Thank you for doing this. Another great demo. Both are very close. Q350 slightly more presence. Q150 a little tighter. I am leaning towards the Q150 for my taste.
Both these KEF'S sound nice with the AXA35, but the Q350 is warmer and sweeter n the mids, and sounds more natural on vocals. I said in another demo that I think this amp is slightly smoother and cleaner overall than the NAD 316BEE, but I thought the NAD had more dynamics. I stand by that, although I think you can add a touch more midrange detail as well. Still like this Cambridge, and I think these speakers, particulay the Q350 is more musical in some ways than the Polk Reserve R200... and some people will not agree. 🙂
Nice intro's E Project, almost like the stare-downs with boxing matches ;) The 350's bring more weight, scale, detail, space and are less compressed, it's just a class above. Thing I noticed when auditioning (for real) is that they lack a bit of dynamics, even with more powerful amps. Just mentioning it, because of some comments re. the amp.
In my country they are almost the same price. Around 40-50$ difference between them. I'm looking to use them 80% for movie watching, 20% for music listening (PC+Tidal). Amp AXA85. Which one would you recommend more for this particular case?
12.2 for warmer mids and less fatiguing, r200 for a brighter sound. The 12.2 has the BBC Dip for a smoother sound, the R200 is rather neutral throughout, the Q350 has boosted upper bass and then flat througout. Choices choices.
Will the room correction system such as Audyssey or DIRAC Live equalize both of the Q150 and Q350 speakers so that they both sound similar? I know that the Q350 has more of a deeper low frequency response compared to the Q150, but only a few commented that the Q150 has more of an analytical sound with better clarity, which I want. The KEF speakers, no matter which one I buy, will go with my Klipsch RP-1000SW subwoofer. I do want to get the best sound possible without breaking the bank and my budget is at $1,000 per pair, not each.
The 350 has better bass, richer mids, sweeter highs, much better balance, and better dynamics. The mids on the 150 are far too compressed and recessed, making it sound very boxy and shut in compared to the 350, IMO. The AXA35 seems to bring out the worst in the 150 and the best from the 350. However, the 350 costs as much as the Polk R200, so that's some very stiff competition
Though the difference is very subtle, the Q350s sounded fuller, where the 150s had perhaps a bit more clarity.

Cambridge CXA81 + Q350 = such an ideal pairing and the best I’ve personally heard with bookshelf speakers.
I frakking love this channel!

Q150 - more accurate, analytical.
Q350 - more lively and benefits from the larger driver, larger cabinet. Voice sounds deeper and natural.
Thanks again for your uploads, as always! Is there a possibility you could demo the R3s at all, or compare them with the LS50 Metas?
Objectively the R3s will shit on the Metas but rightly so from the price difference.
I will try! thanks
Which one’s right for me? The cheaper Q150!
if you are using these for rear sound channels wold the Q150's be better? I have a pair of the Q750 and Q650c.

Q350
Great!
I'm undecided between the 2 and the Diamond 12.2..
The astoundingly good polk R200 is the same price as the Q350.

@@DougMen1 where do you life? In Germany the Kef q350 costs 399€ and the Polk r200 costs 899€ which in more than twice the price.

Wow, metal was so much better on the 150's :O
Belle ouverture sur la 350 plus étriquée sur la 150 de bonne basse sur la 350

hello! the volume of the amplifier? I have this axa 35 and would like to buy this kef q350
I wonder too

Really depends where you're based. EU price is (converted) around 400 USD for the 350, where the Polk is around 880 USD 🤔
@@34332 Here in the US, the Q150 is $600, the 350 is $700, and the R200 is $750

If you already have a sub and cross over at 80hz, is there any point in the Q350's?
Bigger sound I guess, I'll get the 350's just because it on sale at the same price as the 150

I have a Cambridge Audio Topaz AM10 - and it has an audible hum. So sad.
It someone is not sure, check out the price.
Just remember that this test is limited to your shitty desktop headphones.
And youtube's 128 kbps audio bit rate
Axa35 has 35w power.....
Axa35 is crap.....mine lasted 3 weeks, then i lost the right channel.
I bought a Rotel A10.....great for both speakers
@@EA-58 your mileage may be different.

My main concern. The unit sounds great but who the hell wants to spend 400 dollars on this piece only for it to fail in less than 5 years
Q350 is not warmer or fulled just muddier.
Most over rated speakers in the market. KEF.
