Solo Necromancer - Fighting the entire Goblin courtyard - Honour Mode

- Why fight 1 goblin when you can fight them all? For fights this big we're still reliant on Cloud of Daggers. Hopefully that will change when we hit level 5!
We're level 4 now, slowly progressing towards five. I'd like to reach that before doing the more dangerous fights.

Really nasty eldritch blast. So frigging scary on lower levels with crits!
You could poison them first and there would be only a few of them to kill, but it wouldn't be such an epic fight. I would use shocking grasp instead of club with strength bonus, but on the other hand, you wouldn't throw him like that, which was fun :D.
Sometime you just got to go for what's more amusing :)
Can't believe I went out of town for a couple of weeks and we've lost the spore druid run and moved on to diet spore druid - really unlucky stuff, I was looking forward to seeing how that one progressed. Oh well, at least we're getting to see multiple strategies for these fights! How'd you decide which burrow hole to plop that first Cloud on, was there strategy to it or did you just kind of randomly pick one and hope for the best?
Hi Lily! Poor Miran, died too soon! Not even Myrkul :(. I picked that hole after last time when I did this on accident (warlock run). Most of the goblins turned up there so I figured it was the safer bet. It would probably had been a bit better to stay further away from the second unguarded hole. I'm reasoning that if I had done that more goblins would had picked the hole with Cloud of Daggers :)
Started my first honor mode playthrough, but with companions and as a draconic bloodline sorcerer (gold dragon). So far it's been easier than I expected apart from the fact that if I mess up in a fight I cannot just reload into my previous save, I need to win or die trying so I'm sweating a bit more but it's very fun. I will try that double wielding staff thing, I usually go Alert for extra momentum and can't be surprised which is also pretty broken too. But I'll try it.
Oh yeah that’s what makes it fun! Alert is a good feat but I don really find it mandatory. If really needed we can pop an elixir to win initiative. The returning pike sure is awesome! Good luck with the run!!
@@FriendlyLich Thanks. I'll tell you if it will stick around, otherwise I have started another honor mode playthrough with a dark urge mephistopheles tiefling draconic bloodline sorcerer (silver dragon), so I'm running one on fire and the other one I'll be cold as ice. ^^
started my 1st honour mode run recently and have already some tragedies to report: Arabella died from a snake bite (because I failed several dice rolls), the grieving husband in Waukeem's Rest burnt to death and the Zhentharim just freed from Gnoll danger turned hostile while I tried to pocket an alchemist's fire. gnoll warlord Flind never communicated with me.

8:13 _Fire Shield_ is a lv 4 spell for lv 7 wizards. your necromancer doesn't look like she is already lv7. how can you use this spell? and how did you get it?
The wizard is level 4 here but can cast Fire Shield once a day due to Infernal Robes

why is it called a necromancer? i mean where are the necro stuff going on?
Unfortunately Animate Dead is a level 5 spell. I'm only level 4.

@@embreis2257 I already answered this the first time you asked. But the item Infernal Robes (quest reward) allow you to cast it once a day
