    It would be interesting if you could add a backstory to these rugs and how they came to be so dirty. Some of them, like this one, with the pattern totally obscured, is hard to understand how this could happen. Love watching them be cleaned!

      We receive 100 carpets a day from customers for washing, and one or two of them are dirty like this.
      Most of the strangely dirty carpets have been used by the owners in work and public places.

      @@change-cleaning-service-center bullshit, who lives in a house this dirty, and why are ALL your carpets so thick with brown mud? and, when will you ever completely clean a rug? ive never seen a clean one leave that floor, you always rinse, but defo is more dirt in those rugs.. i wouldnt trust you with anything of mine, i like my rugs CLEAN..

      @@gerathys That was my thinking too. Having dealt with floods my entire life (hurricane country), I felt sure this was someone trying desperately to save their beautiful, expensive rug. Whatever the reason, these guys did an amazing job of returning it to its former glory.

    Here I am at 10 PM watching a carpet being cleaned. This says a lot about the fascination this video holds... but it probably says a whole lot more about the lack of watchable content on network television. By the way, you did an amazing job of resurrecting this piece of art.

      In Israel, Acre in, in1985 I was invited to a Palestinian home and watched as a grandfather worked on a carpet of similar quality but smaller. The carpet hung on the wall and different coloured woollen strands intertwinned into the mesh resulting in an article of exquisite beauty!!

    For one, I love your shop. I'm not even sure why. I think it's because one can tell that you guys are SERIOUS about your job. A slanted floor so the rug doesn't sit in it's own grossness, every brush. machine, soap, and squeegee, known to man, and a DAMN FINE result at the end. Bravo to you and the whole crew!
    EDIT: I hope you guys are paid handsomely for turning something like looked like the carpet from a dog kennel into a $100,000 piece of artististry and masterful craftsmanship.

    This rug is so beautiful. The patterns and craftsmanship behind it shows the amount of work and art goes behind these rugs. I am no art snob, but I can appreciate something that has a lot of work put into it.
    I find it hard to believe that someone would neglect such a beautiful piece of art and leave it in such a state. Thanks for restoring it.

      I'm sure the rug was a casualty of a catastrophic event (flood or fire/ash and water from fire response). I can understand how the home owner might have been emotionally attached to such a beautiful rug and heartbroken thinking it might not be able to be saved. Glad it was! Good work!

    I can’t overcome the amount of original quality of a rug that can be abused by its owner then abused in cleaning and come out as new. Amazing craftsmen (likely craftswomen) that made it and likely a fact well-known by these amazing gentleman.

    I’m taking a break from remodeling my bathroom in Los Angeles and this video somehow comes on my feed and I was totally pulled in.       The fact the rig is wet at the start abd the dirt comes out so easily just with water from the watering can suggest this is a total set up, the rug was dirtied just for the video, this is not years of ingrained dirt.

    This reminds me of a story in England,when some thieves turned up at a house with a removal van and virtually emptied the whole house. A neighbour came out just as they were carrying out a rolled up carpet. She asked what they were doing , they explained they were taking it for a deep clean. She asked if they could do hers as well and they gladly took hers 😊

      ​@@change-cleaning-service-centerWow! A garden is very odd, for this beauty 😍!!! We picked a nice brick for our immediate outdoor areas. We remove our shoes upon entering the home. Our home and immediate outdoor area is kept clean for just stepping out and enjoying. But our property is very rural, untamed and not a paradise yet. We do have mats and boot scrapers at our entrances, for such things. 😂 I can't imagine that this beauty was thrown outside for this...😢 I'm glad that you got it cleaned up!!! I hope it goes to a better home now.

    Do you have a video where you explain your process… how you determine the best method of cleaning and/or what cleaners you should use based on soil level and rug type etc.? If not, that is something I would love to see

    I've worked with rugs and carpets.
    Nothing gets that dirty. I've seen rugs in landfills cleaner than that.
    That was a perfectly good rug that's been soiled too look dirty, the dirt is too evenly distributed there would be foot wear.
    Your technique sure does clean well, even though it was a sells pitch.

    Yes, the back history of this carpet/rug would be interesting. And what material is it made of? Certainly more than cotton, to withstand the years of abuse and extreme cleaning done to it. Amazing.

      I wonder the same. Looks like it was buried in dirt. Maybe was stored outside or damaged from flood and mud, can’t imagine living with something so filthy!

    I'm thoroughly impressed by your diligence. I also dread to think about how high your water bill must be. I feel like it would help a lot to have a raised perforated floor above a slanted one, so you don't have to flip it as often or spray as much dirt away. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    It would be interesting to have a carpet weighed before cleaning, and after cleaning and drying, giving you an idea of how much dirt there actually is.

    Backstory: These two guys, dressed exactly as they are, bought this rug at an auction house for $100,000. On the way home, they dropped it in a mud puddle. Good thing they owned a carpet cleaning business! The end. ☺️

      This is nothing more than a advertising video to show their ability to clean the most impossibly solid rugs, to drum up business, they just soaked it in a mud solution, you could see how it would be good for business.
      Soil from years of ground in dirt would not be as uniform as this rug, but it is a good show.

      @@tomharrison1849That’s because they’re all local to the area, lots of soil and heavy rainfalls. Many carpets are used at entry ways to cover the rough ground. You can see it in some of their videos where they’ve filmed on location.

    I wonder if it's too hard to find dirty carpets in their area because they have to soil their carpets to clean them again to make the video, as advice next time soil it a little less and on different patterns and spots, that's how normal soiled carpets look like.

    No way that rug was THAT full of dirt. They took the rug outside and soaked it in mud just to make the video. Other restoration type channels do this as well. Artificially add damage to an item then do the restore. Sad.

    Amazing how a thorough cleaning can totally transform what one might consider a carpet ready for the trash into having a new lease on life as art! I know nothing about carpet cleaning save that when a friend passed, our local cleaning place could not clean the lady's large and very expensive carpets because of pet functions on them, a pity.
