- This time, I make a Dining Table and bench out of solid 8/4 White Oak, that looks like it’s been cut down the middle and stitched back together.
T 72”L x 32”W x 29.5”H / B 48" L x 14" W x 18" H.

Hey man, I just discovered your channel and am really enjoying it so far. I love your aesthetic and think your storytelling style is interesting and engaging. Keep up the great work!
Super appreciate your words and support! I'll keep them coming :) Happy making!
the simple designs are always the most challenging to make look good, you nailed it.
I watch a lot of table videos on here, that is by far the coolest looking table I've ever seen. Definitely going to try making a bench that's similar.
What a perfect combination of form and function! And it's even dressed in its formalwear with the little bowties :) Super gorgeous and meditative, keep them coming!!
haha!!!! I love the bowtie comment. You are the best support
Beautiful build and great video too!
Congratulations sir, what a fantastic project and audio coverage. Brilliant.
Thanks so much for your comment. Cheers!
@@HartzStudio I understand that time can be difficult to find, however the production quality and attention to detail through the woodworking process is brilliant. If you’d consider creating more content, I can see you achieving a great deal within the community.
@@kemscan Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Things like this motivate me to keep going! You're a gem.
I will be releasing another video in the next 2 weeks - This time a lathe-based project :) Stay tuned!
Those look great! You may want to think a bit more about tangential wood movement on your future builds, the way you've attached yhe table and bench tops is solid, but doesn't allow for much expansion and contraction. When this happens you'll either get bowing/cupping or a crack on the top. It can take a year or ten but eventually it happens.
There are a few solutions here, sliding dovetails (NOT glued in all the way) keep the tops flat (ish) and allow for movement. Another option woyld be to leave the holes. Oversized on the base that way the screws and move a bit and dont restrict the tops. Finally you can also make keys that attach to the underside of the top and fit into slots routed out on the base, this is an elegant solution that I really lile and use often.
Hooe you don't take this the wrong way, i like your pieces, just wanted to point out some technical solutions to common wood movement problems.
All yhe best and keeo uo the cool work 😊
Good job
Thank you!
I think I saw you post this on Reddit the other day. Awesome video! You’ve officially got one more happy subscriber!
Thanks so much and glad you found your way over here! Reddit has been a great community to share with. Happy making!
Lovely piece
Thank you!
Wow. Great job! I hope I can build things as cool as that someday.
Appreciate you! Go for it!
Really creative and thanks.
Love the split idea and adding the bow ties are a nice feature.
Have subed and will be looking out for more.

Thanks for the love! Just saw your stuff and instant subscribed. So much skill and all with one hand?! You're a legend, Mate! Looking forward to watching more.
Lovely work pal.... New sub earned
Good luck mate... Good video and the product itself. Keep it up💫💫💫
Thanks so much for the support!
très joli vraiment
Merci :)
Great video and table. Keep it up!
thanks man - Likewise! your videos and work is solid
Beautiful. I believe you knocked that brief out the park.
What software did you use to produce the render?
I like this video a lot. I feel like a lot of hard work has gone into in but the music was too loud.
Thanks so much! this is good feedback - Next videos will have lower volume or no music based off of people's feedback.
Such a cool video! Love the look of the final piece. I have to ask, what are the name of the things you put into the dogholes to elevate your piece when cutting it? Thanks!
Appreciate your comment a ton! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment.

Totally worth it and I use them ALL the time. I have 3 sets
@@HartzStudio Awesome, I have a table with bunch of dogholes, this is just what I need!
This is great work! Question. Wood movement wise, does it matter if the grain of the bowtie is running the same direction or a different direction as the pieces it’s connecting? 12:10
Thanks so much! Its unlikely to be a problem - Also thinking of all of the slabs that have bowties running opposite grain directions. That said these are def great things to ask ourselves during the design process.
More and more girls are getting into wood working... That's a good thing. 🤣
Glad you think I'm cute :)
that music sure does suck
To each their own :)
