Thanks for the video. My ear speaker was misbehaving, so I followed the instructions to open everything up. I blew some pocket lint/dust out, put everything back together, and it's working now. Either the dust was interfering with the motion of the speaker, or unseating and re-seating the contacts cleared it up.

I have my phone completely apart just sitting in a box because I bought just the outer glass part of the screen from a Chinese company on ebay not realizing I needed the whole LCD display. -.- Can't wait to get that stuff I ordered from you so I can get it up and running again.
Great breakdown... I have water damaged lg g4 H815 and a fully working H810.. Is it possible to swap h815 components into the H810 to make it an H815... is it just the motherboard that needs swapping?

Would you say buying a new LCD is a bad idea? LG doesn't directly supply them and I have seen some reviews about replacements being washed out. I broke the glass on mine and I was wondering if it would be better to go the easier way and get the entire replacement front assembly, or if i should get the glass on its own. Thanks! (I hope this post is not too old to be checked)
Safwat Ali I actually bought the entire digitizer assembly... It was such a simple swap. I won't deny, the replacement screen as a small patch of bluer pixels, and overall doesn't have the amazingly sharp g4 colors, also the indicator led doesn't have a blur so it's very bright now. However it's well worth it instead of getting a new phone. PS. Because I bough my phone before September 2015 I was able to trade it in for a new one after it eventually overheated and bricked, so even with a void warranty and replaced digitizer they still honor that trade in. Hope this helps you decide, best of luck!
Safwat Ali likely yes, really depends on your carrier and who's at the store when you go for the exchange. In my case it was T-Mobile, and you can purchase a single day of their protection plan which renews the LG warranty(for some reason). I wish you luck!
So I bought one off of ebay and sadly it came with some fried pixels which I can live with for the year or 2 I plan on having it for but there is light shining through the almost entire left and some of the right edges of the screen. Would I have to go through this to fix that?
what if i dont have any adhesive tape for the screen? any other way to glue it? and if i wanna replace just the screen without frame, then do i still need to remove the small parts?

+Dillon Flores Sure, but you need some skill to separate the glass from the LCD. Id say 99/100 people who are not experienced will break the LCD trying to separate the glass from the LCD. its secured with LOCA, liquid optical clear adhesive.
+InjuredGadgets hes rite i just barley tried to just buy the glass and i broke my lcd......... now my phone is all in peaces and i need to order the lcd with the glass all over again. :(
just replaced screen. rear camera not working and front camera saves pictures upside down? the front camera cant be installed upside down as far as i can see and the rear camera is securely fastened

I just replaced my screen. when i turned it on the lg logo popped up then wouldnt boot to next screen. There is a slow blinking blue light in the top left corner. What could be wrong?
