    I love that this doesn't just apply to music, although that's what my team focuses on. But whatever you do in life, just do it to your full potential.

    I have to apologize to my family for my absents (locked in bedroom) all the time. When i'm away from the studio I feel like i'm cheating myself like i'm loosing out. I'm 32 and just started making beats seriously a year and a half ago. Since then I've invested thousands into my craft. Equipment, books, E-books, theory courses, UA-cam videos you name it. Not to mention I've been a musician my whole life. Started playing the drums when I was 5 and played in rock bands all through high school. I had such a hard time getting musicinas to be as serious as me and as dedicated but it never worked out. That's why being a beat maker made so much sense.I also picked up guitar and bass guitar through the years and a bit of piano. Started using FL6 got some monitors and an interface back in the day to record and produce my band and that's how I first got into the world of DAW. Started learning engineering but got into beats a year and a half a go..The rest is history. Sorry for the Bio haha

    Why must a hobby beging when you are in your teens or twenties? It can begin even at 60. I started learning music (guitar and singing) as a hobby without any music knowledge in 2016 at the age of 48. I have never looked back. It hsa become a burning passion and I even spend money to make progress. I am not planning to make a single dime on it, but I can assure you it is the best decision I ever made. Even when I become good I will avoid posting any covers or personal compsitions on the internet because nowadays people lose their jobs for crazy reasons. Just a response to someone's question, or the innocent theme of a song might be mis-interpreted by my employer and get me fired. That is the sad truth.

    I just started a study in programming and during all of this covid pandemic I found out about fl studio etc. and soon I started spending like multiple hours daily into this. Now I have a choice, to switch the study I am doing and follow a course in music production or keep programming and keep this as a hobby maybe. And I don't know what to do.

    I've been making beats for 12 years, and just now I invested in a personal trainer deep in the Drum and Bass game to show me how things actually work... Best decision I ever made!! UA-cam tutorials can only take you so far, too much conflicting information leaving people with more questions than answers, I almost gave up because of it. Now all of the information I've come across in the past actually makes sense and I'm glad I found those you tube tutorials but I didn't really understand them until it was all properly explained to me by someone who is actually in the game.
    Don't give up!! That's 12 years of making shitty sounding beats, now i'm finally having fun again just practicing for now.... :}
    P.s. don't be afraid to ask a big producer if they offer online skype classes. It beats impersonal youtube tutorials any day :)

    Great video. Maybe for the next one, could you explain the difference between PRO's and publishing and the purpose of publishing?? I'm rewatching your PRO video so I think I understand the difference and I kno we should try to find the answer ourself sometimes, but I value your knowledge a lot so I feel you'd give a definitive answer instead of me having to guess and imply

    Curtiss. I've been watching for a minute now. Thanks for all the help. It's really been helping me as I launch my website. PerfectPitch01 Man I'd just make more music! The more you make the more you grow as an artist, and as a person! The more songs you make the more confident you are and soon you won't second guess yourself at all you'll have a routine. And then all you can do is work hard and keep a good mind set. So how do you quit second guessing my friend? Make so much music you don't have time too :)

    So is it okay if you start making music as a hobby and then it becomes a passion? I'm interested to know because I wanted to start making music this year, but I haven't started because I've been busy with college and my UA-cam channel, so if I begin to make music as a hobby is that a good place to start.

    • @thewowchannel3095
      @thewowchannel3095 7 років тому

      littleleafers of course! Having a passion doesn't necessarily mean you have to invest in it right away. Start slowly and see where it takes you! Good luck!

    What about over 5000 songs written , I think of shit everywhere without trying and write it down, I have to it’s just in my mind , it’s weird people reading my songs and listening say it’s hard to do what I do . I think like it’s easy . I’m like you can’t do that? Bc it’s so easy for me yk

  • @univuniveral9713

    Dude you are a geek and that will get you places. Nothing can stand in the way of a curious mind, someone who knows how to learn and grow. But if you previously accumulated base-ball skills, you should keep playing it at least once every two weeks. SPort iis good, especially base-ball that you already know.
