I've been struggling with 90f temps in Flower for ages.. so I bought another ac infinity 6" inline fan.. drill a hole to outside, connected ducting directly into the tent blowing onto a oscillating fan, I can now have it at 76f all year round the tent does bulge but goes off at 76f and retracts by out take fan, it works like a dream. And when drying I can swap it over. Best thing I've done 👍

Instead of 4 plants in a 4x4 I opted for 2 -2x4 new tents with Kind LEDs with UV , just switched to Flower The girls Vedged beautifully , double topped and today is second day did a trim , topped dressed , I appreciate the posts brother they have helped a lot through the years ,

Outdoors in Sept-Oct when plants are flowering the sun is not directly overhead, it is lower on the horizon hitting the sides of the plants. 20yrs ago some growers used vertical HPS bulbs between the tops of large plants so the light would hit the sides of the colas as the sun does in nature
I’ve noticed in my set up at least, root zone temps around 80 is a must during these colder northern months I was struggling to get the air temp over 70. I added the heat mats and all slowed growth stopped and was right back on track even with 68 degree air temp
I just add a heater. Been adding them since the LEDs. Wasn’t a thing with HOS, but you better get the overall temp up for maximum photosynthesis activity if you’re using LEDs. Can’t believe it took AC so long to start selling heaters.
@ I have a mini space heater just not sure how I feel about Heater inside the tent. And the lung room the tent is in is quite large so heating that isn’t a good option
@ the oil based radiator style ones are the ones I use inside the tents and rooms. I also have a convection/infrared style heater that heats a lung room. So I do both. Need to in LED setups especially in places like here in Michigan where it gets cold.
There’s a bunch of tricks for all kinds of stuff and for different cultivars lighting hours is a big one and a big reason most haze and equitorials don’t turn out as good as they should in this case if your running some Burmese or haze or similar the last month or 2 flip it to a 10/14 light schedule for a better finish . I like using deep red lighting mixed with lights. Different types can also give you different results hps cmh etc.
I bought two sets of these. The 11” and 16”. In 3x3 and 2x3 tents. They make my lower larfs look nice and snowy. And pointing them at the right angle gets light penetration deep into the inner canopy.

It was definitely a very stable, robust pheno I had, not finicky at all? What was/is the actual issue, Heather ?

My two cents: I'd rather fill a tent wall to wall and have a thin canopy than leave space between the plants and the tent wall and have a thicker canopy.
Just run more power lights and u wont need none of this side lightning crap etc ,ive used 800 watts led in a 8x4 did 2 grows got bit around 2lb and now i ve stepped upto 1450 watts in same size tent and my yield has near doubled in my 1st grow from adding an extra 650 watt light💪 more light = more quality bud grant u have environment locked down,ive learnt a few tricks from u even using synthetics also switched to this nutrient that coats the buds in frost gives them the best smell n taste adding new light and using this new product has basically made growing to easy for me,got some old skool gg4 from gg genetics next run, definitely be running trellis trying combat streach with gg4
I think your better off saving to upgrade your main light instead of adding supplemental lighting. The all in one tent kit lights are getting better but there's a good reason why a high quality light by itself costs more than an all in one kit. Light penetration further down into the canopy increases yield and quality. Side lighting might slightly increase yield but not quality.
Ive seen two lights similar like 2 marshydro ts1000 side lights on both sides of the plants. This was 2 plants and was awesome yield. Using 2 spiderfarmer sf2000 evo in a 4x4 sideways in the tent with a little distance. I think that could be awesome.
I've only grown outside, but I'm building a camper that will be 100%solar powered I'm going to use it for a year round grow with its own central heat and air ❤❤❤❤

Sour d is fire,well I grew sour d X chocolate d and it's fire and a nice yielder pulled 2lb out a 4x4 4 sour DX chocolate d no CO2 well hom made CO2 jugs only threw flowering using 720 watts led actually was a 8x4 with 1450 watts but half was the diesels
I wish I could find smaller HID lights in the correct spectrums for under/side lighting. The best I can find is a 70w full spectrum metal halide flood lights made for reptiles.l, but the fixture only works top down.
Anything above 73f in the last 4 weeks of flower will burn your terpenes off. Temperature is the biggest driver for cannabinoid retention or loss. The side light doesn't give you a big increase in yield. The way to look at it is grade a, b, and c buds. Grade "a" being your tops, "b" being your dense buds just under the tops, and "c" being your lowest less dense small buds. Side lighting can bring many of those "c" buds up to "b" buds in terms of density and cannabinoid content. If you're in a 4'x2' or 3x3, side lighting is goofy and will cost more than gain. You may get 5-10% more yield and for a big operation, that's huge. For a home grower, that's another $50 on your energy cost for 2 months worth of flowering for an 11 gram return. It's goofy. In a 4x4, 5x5, 8x4 etc. it makes complete sense to have side lighting if your temperatures allow.
I'm big on popular cultivars like my favorite Pineapple Express,but I noticed that not all are created equal. I know that all types of growing can somewhat change the characteristics of the strain , my question is since I like my Pineapple to lean more on the sativa side do you know what's the best grow method to produce the best and also who might have the best genetics for this? NGL, Ive considered that, it's the same light, just being reflected. IF it was totally bunk, then why would foil or reflective material be used on the inside of tents/grow rooms... Think it's worth experimenting with..gonna try a little myself

Most mirrors are simply a piece of shiny metal covered with a layer of glass. That means before being reflected those photons are passing through a layer of glass, hitting the shiny metal, then going back out through the glass again. These passes through the glass dramatically reduce the energy and power of the photons making a mirror a very bad choice for a reflective material. Why do you think reflectors are just polished metal and why have you never seen a grower with any experience using mirrors anywhere in their grow? You are thinking correctly that any light hitting the floor is simply a waste of energy and capturing or reflecting it would be beneficial...however mirrors are NOT the way to do it.

Bro I’m just trying to figure out how to get through flower without all my leaves dying and falling off. 5 runs in and I still cannot get flower right. Seedling stage is a breeze. Veg is stupid simple. Flower, the plant basically explodes. I’ll get massive beautiful bushy healthy thriving plants for 2 solid months. Flip into flower and it’s like the whole thing just goes to shit instantly. Sadly my best runs were my first 2. And the very first one was actually pretty bad. Second one was gave me stellar results (800 G’s across 4 plants) but all my leaves still died. I just wanna make it to the end looking pretty still.
You have to likely do things a bit differently. I recommend larger pots, organic soil as well. Build a Soil has a great water only with a top dress during flower in BAS 3.0. When the plant is just slightly bigger than the outside of the pot flip to flower, people grow these plants huge. Huge plants in flower need all kinds of nutrients and eventually the plant stops taking up nutrients in flower too so this can also be a reason why yours fade so strongly. My first run I did synthetic in 7 gallons with happy frog and I was always behind on nutrients in flower. Big beautiful buds though and to be fair we are growing flowers not leaves. A lot of it has to do with humidity and light stress in flower too. Scene touched on this a few videos ago but having humidity in the 40s and even low 50s dries your flower out a ton while it’s alive and just isn’t optimal for growth, but powdery mildew is always a concern and why people usually do that. With the amped up lights because you’re in flower it also is so hard on these girls, temps are often higher. So my advice is more soil, smaller plants and grown in soil not because it grows the largest yields with the most vigorous plants but it grows the “healthiest” and therefore tastiest yields. If you have enough organic nutrients in your soil the idea is the plant doesn’t get large enough to access all of them just maybe half or so that way she’s never deficient and can have full expressions
Sup bro from Togiak a village in alaska love your organic grows bro I grow organically here as well and love ur Vids bro was wanting to switch my grow gear and lights to AC Infinity products I have a 5X5 gorilla tent with mars-hydro with the AC Infinity fan and filter and wanting to get a bigger tent either the 4x8 or the 5×9 and I use the natural river water here for my waterings as well as liquid kelp aloe powder and coconut powder from build a soil and also water with silica alone with the river water also from build a soil but also use down to earth amendments and use boogie brew tea for my compost tea and was wanting to try the gia green amendments cause it would definitely be alot easier so I don't need to mix the amendments with down to earth but I still get fire frosty buds still compost old soil and dead fish scraps from.my salmon subsistence harvest and egg shells and fruit scraps ect and use that in my soil as well and oh my it's works wonderfully but definitely a thank u for all the advice and tricks you talk about for growing fire buds to help beginners or people who been thru alot of crops that want to change or make growing organically alot more simple 💯
Anyoje thought anout the leds put around top of room has different colors an light settings like pulse or flash or even slow pulse n they do do red blue an even purple mixed between red n blue what bout putting small 5 ft strip or even all way tound top of ya tent or room an use the slow flash slow pulse mode where said purple light comes on an dims outs ober an over an only run it during ya light cycle maybe could even use smaller 5 4ft strips for under canopy or side lighting seen sum saying can cut em down to any length qn seen em in preset lenghts too nit sure smallest but sire could find e 4 even 5ft ones or summin
I can’t imagine how unhealthy the smoke ends up tasting when you’re at low-mid 70s. There isn’t enough PPFD being utilized regardless of what you’re pushing at those cool temps to have that plant effectively create oil and terps. This will severely limit most people’s grows. These temps/RH that is. Maybe coming down the home stretch in the low 70s if not the 60s but not the first 5 weeks or so of a 9-10 week grow. That flower will be off.
Another trick is to just take the Top Flowers at Harvest and leave the lower growth for an additional week so they can absorb more light prior to chopping the rest of the plants. 🪴 👌

I use 4x10w growlamps from aliexpress as sidelighting. Cost about 30$. Doest make a lot of heat. They fit good in my 3x3 tent

You do know bro these plants come from hot humid countries they can handle the heat, it's all about air flow and removing old air 😎
Totally depends on genetics. Some come from hot and humid climates while others evolve in dry and cold climates.

My first run I did synthetic in 7 gallons with happy frog and I was always behind on nutrients in flower. Big beautiful buds though and to be fair we are growing flowers not leaves. A lot of it has to do with humidity and light stress in flower too. Scene touched on this a few videos ago but having humidity in the 40s and even low 50s dries your flower out a ton while it’s alive and just isn’t optimal for growth, but powdery mildew is always a concern and why people usually do that. With the amped up lights because you’re in flower it also is so hard on these girls, temps are often higher. So my advice is more soil, smaller plants and grown in soil not because it grows the largest yields with the most vigorous plants but it grows the “healthiest” and therefore tastiest yields. If you have enough organic nutrients in your soil the idea is the plant doesn’t get large enough to access all of them just maybe half or so that way she’s never deficient and can have full expressions

Sup bro from Togiak a village in alaska love your organic grows bro I grow organically here as well and love ur Vids bro was wanting to switch my grow gear and lights to AC Infinity products I have a 5X5 gorilla tent with mars-hydro with the AC Infinity fan and filter and wanting to get a bigger tent either the 4x8 or the 5×9 and I use the natural river water here for my waterings as well as liquid kelp aloe powder and coconut powder from build a soil and also water with silica alone with the river water also from build a soil but also use down to earth amendments and use boogie brew tea for my compost tea and was wanting to try the gia green amendments cause it would definitely be alot easier so I don't need to mix the amendments with down to earth but I still get fire frosty buds still compost old soil and dead fish scraps from.my salmon subsistence harvest and egg shells and fruit scraps ect and use that in my soil as well and oh my it's works wonderfully but definitely a thank u for all the advice and tricks you talk about for growing fire buds to help beginners or people who been thru alot of crops that want to change or make growing organically alot more simple 💯

Anyoje thought anout the leds put around top of room has different colors an light settings like pulse or flash or even slow pulse n they do do red blue an even purple mixed between red n blue what bout putting small 5 ft strip or even all way tound top of ya tent or room an use the slow flash slow pulse mode where said purple light comes on an dims outs ober an over an only run it during ya light cycle maybe could even use smaller 5 4ft strips for under canopy or side lighting seen sum saying can cut em down to any length qn seen em in preset lenghts too nit sure smallest but sire could find e 4 even 5ft ones or summin

I can’t imagine how unhealthy the smoke ends up tasting when you’re at low-mid 70s. There isn’t enough PPFD being utilized regardless of what you’re pushing at those cool temps to have that plant effectively create oil and terps. This will severely limit most people’s grows. These temps/RH that is. Maybe coming down the home stretch in the low 70s if not the 60s but not the first 5 weeks or so of a 9-10 week grow. That flower will be off.

Another trick is to just take the Top Flowers at Harvest and leave the lower growth for an additional week so they can absorb more light prior to chopping the rest of the plants. 🪴 👌
