Interesting stopping the noise... not my issue but turning upside down and seeing how simple to look at, to give maintenance. 👍
TY so much! We also inherited our gate from a previous owner, but we live in a heavily populated area in our small town. My husband had just left for work when the gate started beeping - at 7:15am! I didn't know what I was looking at, but after a few seconds of panic I calmed down and googled, and your video came up. We don't use the gate much, so your video led me to finding the on/off switch on the underside of the control box on the gate arm. And ... blessed quiet!
We'll try taking the speaker out tonight while we figure out what the issue is that's keeping the battery from charging. Or if we need a new battery ... no telling how old it is.
Glad we could help.
omg>>>>best news I've heard all day and such a simple fix. Thanks from Cali.
You’re welcome
I didn’t even know there was a little beeper but brilliant solution. My question is I just bought a new marine battery to replace the one we had since it started acting up. We use solar and now the new battery has only been in about a month and the opener is again saying low voltage but we connected a charger and it’s continuing the beeping even connected. I’m going to do a hard reset but wondered if you had any thoughts on the problem. We’ve cleaned the connectors etc. I have the solar panel that is made to go with the mule gate openers and this unit has been installed for over a year. We’re actually in a better weather period for sun so I’m so confused with this issue. Thank you for this video solution while we sort this problem out!
There could be something wrong with the battery charger/maintainer function of the main circuit board. That is all I can think of. Unfortunately those are expensive and it is not worth buying the board over replacement of the whole unit.
Did you figure your problem out? I'm having the same issue. I ordered a new battery transformer. I hope this works.
@@bbtorliatt5524 It was a bad connection to the battery not allowing it to charge.
Did you find a solution to your problem? My gate is super slow, battery needs to be charge every weekend and the battery dies often I am so tired of this and nobody can fix it.
Good Guide line
Unloosen means to tighten
Is there a way to turn the beeper off in general? Not a fan of a beeper every time it closes
Sorry, I don't recall. I have not had this unit for a few years because it broke completely.
so I can remove the beeper and the gate will still work? Awesome, thanks.
Absolutely. You’re welcome.
Looks like your gate opener is upside down is that right for a reason?
The older Mighty Mules had to be flipped to access the electronics.
The reason that battery has a big and little connector is because it is a deep cycle battery on the old battery oh, it's made to go dead and be recharged over and over and over again, but if your battery is getting constant power charging it then you don't have to worry about it
So, does any regular car battery work by adding the brass terminal clips?
We have always used a regular car battery
Thank you
You’re welcome
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Why is it installed upside down?
You flip these old ones to access the control panel in the bottom. It is flipped to show you the location of the beeper.
Brilliant, so wish I thought of it! 🤣 duh, take out the speaker! 🤣
Lol. Glad it was helpful.
I actually have a question for you, do you use solar panels to charge your marine battery? My sister attempted to set up solar panels to charge the same type marine battery but the battery isn’t charging. Curious how you keep your battery charged. Thanks so much!
@@sibhagourd4313 Yes, I do use solar. The opener itself has a charge controller built in so it does not mess up the battery. I have two tiny solar panels that are maybe 35 watts. It basically acts as a trickle charger.
Country Living Experience: A Homesteading Journey ok, she has the same controller setup. I just put a good fully charged battery in and the gate opened but never shut. Checked the timer fuses and they’re fine, the main plug-in wire harness that plugs to the mother board is fine so my next guess is a bad motherboard? Thank you for taking the time, this issue has been difficult for me to research on the web. I’ll let ya know if I figure it out. May be time for a professional...lol
@@sibhagourd4313 No problem. I had a bad mother board on the last unit I had but it was 15 years old. May be time to just spring for a new one.
THANK YOU
You’re welcome
Great video but i put new battery on mine and it still beeps.
It could be several things. The power is being interrupted somehow and full power is not available, there is a blown fuse, or there is a dead cell in the battery.
@@CountryLivingExperience thanks it was the battery
That thing in his hand says “this side down”.
Exactly.
1:10 - Remove speaker
I guess he flipped it for service
Correct. That is the proper procedure.
