Im pretty sure that first controller "mouse" is supposed to be used with the hand sitting on a flat surface linus really needs to read the manual if he is going to be reviewing stuff for the masses. If you do it wrong then of course you will think it sucks.
The best part of the NeGcon is that it was the defacto standard for racing games. So even if you never owned one, if you ever bought a PSX steering wheel or used the "Steering Wheel" switch on a controller adapter, it was likely using the NeGcon protocol. Namco/Taito also used that protocol to make a paddle control for old pong-style games on Namco Museum and even Taito's Puchi Carat.
I still have my 2 Negcon controllers from the PS1 days. There was a bit of a learning curve, but Linus is right, once you got used to it, it was good. Really, really good in fact. None of my friends had a chance of beating me in racing games, even when the Dual Analog/Dual Shock controllers were released. It was shockingly accurate in properly optimised games like Wipeout, Ridge Racer, Gran Turismo etc. And that dead zone could be customized, at least in some games.
As german you are a hero with 15sec delay. We are almost satisfied with 15min. You have to hope to teach your destination on the same day. We call it: DBakel.
I had the p5 glove when I was a kid, I actually had a great experience with it!!! was pretty cool at the time to be able to hold 3 fingers closed (shape your hand like a gun) then tilt my hand left or right to peek around corners and just "pull the trigger". Also there was a game called Black and White that worked very well with the glove, was designed for it as far as I know, completely gesture controlled god game, made sense since you controlled a glove on the screen. The glove worked a lot more consistent for me than it seems it has for you lol
When Linus was trying out the Racing controller and making a car sound, an actual car with loud exhaust syncs perfectly with the sound he made even with the shifting or turbo sound.

"8-year-olds, Dude."
@@qwertyferix "He's cracking."
Well thats just, like, your opinion, man
Please look into the Steel Battalion controller. The 2 games that supported it were amazing!
Now that's what I call, PLAYING WITH POWER!!!
I love these old peripherals videos. It’s a nice throwback to when gaming tech really was the wild west.
never getting on a train driven by Linus 🤣
The Key Config for the racing controller is incredibly impressive
one of my favorite video intros and sponsor spots so far
I had the NegCon back in the 90's. Absolutely LOVED it!
My favourite game was Rapid Racer, a boat racing game.
The controller had a bit of a learning curve, but once you figured it out, you were unstoppable.
I don't remember the cost.
@0:04
I'm the mother lovin jesús... now f'n roll 😂
Been absolutely LOVING the content in the last few months, videos are refreshing, creative, and very informative. This is exactly what I subscribed for like 10 years ago lol
9:40 nostalgia hits hard ngl
Hoooow?!?!? you commented this 2 minutes after release???
I love how happy Jordan is in these videos. He takes the video from a 10 to a solid 12.
19:32 this is not a game brother
No no this is real life😅
The end sponsor spot was great! Great transition!
I wonder if LTT has covered any Nintendo Labo things before... but time to watch and research later I guess lol

Pretty sure this is the only video they did
@Naith123 That's fantastic, thanks for sharing
That first ad was top notch.
I see Big Lebowski reference - I press like!
HAHAHA the rain part for Ridge was 11/10!
0:40 is it just me or does this seem like a anti-depression medication commercial from like 1980-2000
The train bit was amazing. Seems like a great party and drinking game!
Tell me is there a glove-controller?
Update : there is one 🎉
Update 2 : the glove-controller really sucks
It was funny how you dressed up and redid (a little be of it at least) the scene in The Big Lebowski where we meet Jesus Quintana plaued by John Turturro.
Linus... Blink twice if you need help💀
I remember that jank glove from junior high. Our school just got an East Lab program and threw money at a bunch of "cutting edge tech" like that glove. It sat on a shelf and never got used for more than a few minutes of students playing with it.
Im pretty sure that first controller "mouse" is supposed to be used with the hand sitting on a flat surface linus really needs to read the manual if he is going to be reviewing stuff for the masses. If you do it wrong then of course you will think it sucks.
why would the sensor be so tall if it was meant to be used on desk¿?
The bring my shuttle line was so cool. We'd have to wait so long to see Vader clearly angry ever again. Put it back!
"Do we have a props department!?"
Do you want one? I been looking at moving up north 👀
Linus, that mouse glove is a great excercise for badminton :P Keep that racquet high!
Jordan and Elijah are some of my favourite people at LMG, please more of them!!
Yea, It gets even weirder down the rabbit hole.
That is the most premium looking ad. Heck, ridge can use it for themselves.
I absolutely love the big Lebowski tribute. A+ team.
When Linus was trying out the Racing controller and making a car sound, an actual car with loud exhaust syncs perfectly with the sound he made even with the shifting or turbo sound.
Now I really wish LTT had a gaming channel so I could watch a playthrough of that train game
I loved this video. This gave more AVGN vibes than current AVGN. It felt like I was going through the learning processes with Linus.
This is the first time I actually checked if the head writer is listed in the description. I really like the intro and transitions and everything else in here. Well done, unknown LTT writer!
It's Jordan, the chap on screen
@@Metal_Maxine Thanks. I should have figured that out and guessed as much.
So, well done, Jordan, if you stumble across this!
the first MINUTE of this video is more chaotic than a YTP, i LOVE how crazy this channel goes
Having seen videos on how insane the training is for Japanese train operators are, I found it quite amusing seeing how the simulator is equally not messing around.
Completely here for that Big Lebowski reference in the intro. 10/10
That jittery mouse movement with the hand controller is the same experience I have had with any non-microsoft controller I've ever tried to use with Windows. Whether it was a name brand like Logitec or some cheap joystick. I eventually gave up ever trying to play games on a PC other than using a mouse and keyboard.
Just want to shout out Kendrick's editing, it was totally awesome!
6:18 "Is that how you open doors, by looking through the keyhole?"
He didnt think a single moment before saying that sentence
i can feel the rage and my arm was tired from watching the first controller
I recognize the NeGcon and the Train controller from Caddicarus' video! Its cool to see them come back
