The fact that Edmen can potentially fight the likes of Romero, Till, Whittaker, Costa, Adesanya is very exciting, 135, 155, & 185 are by far my favorite divisions, the matchups that can be made are absolutely phenomenal
145 as well. Volkanovksi, Holloway, Zombie, Zabit, Ortega, Yair, Kattar etc.

He didn’t push him towards it, it’s just a range finder and helps maintain balance

@@rhull3939 I disagree bro, Tavares himself moves his head towards that way to try and dodge his 'jab'. It's common to use that hand to block line of sight aswell while going for the kick. Watch from 4:41, you can see Tavares drop and shift his hip towards that direction; it wasn't the push. Either way it was a beautiful KO no doubt!
He fights like somebody with years more experience than he has we've a genuine contender in this guy

Roy Nelson i agree i have just rewatched some of edmens fights and the different in skill tempo and especially (and thats the most importamt in the real deal debate imo) is the control he has over the octagon when you watch fights from conor or khabib it always with khabib most of all fighters seem like the other guys just dont have a chance they never even come close to really fighting its more like a big brother playing with the little one
Thats kinda the feel you get with edman with omalley who i really like its not like that his ko sometimes seem more luck than anything hes skill wise far away i dont think hes really close to the top 12 i wouldnt bet for him against any of these if i had to
What I’m most impressed with is his fight IQ. He knows when to throw strikes and which ones to throw. He’s gonna be great.

@Moonrock High meh. He's also lost some of his athleticism. I respect the man as a competitor, but in modern times his chin isn't the greatest and he has the key to the gates in the UFC. In my personal opinion. That's not to say he could prove me wrong, but there something about this young kid that everyone who fights his should take into consideration. Its a weird main event since its only 3 rounds but i got Edmen ko round 1 i just think Brunson is a gatekepper in that divison and he sucks fighting world class strikers.
Lyoto Machida is wordclass, so is Anderson Silva. I’d say he arguably beat Anderson, and he KO’d the dragon. I’m no Brunson fan, but I think he belongs in the cage with the elite.
