By far the best update Horizon has done. Idk if its cuz the old director left but if the updates continue down this path (and the next update looks insane with the oval track being added to the stadium) then this will definitely be great again

The anti-lag feature is a great start and the fact that we’re getting new cars in the next update is also promising. More customization is welcomed too.

Just a quick correction, the launch control was already in the game, but with a different form of doing it, instead of the handbrake you needed to use the brake pedal

Epic update. Next we need semi-auto shifting and an ‘aux’ mode on the in car radio for your own playlists

Not quite what im meaning haha but yeah i get you! I struggle to shift fast enough in supercars 😂 so i play in auto - but its not quite optimised hahah, itd be nice to have the option to shift up or down but let the car run auto as the default so crappy racers like me dont have to panic 🤣🤣
Sunroof = opaque window (usually metal painted same color as the car) which can be opened or even detached to let the sun shine in the car.
Moonroof = glass window (usually tinted) which does not need to be opened to let the sun shine in the car. These also almost always come with a sunshade because glass. 😀
Still a Sunroof either way in the U.K & Europe..
The USA is the only place that seems to have two seperate names for the same thing

The game would be much more alive if we got updates like these more frequently. Cars that are actually new to the game and not recycled,new customization andnnew features. Ik it's hard to have updates like this every month but I hope they can give us something like this at least once every 2/3 months.

I feel like cars do now accelerate just a little bit faster with anti-lag but it's not very noticeable at all
That's because anti-lag reduces turbo lag
Same effect as going from 60fps to 100fps
@@Majaweed17 Yes, I think it's more noticeable on slower cars that have long gears or a lot of turbo lag

They added bigger tires to the F-450 yeah this is goooood and im still waiting for the caddys to come out really wish they added the escalade tho
In horizon 5 the antilag makes it so you have less turbo lag and so the turbo keeps going in between gear changes

@@thesprawl2361 I did watch the video, and I made the comment anyway because it was a dumb thing to say. Theo knows what anti lag does, whether he could tell if it was doing anything in game or not is irrelevant, the dude knows cars enough to know what anti lag does. FH5 has basically no turbo lag in the first place so it makes perfect sense that it makes no noticeable difference. But that doesnt change the fact that this comment was basically the same as saying "pushing the accelerator accelerates the car".

this isnt related to the update, but you calling the 2023 Z the 400z- i couldnt agree more. it just feels proper to call that car the 400z. i mean, the predecessor's numbers mean the displacement (eg. 350z = 3.5L) but calling it a 400z even though it doesnt have 4.0 L displacment, just gives off a different, cool vibe to it.
Put a barra in it, then it fits the naming convention

well the anti lag does change something with performance if you look at the little power graph while switch between the regular race turbo and the ones with anti lag the boost comes on earlier.
It seems like this would fix the issue with using a Subaru in rwd for drifting. The boost comes on so late that this could make it even better for drifting ima have to try it out.
Anti lag actually helps, I have cut down on track time that I had before

I feel the forza devs need to add something like drift tires with different tire grip levels like the normal tire compounds but as a drift version for all the cars it would be nice for lower power drift builds

I’m a PlayStation dude so I’ve never played Forizon. Pretty jealous of the variety. Especially the newer cars
It's a great series. Especially horizon. It got me into car games, and I had no interest in them before I played it. Now I have a fanatec wheel and a gaming pc with assetto corsa and I'm genuinely thinking of getting a drift car in real life.
I can't wait for LC, as soon as i saw it is coming to the game i was so excited. Honestly i would like Lexus IS 500 F sport i like that car soooo much.

Good job forza nice👌 hope they later add tuning sliders for better anti lag control but this is a good start. Would be nice to have sliders for boost control as well

A Sunroof is a single piece of glass that is electronically movable, usually smaller in size.
A moonroof is a Large pane of glass that spans the whole roof of the car that does not move, like what you’d find on a Tesla.

Launch control has been there from the start… maybe they only just announced it for the first time but I’m 100% sure the game had launch control from the launch of the game

Well actually the anti lag wouldn't add more power as its job is to keep the turbo spinning by over fuelling a car that's off the throttle causing the pop sounds, happy we finally have anti lag tho

Me too. I appreciate that you have to add it because otherwise every single car in the game would have it and everyone would be abusing it like they have been in the first few hours. And I know I'd get sick of it very quickly.

launch control has been in the game, originally to do it; you had to shift to reverse then back to 1st and hold brake ang gas.
You can turn on the Telemetry and see if boost pressure goes down when you're off throttle.
Here theo the anti lag does change the performance a wee bit, it makes ur big ole spooly boys come on earlier.
Yep now it makes more sense to buy the game to own instead of GamePass, I also have 300 Million and don't ever buy overpriced Hypercars or Supercars unless I truly like them like the McLaren F1 from auctions, so really owning this game would be a breeze with the rally adventure as well, just amazing Forza!!!

The anti-lag actually does improve performance, albeit to varying degrees on some cars. If you look at the boost stat in telemetry, with anti lag on the boost drops WAY slower than without anti lag. This is most evident in cars like the Venom GT, which takes forever to change gears thus losing all of it's boost between shifts. With anti lag on there's noticeably less turbo lag. Again, it's more obvious on some cars than others, and it doesn't make as big of a difference as I was expecting, but it does help on more technical courses. :)
The anti-lag actually lowers drag times, it actually does make the turbos kick in earlier
That's not what the anti lag does. Anti lag is for when you're off throttle, combustion happens at the exhaust housing of the turbo to keep the turbine spinning to keep boost up so full spool isn't so "laggy" hence the name.
You're referring to launch control, which is sort of the same thing but not. LC creates combustion at the exhaust housing once again, but while the car is stationary. Builds boost at a standstill to achieve next to no full spool time so full power can be achieved right out the gate vs lagging until full spool during load while driving.
Now add lift kits for trucks and SUV's + the ability to slam my truck 😁😁
And ya know what, while we're at it, add nitrous but have the ability to restrict it for select events as well. I feel like the nitrous would realistically squirt out the hood lol
Hopefully we get this soon, full suspension tuning on all cars, they have to do something they can’t do the same thing forever lol
Not sure what lift kits are or if they're pneumatic or hydraulic, but what Theo didn't say is that in this update they also added the ability to raise certain offroad and truck vehicles wheels, can't remember what the term is for it, so they have higher ground clearance. That's in the customisation options for about twenty five to thirty of the vehicles.
It's always will be wild to me that FH5 is updating they're customization while NFS continue pumping games with customization from the previous games

Huh?! Launch controll was already in forza from the start, right? Just hold the brake and gas and it revved up a bit (without the LC indicator).

Anti lag doesn’t change performance it just reduces turbo lag…. Which is what its doing. You can see the difference in the dyne sheet when picking the turbo.
