I remember unboxing my Nord Stage 3 88 back in 2020 and it's so great seeing other people's excitement for these instruments! The Stage 4 looks awesome!

I'm extremely excited to finally buy this beauty, probably by december. It's arduous to try and get these kinds of equipment in my country, but hopefully I'll find a way!

I remember exactly the moment I open the box of my stage 2 compact in 2014. I was in awwww! Never did I see a more beautiful piece, incredible build and materials, and hope these keys will always look like this. I sat in cockpit of many airplanes, and this was a panel like no other. Captivating and motivating, I’m 10+ years with 2 & 3 compacts. Just ordered the stage 4 HA 73, due to arrive the day after tomorrow. I hope it brings me such joy. Best wishes.

Love it! 😊 I got an Electro 6D and it's my workhorse keyboard for all the bread and butter keyboard sounds. There's nothing like a Nord; the build quality is impeccable.

Congrats mate:-) Hope it will serve you well for years to come:-) I can't wait to try the Stage 4 out in the music store. I currently own the Stage 3(88 keys), and are a little bit on the fence wether it's worth upgrading to the Stage 4.....only time will tell.
I played a jump-blues gig with it tonight and the piano sounded incredible. So far so good!

Any comments on the keyboard action? I’m considering the Stage 4 88. Coming from a Roland RD-2000 which has one of the best weighted piano actions in a stage piano. Thx!
So far it feels amazing. Proof is in the pudding. I have a show tonight which will be the real test. I'll let you know tomorrow.
@@BronsonHoover Thank you! I've been using the RD-2000 as midi controller for soft synths. While not playing live, I miss the immediacy of direct access without menu diving.

How does the piano action feel for the organs? Do you wish it was lighter with a waterfall action, or do you think the action is great for the synth, piano and organs?
Hey Brandon - if you're used to a real organ feel than this will be weird for you. I stack the E6D with waterfall keys on top for my organ stuff. If the organ parts are secondary it totally does the job. I need both boards for most of my work, but whenever I can get away with one board the Stage 4 is the best option I've ever had. And the synth engine is really powerful for how simple it is. Good luck!

Hi Bronson ! I had to Laugh ! I just got my Nord Stage 4 on May 20th 2023.. I was just as excited as you.. The night before I was dreaming I was playing my NS4.. for hours.. ! I was worn out from the excitement ! Hey.. I have a question.. I tune to 432 htz.. instead of the standard 440 htz.. do you know how to do this Global change on the NS4 ?
It's soooo deep. I have more quick tips to come. Next week I'm going to put together a video showing my sound design process from concept to performance. I'm having so much fun with this board.

Is sustain pedal and dust cover included in the package?
Not that I'm aware. They haven't released their new 3 pedal yet. It has a special connector and is supposed to add a lot of functionality.
Great video. Need to be running stereo though.
For these videos and for studio, I completely agree with you. But I don't like to run stereo for live shows because that only sounds good when you're standing in the center of the audience. I want it to sound good for the whole audience - even the folks in the balcony right up against the front plane.
Thanks for the vid. Packaging is horrible, it should be much easy to take out the device out safely. Especially for that money. That’s a simple engineering solvent.

Thanks man. I'm not a fan of those giant staples, but otherwise the packaging isn't too bad. So far she plays like a dream.
OMG the packaging is HORRIBLE. Nearly impossible to get the box open and then when I finally got it open it was very awkward to lift out of the box. The styrofoam literally fell apart like paper mache and the stupid thing slid right out of the plastic like an eel and banged on the floor. They couldn't have sealed the plastic for $6000? Not a single note played and it was already damaged. Disgusted.

Correct** if u can chek in the bottom missed 4 screws its normal?
I also see four empty screw holes. This must be for the Nord stand. I'm pretty sure this is normal.

It's funny you say that, I've been thinking about changing the color somehow. I'm not usually a fan of red, and I think it would be cool to customize it. You know me man, I'll post a video if I go that route!
Great board but at that price, it's criminal no sustain pedal was included. Not right!
At that price I wouldn't mind a hardshell case too. But so far it's been worth the loss of one of my kidneys.

Get something else just as capable and put $3000 back in your pocket, as a matter of fact Nords are sadly lacking in some programming capabilities, I guess a lot of keyboard players just aren’t aware of that
Thanks for the financial advice. I don't know which programming capabilities you're talking about, but you may be right. However, I'm a live player and what I like is how easy it is to change things on the fly on stage. The cool thing about the options we have as musicians is that different players need different tools. It sounds like you're a studio cat who needs to dig in deeper. I'd love to hear more about that. For me as a live player I've never played a board with this much flexibility and power on stage. I'm still extremely happy with my purchase.
That’s cool, I’m actually a live player too, steadily playing the last 32 years, don’t get me wrong, nords sound great, but a piano is a piano is a piano, all the major brands sound great, Yamaha, kurzweil, korg, Roland,, I looked into Nord, limited programming, no definable split point, no numerical keypad, you could only have 2 pianos, 2 synths, 2 organs, what if I want 4 synths? I can, but it would take to much work, on a kurzweil I could literally program a sound 512 layers deep, you can’t do that on a Nord, and that’s just one example, there are many others, to me the cost wasn’t worth the money, but If I came across a used one at what I thought was a great price, I’d buy it, only a stage 2 and up though, lol, but good luck with it
@@jemkeystv5717 I used to be a Kurzweil guy myself. Many, many years ago. I'll do a video about the splits though, because I really like how it works on the Stage 4. We can have 4 splits with blends in between splits. It's pretty cool. Let me know if you're ever playing the DC/Baltimore area and I'll come say hello. Good luck man!
