself is likely to be acquainted with the store and podcast already. And thank-you for the continued exquisite content and sublime rambling.
Lydia is cool. Next time she should do the building.
Super wholesome to see you teach.
I love a good Ben Heck printer review.
Great video as usual. Unless you have a burning desire to build your own printer, you can find good "nearly assembled" ones at comparable prices, especially with all of the holiday deals out there right now.
Love the Star Wars lesson shared ❤😅 You aren’t born a master ❤
Forgive me for saying Ben, but you seem a lot more comfortable / relaxed / focused the last couple of videos. I've no idea if it's representative of how you're feeling, but you certainly feel like you're more on top of stuff.
Really? When I was editing the MCU video (which I started beginning of October) I though I sounded sick. Like cough cough sick. But I wasn't. But I sounded sick.
@@BenHeckHacks I was more thinking in terms of outlook and clarity those human things that make you engage with someone. I may be entirely wrong and you're feeling miserable! 😂
"Like when Luke had to learn how to be a Jedi from Yoda."
"Oh my god..."
Yep, I recognize that reaction. Why can't people just appreciate a good Star Wars analogy? :)
Also, your niece should know that if she starts learning now, she can be qualified for a programming job as soon as she graduates high school. There are always programming jobs available, you can work from home if you want, and yes, you can make a lot of money.
You should get your niece to meet Jeri!
Those yellow suspenders are ballin, I need them.
I wanna say she found them at Goodwill.
She's a big FNAF fan, wanted to be the Purple Guy for Halloween
@@trashcatforever78 Kinda creepy you know all this about Ben's niece who's 14...
@@Skellotronix Well, she is my daughter so...😁
@@trashcatforever78 Sorry for being hostile, just trying to be careful.
@@Skellotronix Thank you!!!! Very true
Hey Ben you got to take a look at tree support in Cura. It is mutch better, greetings from Belgium.
I see Wisconsin must not have got any of the snow we got here ND. It looks like you filmed this in summer by the looks of the outside in the video. Always entertained with your videos thanks Ben!
Ben putting out almost as many videos as tweets lately! 😁
In Amazon Canada the acg is only 30 dollars cheaper than the next tier. On a related note, I'm so sick of bed slingers. I sold them all and I'm going to buy a commercial grade corexy
Have you ever bought a lawnmower? I'm a child. :)
Where is the Rock?
Yellow suspenders. Nice.
Hi Ben, based on the drawings, you were supposed to squash the anti-backlash nut while screwing it onto the Z-rod to provide tension.
So Ben haven't fried anything in this video)
Imagine Ben is your uncle. How cool is that!
On the other hand,
Imagine Ben is your uncle. How horrible is that!
Try the Mintion Beagle Ben, offers printing and monitoring of printers from anywhere with an internet connection
I second that bud needs to make a rap song and video
I love a good Ben Heck printer review.🤭🤭
I wish that the major 3d printer companies would offer a limited build of their most popular machines, aka, anycubic kobra, and offer a Kobra Max with a OMG extruder and liner rails for the XYZ axis, close loop feedback on all stepper motors and a pulse encoder for the filament feed. Is there a company out there that buys Enders and Anycubics and mods them out and sells them like Russ does with Porsche 911? I'd pay $1,000 for a tricked out Kobra Max!
What about having that unit installed in a fume cupboard so that all fumes get sucked out and expelled outside as no one want's to be inhaling noxious fumes.
Ben spoils us with videos.
OH, so you are the cool uncle?
Time for a DIY super 8mm digital cartridge build.
Still no proper metric system lessons for American students? that's a shame. Nothing against imperial/"freedom units" btw, but it cant hurt to learn the system that most of the world uses :)
Disappointed to not see a Dwayne octopus btw haha, besides that thanks for another great printer review 👍(and bonus points for cat hairs on the printer in no time hehe)
At one time you needed to find a kid to get someone who knew the metric system. Now you need to find an old person. Schools were all about metric in the 70s and 80s. I guess not anymore.
@@RambozoClown It was the commie, pinko, Carter administration, we can't have that.
Looking like $99 at micro center on Black Friday
I'm 42 and I went to the mall last weekend... I had to have a new battery put in my Casio G-Shock watch. How's that for old?
29:09 I paused the video to clear that notification and was confused when I couldn't find it
Have the exact same model and can’t get that damn owl to print. Even less other ones.
Proper Ben Heck Video Watching sequence:

3. Prepare ears for beautiful singing
4. Watch video
My anets have pei, and I’ve noticed that they prints adherebetter after it’s been used a bit.
Dang I really wanted to see a print of Dwayne The Rock Johnson.
27:17 You should talk to Adrian Black. He might have advice for updating your basement to digital..
Squish dat cat!
I order 2 kobra Go, now im using the mega Pro with laser
Try tree supports
I really wanted to see a Dewayne the Rocktopus
What printer would you recommend for beginners and for a 9 year to use
Guess the basement is too dangerous for generation Z, with wild cats, robot fish & all.
Kitty beans 🐈😻
"I'm doing a 3D printer review..."
*looks at extra person*
The resolution on the thing must be amazing to print out a full sized- oh.
Amazon's policies are why I go direct to the manufacturer for things anymore- or to sites like Adafruit. It explains the premium of a lot of Amazon's products.
I did not like this printer at all. The whole setting the z offset without it being centered on the plate and using a piece of paper was really frustrating. Even when you know what you're doing. I also constantly had an issue where it just wanted to forget about the z offset randomly that I set. It was constant releveling and setting the z offset. Just always doing that. And many other issues. It was weeks of frustration. I ended up returning it and getting the regular Anycubic Kobra with touch screen and its been nothing but flawless. For like 60$ more the regular one is WAY better.
when you have your Offset and print on another day you must be changed your offset for each print ?
No, only need to adjust if you jostle the printer around, or, if you notice it not printing a nice thickness of line with good adhesion to the build plate. You can feel this with your finger, just slide it over the freshly laid down filament and feel for thickness...
This video makes me wanna have kids with Ben.
Hello friend, can I ask a question? I have a kobra go and I have delamination in the ABS, I would like to know if I can turn off the hotend front cooler?
Yes, in Cura you can adjust the Cooling fan, look for it in settings. For anything by very small prints in ABS, you need an enclosure to let the bed temp heat up the print area to prevent warping.
we cannot get the filament to stick to the plate.
Things to check:
1. right temp for hotend? check lable on filament and start at least 5 degrees over the minimum temp indicated for the roll
2. right bed temp? Look up the best bed temp to use with the TYPE of filament you're using, often around 50C for PLA, 70C for PETG, etc.
3. Did you do the bed level procedure? If so then the issue is Z Offset, which is the other function in Bed Leveling. It sets the CLOSENESS to the print bed for the first layer. Start a print and immediately go to that menu, start increasing the "-" until you can see it sticking to the bed and can't just gently slide a finger over the trail of filament and have it MOVE easily. Make sure to save that new Z Offset and you're good to go.
Going for $99 at microcenter as of Dec 02, anyone interested could buy before out of stock.
You should've given the printer to your niece
But you used to hate usbc
At 14:51... nice catch... ;)
I think I have 3 lawn mowers and I use none of them.
Cool genes run in the Heck family
You don't need a Pi to run Octoprint anymore, you can run it on an Android phone if you have an unused one laying around. #TheresAnAppForThat
I live in an apartment. I have no need for a lawnmower. 😛
Let this video serve as a testimony to the tragic level of US school system. AFAIK since 60' the plan for converting to metric system was to teach in schools both, and slowly let the new generations tilt the population-wide preference to metric. However, this seems impossible if the new generations will never encounter metric system until their adulthood... 😓 I won't pitch you all the benefits of metric system, but the fact all the countries in the world (except like 3 3rd world countries and US) use it, should be motivation enough. I get, there is tons of machinery made with imperial units that needs spare parts and tools also in imperial, but there is also nothing stopping the industries to use metric system in new machines, except the lack of knowledge and/or motivation... Good luck, US of f**king A to keep up with the world 😁
Came for a Kobra Go review, left early with bad comedy:(
you're tearing me apart!
Let’s hope these people all buy cheap 3d printers so they have to get some knowledge with the metric system.
Did i see diet pepsi?

Making an aweful lotta videos for someone who’s retired from youtoob 🧐🤔🤨
I'm always working on.... Something. I guess there's just times when completion of projects converge.
Yay another anycubic printer with Kobra in the name making it even more difficult for me to find information on how to fix my current non working anycubic Kobra non adjective printer 🫤
