Josuke is so nasty with his stand because he could use it since he was a kid. Every previous JoJo so far had to learn the "new" power along the part but Josuke already has a pretty good knowledge about his abilities.
The Star Platinum's time stop is increased with practice. As Jotaro didn't use this power for so long, his seconds decreased, but he can improve again yet.
One of the great things about this episode is that it shows you that just being more powerful doesn't mean you're going to win. Star Platinum can punch Aqua Necklace. He could even stop time and punch it a lot but if something is made of water you can't necessarily destroy it with punching. He can't hurt the stand with punches and he can't get to the user (because searching for him in the rain would be a death sentence) so what can he do? This is the point where stand battles really start being more about the interaction of powers. They're all puzzle battles.
Thats what I love of Jojo, when I started I wasnt expecting the super powers to get so creative and I love it, actually it rarely is a matter of power, most of the times the opponent has to be outsmarted and the enemy stand neutralized before we even start seeing punches
Fun fact: in the manga, the one who named Crazy Diamond was actually Jotaro Also, about Josuke's ability, it's basically reverting things to a previous or different form. He can restore broken objects to its former state, or it can also fix them into entirely another form, for example he can restore the roads into asphalt, or into a wall to protect him against something. Btw, Jotaro's Star Platinum is still stronger than Part 4-6's main Stand if we're talking limited to stats alone

Each Jojo parts have their own unique charms but in term of technicalities like art and writing skill Araki (Jojo manga artist) arguably is getting better with each Jojo part. I also think that David Pro did the same thing with the anime adaption
in the manga early part 4 still had more resemblance to part 3 and slowly it transitioned into the artstyle you see in the later parts of the part 4 manga or in the anime. The reason why the part 4 anime can be a bit jarring at first with how different it is is because david productions chose to just go with that new artstyle from the start so its consistent start to finish
One of my favourite subtle moments in this episode is that you can see the rubber gloves hanging over a rail in the background behind Josuke in 2 separate shots before he pulls one out of his throat; in the first shot, both gloves are on the rail, and in the second shot one is missing. Continuity!
yeah part 4 is a lot darker for sure. i love the way it starts, they keep it fast paced (similar to part 3) but the pacing still works. i love josuke’s theme, im glad you guys picked up on it lol. im super excited for the next episodes. plus, i think you guys will like part 5 based on how you reacted to this ep lol.
i will say, stand powers on part 3 are kinda straight foward. part 4 and onwards stands powers are generally more complex and creative. powers that would normally be treated as pushovers in other media are shown to be incredibly deadly. i've come to the conclusion that jojo's is an horror battle shonen.
I honestly think Angelo is a worse person than Dio. I mean he I just awful. Also, about Josukes stand, it seems he can only fix physical things but if the soul leaves the body there’s nothing he can do. Also, I think it’s a great limitation on his power that he can’t fix himself. During this part, people’s personalities and lifestyles shape their stands a lot more than in part 3.

Hell yeah, glad you guys are liking part 4. It's honestly my favorite, with my favorite Jojo, Josuke. Fun fact, the delinquent attire Jotaro wore was themed after actual delinquents in Japan. Josuke is themed as the generation of delinquents that came after Jotaro's. So someone in Japan can just look at the manga covers and immediately know Josuke comes after Jotaro.
Please stand ability really has extra layer to the stand fights, which get more high concept in psychological as the series goes. And part 5 oof bigbrain mode it's truly activated
Why does it have to be about time? He can put a broken object back together any way he wants, especially if he's the one who broke it. Time alteration doesn't need to be a part of this.

Dio The World have the same powers as Star Platinum, Dio also had Hermit Purple (Jonathan Stand) which is the same stand Joseph have, Dio had powers of seduction in the form of roses and thorns (Holly also had roses and thorns on her back while sick, so that's probably it) and Josuke has a stand with healing and Dio also had crazy healing powers. Basically Dio stand powers were spread through the Joestars that were alive when he awakened his stand power. It's nothing that is said in the series but it can't be a coincidence if you think about it! I think is ok to watch the openings, JoJo openings don't have spoilers because you don't get the references.

when jotaro and josuke are fighting aqua necklace in his home you can see when they go into the bathroom there are 2 gloves but when they get out there is only 1 glove so that is a nice touch, waiting for the next video!
Loving these videos! Glad to see you're enjoying p4 so far. DiU really shows just how great of a studio David Production is. From those really sick transitions like the one on this episode, to the color palette and the way they adapted the art style. They even added extra scenes that really enhance the story. I'll make sure to point it out when you get to it and when it won't imply any spoilers.
Josuke’s power is just to rebuild anything he touches to how he wants (So back to normal or as a physical attack on them like the Student Josuke punched in Ep. 1)
One thing I love about part 4 is how each character gets their time to shine and be intimate with the audience. Not only that, but motivation is a bigger theme and characters have them.
As for the op I feel it's safe to watch it from ep 3 or 4. And you don't need to skip the ops from ep 4 even if it changes cuz it does not spoil much (the only op which does have a spoiler is an altered version which happens after the event occurs in the anime like Dio for the second op of Stardust Crusaders)
Angelo is genuinely one of the most fucked up villains in the show, it’s honestly crazy how quickly he’s disposed of considering how fucking monstrous he was. Also, his Stand Aqua Necklace is named after the band who sang “Barbie Girl” lol. Really glad you enjoy the new Part 4 art style. It’s probably my favourite style of the animated parts so far. The fights from here on out are gonna get continuously more and more abstract and crazy, Part 3 is gonna look like child’s play compared to the bazillion IQ strategies that are gonna come later.
I love how the stands in part 4 get so much more interesting. Part 3 had some great ones but too many were just punchy bois. Crazy Diamond will have many more interesting uses this part. Looking forward to it.

That is good, but is less than in Part 3. - In the manga it is explained that Jotaro is who gave Crazy Diamond its name. Before that it didn't have a name. That is all I can say for now, maybe I will come back when I can tell more.
Im very late to this, ha. But it's another cool episode from Part 4 so far. Only the beginning! I think it's awesome seeing these sides to Josuke here, continuing his introduction. It's very well known, but Josuke takes many traits from Joseph while still being his own unique character among the Joestar bloodline. He has the same exact tendencies as Joseph. Josuke has blackouts of blind rage whenever his hair is insulted, as you already know. But this is a subtle call back to Joseph's anger issues at the start of part 2. However, with Josuke his fits of blind rage are more important to his character arc. Josuke often has little to no memory of what happens when he reaches this stage of anger, the same way Joseph lashed out back in his youth. Angelo, a despicable human being, but a great villain just for how hate-able he is. He is based on the very talented musician and pianist, Angelo Badalamenti is who Angelo was based on!.. Namesake wise. I promise Angelo the musician is not even close to being this awful as a person compared to his inspired fictional counterpart, lol. Aqua Necklace, the stand is based on Aqua necklace! This stand is based on the band named: Aqua. Specifically, the design and the nature of itself is based on an album by Aqua called: ASIA I hope you guys continue to enjoy the exciting surprises Part 4 has in store for you. My boys eu I love that you guys are enjoying part 4! Part 4 is certainly darker, but still, we have a story about a city and for that and other reasons, this is the most unique part of JoJo! Wait for slice of life elements,some episodes may not even have action but they are SUPER INTERESTING, the stands get more complex and crazier with each one of them.

Josuke probs has my my favourite theme out of all the jojos, totally recommend you put it into ya playlist! Part 4 is where Araki puts all his big brains into a fight. Honestly sooooo goood! References this time! Angelo's Stand, Aqua Necklace, might be a reference to Progressive Rock band Asia's album, "Aqua." Memorable memes this time! Ep 2: "OH THATSA BASEBALL!" Ep 2: "ORA!" Ep 2: "Greato Desu Yo!" (Josukes iconic line, kinda like how Jotaros is Yare Yare Daze) Ep 2: "DORARARARARA!" Ep 2 : "Yare Yare Daze..." Josuke is definitely a underrated jojo in my opinion. It's not because he isn't loved enough per say, but because he is stuck between the 2 most known jojos in the series Jotaro and part 5 jojo. However Josuke is still a REALLY good jojo, and probably has my favourite fights for a protagonist for all the anime parts, with a close second from his father Joseph :P (atleast until part 6...) Personally I reckon Jotaros is my favourite ep 1 introduction, as we get introduced to Dio being the villain, Joseph comes back, and we see Jotaro using his big brain to destroy the toilet to douse Avdols fires. However Josukes ep 1 introduction is still good, repairing the turtle after fixing the bullies face wrong, as well as donutting two civilians and repairing them right after is badass. Also josuke feels more like a teenager in highschool than Jotaro himself haha. Though to be fair jotaro had to travel the world in 50 days while josuke just lives his life as a highschooler ^_^
Angelo is one of the best villains, he's written for you to hate and it works. Part 4 has some amazing villains and the best main villain in my opinion. Part 4 is good from the start but it gets more amazing as it goes on.

My boys eu I love that you guys are enjoying part 4! Part 4 is certainly darker, but still, we have a story about a city and for that and other reasons, this is the most unique part of JoJo! Wait for slice of life elements,some episodes may not even have action but they are SUPER INTERESTING, the stands get more complex and crazier with each one of them.

Josuke is definitely a underrated jojo in my opinion. It's not because he isn't loved enough per say, but because he is stuck between the 2 most known jojos in the series Jotaro and part 5 jojo. However Josuke is still a REALLY good jojo, and probably has my favourite fights for a protagonist for all the anime parts, with a close second from his father Joseph :P (atleast until part 6...)
Personally I reckon Jotaros is my favourite ep 1 introduction, as we get introduced to Dio being the villain, Joseph comes back, and we see Jotaro using his big brain to destroy the toilet to douse Avdols fires. However Josukes ep 1 introduction is still good, repairing the turtle after fixing the bullies face wrong, as well as donutting two civilians and repairing them right after is badass.
Also josuke feels more like a teenager in highschool than Jotaro himself haha. Though to be fair jotaro had to travel the world in 50 days while josuke just lives his life as a highschooler ^_^
Angelo is one of the best villains, he's written for you to hate and it works. Part 4 has some amazing villains and the best main villain in my opinion. Part 4 is good from the start but it gets more amazing as it goes on.
I would say he's one of the worst villains. Too over the top, part 4's main villain is a similar case but he's a much more interesting character.
