  • What’s up everybody. In todays video, I will be installing a 1500 Watt Amp & Two 12” Skar Audio VD12 Woofers To My 2023 F350 Factory Head Unit Using A LC2iPro Converter. This converter is used to tap into your front factory speaker wires (high output) to be converted into (low input) jacks to be sent to your amp. This works great for me and sounds awesome.

For any other people, you can also just tap into any speaker wire with any door speaker and will have same results

It’s pretty easy to hook up and works great. It has all instructions on the settings inside the package too.

Question, do I have to connect all 4 speaker inputs on the LC2i or can I just use the left side + - since I will be tapping to the factory sub only?

I don’t think you need to use them all.

F250 stx model and i got a lc2i not pro .. but tap in to right side speaker signal only ..I have right rca jack to the voice amp only is that ok

You can try, a single right speaker wire only may be enough to give the unit the signal/power it needs. If not, just tap into the left/right speaker wires coming off the head unit.

Where did you find the wiring diagram for the stereo head unit to know which wires to connect to the converter?

I didn’t, it was trial and error.

Did you watch the video? He clearly says what the process was.

Is the factory amp located in the dash? If so, why did you go with the LOC vs the AmpPro….asking for a friend.

I don’t know if there is a factory amp in my dash or not. My large amp under the back seat needed an RCA out cable hookup for signal and my factory radio did not have this so I used the converter for larger Amp Signal.

@@DieselLegiance thank you for the response. As I was watching your video, which is awesome BTW, I could swear I saw the factory amp mounted in the dash. It is the gray metal box with the fins…

@ObservantTexan Not sure, it’s only an XL truck so not sure if this model has an Amp or not? There are not extra tweeters like what would come with a Lariat or King Ranch. Either way, I didn’t see any RCA outlets anywhere to use which is why I went with the converter plus the converter gives you a little more control over adjusting settings.

@@DieselLegiance understood….I am on the fence on the LOC and the AmpPro to get the RCA’s I need, but I haven’t found the factory amp so I may go the LOC route like you did. Great content sir!

Does it get loud? And can you hear it good from the outside of the truck?

Sounds good to me inside and outside. Keep in mind, it’s a low profile box so you’re not going to be shaking the neighbors windows outside but with the right amp and the right subs, it could sound better outside.
