I got a home check one and ijt helped me to lower my blood pressure, good exercises and relax each hour for a few minutes, and ignore people around me and just relax. Culmination was that now i am retired I have excellent blood pressure as I was aware it was in the danger zone due to stress
Hi! Thanks Blob and Blad. Sorry, couldn't resist. I've wondered for years how those things work. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your sense of humour.
Hi Bob and Brad, or is it Brad and Bob!! Anyway, I enjoy your videos tremendously. I like when you throw in other topics. You two do a great job. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos out of your busy schedules. Keep up the good work. God Bless you both.
I love your videos. I am 26 and they are helping me get through my hip surgery. I would love you to do a video on bloopers and outakes. I am guessing their are a few.
What is the proper arm positioning for measuring BP? I get 2 different measurements very consistently, depending on my arm position. Whilst sitting up straight, it is generally around the 120/80 if I rest my arm on the side of the couch, but if I drop my arm in a relaxed position parallel to my torso, it will rise 10 points or more on each end.
It's been a year, but this could be helpful for others. Your arm should be at heart level. When you drop your arm, gravity will cause some blood to pool in your arm which will increase your blood pressure ~6-8 points.
Yes compared to all the other videos the two of you make sense. And I can stand to watch and listen to you.. keep up the good work From the hard to learn woman in Washington Thx again
why do i always get high bp and above 100 diastolic to every time i check someone's bp. did i do it the wrong way? i did follow all the steps and the bp cuff isn't too big or too small
Great demo, does having a conversation with the client or the client making any movements during blood pressure measurement affect the blood pressure reading in any way?
Yes. I learned from a doctor that the person needs to be sitting with their back AND feet supported, (between 5 & 10 minutes) & no talking or movement during the test. He said that it's rarely done correctly, causing more trouble than necessary. That's also the way I was taught decades ago when I was a nurses aide in a nursing home.
Hey i have a question everytime i check my blood pressure talk number always low like 121/91 n sometimes ❤ rate be like 118 but i take blood pressure pill every day n still be high off n on please help me tell me why its dose that😩
Can it be dangerous to pump all the way to 200? I watched another video and it said to gradually pump until you STOP hearing the heartbeat to get the systolic pressure. Then pump about 30 over their systolic and wait until it goes away. I have a coworker who made a ladies hand numb from pumping too high and she got in trouble
I keep doing it wrong lol. I'm getting fluctuations. Also my pulse is higher when doing it. It showed 126/74 and 88 pulse then I take it off and my pulse is 70. Shows that the bp prob was off too
Thank you so much Bob and Brad for the very helpful and informative tutorial on measuring blood pressure! manually! God bless you both!
thank you for this video! i have a final on taking blood pressure for my sports medicine class, and i was really stressing this weekend about it!

So the systolic is where you first hear the pulse or where you hear it the loudest
