I'm not really interested in the islands. Mabe that'll change when I finally have finished decorating my Valley. But the one thing I really wish we could do is putting the stalls and the fruit trees and bushes into our inventory like any other furniture item. Not only would it removed items you don't want to have from your valley, it would also allow us to place them somewhere else, be it the Islands or the DLC areas. And it also would make it easier to move the trees and bushes somewhere else in the valley.
I completely agree! I hope DDV, in a future update, gives us the ability to move required buildings like scrooge and remy, stalls, and fruit trees/bushes!
I haven't attempted anything regarding multiplayer with floating island so I cannot say for sure. I would assume since the multiplayer portal is only available in the main valley, that the player would have to join there and then you would fast travel to the island and your visitor would automatically be transported. I cannot be 100% sure so you might have to test it out!

Can you be on an island and have somebody travel to your valley and then transport to the island where you're at
