Wow. Marshal, such a comprehensive setup, I'm blown away! Apart from BlueARP DM, the fact that you control everything remotely from another room (more comfortably from your studio place) is super cool, thanks for sharing the details.
Thanks graywolf! Is super flexible, am digging in now that the majority of the setup is complete 👌
Keepin the dream alive, good to see these synths still doing what they were meant to do.
Hey Avril! 👋 how you been! The dream is indeed still alive, progress is picking up on this for sure 😁
@@MarshalArnold I been good. 90's trance still one of my true loves. Got my virus c sort of repaired..back looking at jp8000 prices after watching this
I love trance too 😁 it's my favorite for sure. JP-8000 the best supersaw IMO. Hope you snag one!
Not only is this a great setup for live gigs, but also for composing and recording live songs or sets. So yeah, keep it up buddy!
Exactly, yeah I'm able to mostly maintain my normal production work flow this was, tracks should sound pretty polished this way with Ableton being a mixer for me and can use good eq/reverb/delay/compression ect. Super flexible this way so it's taken forever to work out, but seems solid so excited to move forward.
I like the way you've integrated Ableton into your live rig. Looking forward to hearing the set!
Thanks Cryss! More to come soon.
Nice setup! I plan to use my new Virus TI2, Oberheim X8, Elektron Rytm MK2 and Elektron Octatrack in studio and sequence also from Squarp Hapax. For live setup a combo of small modular case and Elektron Rytm and Access Virus TI2 keyboard. All clocked and MIDI sync together. For mixer, either 1010 Music Bluebox or Teenage Engineering TX-6 mixer recorder.
That is one amazing setup love it. Look forward to more updates.
Thanks Inverted- Popes!
Ya, get a Korg sq-64, Ohh wait! You already did! I blame YT for the long upload time :P. Of course you could grab a laptop and a wood stool (and laptop stand ) keep the thing hardwired. Otherwise I dig the thought and work you pulled off! Impressive for sure.. 😊
Eh for mixing and patern creation can do all that remote, just need to be in there to work on patches and all that. Then once this is a good 30 to 45 minute set, I'll practice in there. IDK if I'll use the sq64 in here or not. Right now have a beatstep connected to the extra input on BlueARP as is, but perhaps a MIDI splitter would allow both, gonna take some thought.
Love this set up except computer 😂😂😂 sorry joke...but foot pedal eh? Next level that mate! Mmm teach me oh Jedi😉💖🌟⚡
🤣 well, I did disguise 🥸 the computer as a synth in that Open Labs Miko chassis lol. Yeah that Morningstar USB pedal is dope, totally customizable. I already programed mine to do what I need for live while my hands are tied up on the keys. So focusing now of sound design and composition of the tracks. Is gonna be pretty sweet I think 😅
@@MarshalArnold BRING ON THE LIVE TRANCE SET!!! Im ready to dance! Oh btw theres an invitation to my birthday party on my channel 😁 trance and othere genres included!😜
