    My husband and I appreciate and value your reviews. When describing our equipment to others you are always mentioned and told we consider you the gold standard for making reviews. We've started with the Bluetti AC50S followed with the EB70 in 2021 These batteries were used until September 2023 in out tiny house travel trailer. In 2023 we moved up into the faster charging bluetti models. Needed something light and portable so we replaced our very first Amazon battery purchase with the Bluetti EB3A. Had been studying for several months after that purchase which model could consolidate the two older batteries. The dimensions and weight were always the problem. Finally we saw the AC180 which was perfect. What a game changer for us. We don't have solar so we added the AC70 a month later. Totally pleased with the fast charging aspect so we're in no hurry to get the solar. We operate 2 chest refrigerators totaling 87 quarts, with 28 operating as a freezer. At some point solar is inevitable. (Yes, Rick the refrigerators are 64 qt.Bodega and 23 qt.Alpicool so we can see your influence in those purchases.)
    We've watched your videos since the summer of 2020 and have learned from both of you. Linda love the cooking episode, but have learned from both of you about hiking safely in unknown areas. I'll close with, 🍰 keep the pie coming🥧. Take care Lee and Connie

    I have a Bluetti that I can use in the summer but in the winter Michigan is too cloudy to recharge the Bluetti with solar. So I have a Honda generator for the winter. The winter is when my electric usually goes off most of the time, sometimes for 10 days at a time. Nice review Rick.

    I like my AC200P and have two of them. I can see that being able to remove the two batteries would also make the unit lighter to move around, but not sure I would want to cut my main power unit almost in half if I couldn't afford extra batteries. Thanks for the review.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  8 місяців тому

      The AC200P remains on Bluetti's product list and is a dependable workhorse. We like ours. The handles on the AC180T aren't as easy to hold onto, but removing the batteries makes carrying it really easy.

    Funny. Had to use my kerosene lamp this morning. Power out 3 hours in this crazy below zero temps. Also using the bluetti to run my modem so I could have internet lol. That really is a very nice large power station. Ours isn't even close to that power. We just have the eb70s. It works great for small jobs, but wouldn't be able to run a heater on it very long. But that's what we have the buddy for, so it's all good. Maybe one day we'll get one of these bigger units.

    I like the extra battery idea. This is still on my list of things I would like to have. Portable power is one thing I need at my remote hunting property. The local power company wants 36k to bring power to my cabin.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  8 місяців тому +2

      I think I'd go solar and have a small generator to top off the batteries during extended cloudy days. One of the great features of this new AC180T is that you can get additional batteries to save more power. I'm thinking that these extra batteries may be less expensive because they won't need a built in MPPT controller for charging because they will just drop into the AC180T to recharge. The prices should be available soon and I'll get them posted asap.
