Today, the owner of the carpet had a carpet that I went to see. It was so dirty I thought it would never end. At first it was not clear that the color was black and it was very tiring and time consuming because the carpet was dirty. Finally, the carpet was cleaned.

It would be interesting if you could add a backstory to these rugs and how they came to be so dirty. Some of them, like this one, with the pattern totally obscured, is hard to understand how this could happen. Love watching them be cleaned!

Most of the strangely dirty carpets have been used by the owners in work and public places.
@@change-cleaning-service-center bullshit, who lives in a house this dirty, and why are ALL your carpets so thick with brown mud? and, when will you ever completely clean a rug? ive never seen a clean one leave that floor, you always rinse, but defo is more dirt in those rugs.. i wouldnt trust you with anything of mine, i like my rugs CLEAN..
My only thought was that the home was inundated by a flooded river or some such.
@@gerathys That was my thinking too. Having dealt with floods my entire life (hurricane country), I felt sure this was someone trying desperately to save their beautiful, expensive rug. Whatever the reason, these guys did an amazing job of returning it to its former glory.

Considering how extremely long it takes to make one of these handcrafted mats, giving them a new life is completely worth it and you guys are doing an amazing job!

In Israel, Acre in, in1985 I was invited to a Palestinian home and watched as a grandfather worked on a carpet of similar quality but smaller. The carpet hung on the wall and different coloured woollen strands intertwinned into the mesh resulting in an article of exquisite beauty!!

For one, I love your shop. I'm not even sure why. I think it's because one can tell that you guys are SERIOUS about your job. A slanted floor so the rug doesn't sit in it's own grossness, every brush. machine, soap, and squeegee, known to man, and a DAMN FINE result at the end. Bravo to you and the whole crew!
EDIT: I hope you guys are paid handsomely for turning something like looked like the carpet from a dog kennel into a $100,000 piece of artististry and masterful craftsmanship.

This rug is so beautiful. The patterns and craftsmanship behind it shows the amount of work and art goes behind these rugs. I am no art snob, but I can appreciate something that has a lot of work put into it.
I find it hard to believe that someone would neglect such a beautiful piece of art and leave it in such a state. Thanks for restoring it.

I think a lot of these rugs have been in flood areas.
Suppose your channel's business revolves around showing people cleaning carpets. Dontcha think it would just be easier to get a random rug and bury it in mud for a week or so? Or do you think they really go out and "meet clients" or whatever story it is this time?
I can’t overcome the amount of original quality of a rug that can be abused by its owner then abused in cleaning and come out as new. Amazing craftsmen (likely craftswomen) that made it and likely a fact well-known by these amazing gentleman.

The red dirt never ends
This rug is much too beautiful to be on any floor. It should be hung on a wall where everyone can admire it. You did a fantastic job. It is so therapeutic watching the dirt, soil and muck being washed away - love the outcome of your work.

I'm sure the rug was a casualty of a catastrophic event (flood or fire/ash and water from fire response). I can understand how the home owner might have been emotionally attached to such a beautiful rug and heartbroken thinking it might not be able to be saved. Glad it was! Good work!

The fact the rig is wet at the start abd the dirt comes out so easily just with water from the watering can suggest this is a total set up, the rug was dirtied just for the video, this is not years of ingrained dirt.

I wonder the same. Looks like it was buried in dirt. Maybe was stored outside or damaged from flood and mud, can’t imagine living with something so filthy!
My father brought back several beautiful rugs from the Middle East when he was in the military.
He gave them to his parents and it was so funny how they valued it and wanted to keep them pristine and clean (no shoes to be worn on them, no excuses, don’t eat or drink anywhere near them, etc. This was in their house with the dinning room and only room with a tv… what was an infant through teenager to do?)
Anyways, when grandma passed away my father rolled up the two rugs and we carried them outside where we pressure washed them like this in the driveway 🤣.

This reminds me of a story in England,when some thieves turned up at a house with a removal van and virtually emptied the whole house. A neighbour came out just as they were carrying out a rolled up carpet. She asked what they were doing , they explained they were taking it for a deep clean. She asked if they could do hers as well and they gladly took hers 😊

I could see then how they get so dirty. I guess I didn't think about which country you live in and the different lifestyles. I love so many of the rugs they are gorgeous, don't see many like that where I live.

Nothing gets that dirty. I've seen rugs in landfills cleaner than that.
That was a perfectly good rug that's been soiled too look dirty, the dirt is too evenly distributed there would be foot wear.
Your technique sure does clean well, even though it was a sells pitch.

Believe it or not, these expensive rugs, sometimes over $1000, actually stand against time. They can take a beating, for sure!
If they are made of wool they can withstand a lot. They are also the easiest fiber to clean.

Our home and immediate outdoor area is kept clean for just stepping out and enjoying. But our property is very rural, untamed and not a paradise yet. For those wondering, the trick here is that they start with a clean (albeit dirt cheap) rug. They film the last scene first, then the middle scenes, and then the beginning scenes. By the end of filming the rug has been throughly destroyed.
