We need Nabee to have a random effect that completely destroys aignister. Something like ``Declare 1 number : Banish all monsters on the field whose ATK is equal to the declared number, then Special Summon "Topologina" monsters from your hand, GY or banishement up to the number of monsters banished by this effect.`` Declare 2300 and boom.
@dudono1744 or just do a 2 dice and the number with level/rank lower to the number gets destroyed. For example if i roll a 5 all level/rank monsters on the field that's same or lower then 5 is destroyed
For the Topologina's, for an exclusive boss monster, it could be the meme where AI kept guessing if Pandora would summon or have a card called Topologina Nabee
Speaking of deckmasters, a writer named Santoryuu and I wrote a series of fanfictions that used deckmasters as a major plot point. In fact, we even came up with our own list of deckmaster abilities for cards not used in the filler arc.
Honestly, I'd like to see a release of The Doctor's/Brainwashed Bracelet Girl's parasite deck. Despite the duel being a pretty fan favorite one in Arc-V, it's funny how we only got 1 card from the whole archetype in the TCG.
Definitely got some more Volumes left in the tank for this. We might alternate doing an anime topic and a different topic for Yugioh videos for the upcoming videos just because we have so much to cover!
It's almost definite at this point! We were saying to ourselves "what about this one" when we already reached the 10 limit for this edition, so we have our next 10 pretty much set, and probably even more for a part 4.
Of all the archetypes that haven't been printed, I think that Drones have the most potential since they are primarily Wind attribute machine monsters, so you could tech them into archetypes like Speedroid or Mecha Phantom beasts to give them a bit of extra edge, and they would also be good on their own. On the flip-side, I really don't think the Orichalcos cards would have much success since, as Sam pointed out, they are extremely weak to card effect destruction and banishing, both of which are quite common nowadays. They would really need better protection in order to be even remotely viable.
19:05 - 19:35 Kinda answers the supposed question 30 seconds later. Shunoros was probably given the normal monster support role because of tokens being counted as Normal monsters.
That was my presumption too, but I got why Sam found it so weird since it didn't really have a deck to support and it did seem random that it just supported any ole normal monsters rather than something somewhat related to the anime.
10:55 Boy i hope so was going over it in the Master Duel discord the other day, "Shinato" being brought into 'The Agent' as a retrain in the vein of the Ishizu / Earth fairies would give both some hugely needed new life to both Shinato/related card support, and keeping the ongoing resurgence of Agent support. 'King of a Higher Plane' meaning the 'Sanctuary in the Sky' the whole time would be a neat little twist. if you wanted to bake it into the planets theme without just doing dark fairy retrains (like venus - destruction, etc) -- Shinato's Ark is that rogue comet ʻOumuamua that some people were thinking was an alien probe for a bit with the extremely strange way it behaved and the speed at which it started to leave the system.
Tomato in Tomato for Plant Synchro, think about 1 Level 1 tuner + Tomato in Tomato with an extra combo is a quick Level 7 Snychro which would be a cool tool to have if you play like a Black Rose Dragon, potentially giving you access to Ruddy Rose Dragon same turn with something like Spore Like I could see it
I think the kabuki Theater guy, field spell effects should all have a shared effect similar to the gladiator beast arch-type. at the end of each battle phase, the field spell retreats back into the deck and a new one takes its place. The gimmick is that it keeps changing the gimmick of the new stage.
I believe I heard someone suggest that, like how Blood Shepard showed their will to control/delete AIs with the Drone archetype, Lightning shows his will to subjugate humans in the humanoid Armatos Legio archetype. Just something to note.
Dartz and Bakura's decks are genuinely at the top of my list for ones that need to be adapted and/or remade For the former, we never got to see much of his deck and from the little we did see, only a small portion was released for the IRL game as nerfed versions of what they were in the anime. For the latter, while Konami has adapted and even retrained a lot of his cards, Bakura is one of the few DM main characters that doesn't really have an archetype to call his own. Which is weird since he did play the *Necro-* series of cards and Zorc honestly deserves both a retrain & an archetype around him.
For a Vrains duelist (like me) I would really love to make an Armatos Legio deck. The main goal is to summon Link-2 or higher monsters. And if you got Judgment arrows in you starting hand, then the opponent is doom😁
I would like to see. The dizzy archtype. Make the hot sauce have a unique effect Randomize target or make the board. Immune from x until ur next turn or make it like the forbidden items And the "hangover" unless use. Dizzy monsters x happens
Dartz was difficult to bring to life because he was an anime only filler character who they were using just to build hype, which is why his duel was just him boss flexing non-stop without any kind of actual consistency, theme, balance or believability. Even Noa, Gozaburo and the Big 5 were better in those regards, as well as for fitting into the setting, since they were based on established characters and history within the series.
Yeah, I was struggling to really think of how you'd implement them without just completely reqiting the effects. Konami has been getting clever with making nods to the anime in effects with recent legacy cards, so maybe they'd surprise us!
I love your take about Kabuki field spells that pulls a quick off. I play Abyss Actor, and we have Super Producer that can (Quick Effect) activate field spell from deck mid-chain, which the field spell itself passive negates. I think this would be a good direction for kabuki monsters & field spell synergy.
Most likely. We have a lot more from the anime we wanted to discuss, but Sam brought up a few manga only archetypes that might be mixed in with the anime in a future volume, or just get their own list since there are likely more than 10.
The main problem I have with the Kaiba Corp. Grand Prix is that most of the participants in that tournament aren’t shown dueling so we never see what decks they play and it sucks because they’re more or less just there to fill out the brackets and one guy even gets tied up so that Rex and weevil can steal his outfit similar to mighty mask from Dragon Ball and I think that if we actually saw these characters duel, it would be pretty interesting because they’re supposed to be skilled players but only three of the characters introduced in that ark are shown dueling with the rest, just having interesting character, designs
I like the idea of deck master but instead of making them another extra deck monster type I would still make them main deck monsters that get their effect only in the Extra Monster Zone. They would have the same stat lines as their original counter parts too. Names would be styled as "Deck Master - [Monster Name]" kinda like the new "Spell-Card" support. So ideally they would all share the same effect: - This card cannot be affected by any other card of the field except for its own effect. - This card must be summoned to the Extra Monster Zone. You can only control 1 "Deck Master" Monster card on the field. - One per turn during the Standby Phase, you can move this monster from the Extra Monster Zone to the Main Monster Zone by paying half your life points. If so, then this monster effects are negated for the rest of the duel. - If this monster is removed from the field while in the Extra Monster Zone, take damage equal to its original Attack. So for an example of this hypothetical archetype I would make "Deck Master - Dark Magician; DARK; Spellcaster/Effect Monster; ATK: 2500/ DEF: 2100" have all the previous mentioned effect, then its own effect would be: - Once per turn you can play any "Spell-Card" or any spell that mention "Dark Magician" during your Opponent's Main Phase or during Damage Step. - You can negate any spell card effect on the field by discarding on spell card from your hand to the grave. Deck Master - Blue-eyes White Dragon would be similar too, but using Blue-Eyes support instead.
I like that 1 idea where the monster cannot target itself. That would actually be a decent effect to block. Also, another effect would be once returned whenever your opponent commits a chain greater than 2, it is negated.
The spice spell cards would be interesting if theyre designed as in in R-ACE spell/traps. Change the requirement with vegetables that got banished. Having faithful effect of spices would also make the theme shines evenmore. For example, pepper. Additional effects that it can bounce opp monster (as in pepper induces sneeze)
Deckmasters should be like Plainswalkers in mtg but different enough to be a Yugioh thing. Maybe it could work like speed duel skills on a plainswalker. If I was designing it, they would show up at the start of the duel in their own special zone. I'd make them have skill abilities that a player would build a deck around, and when they get destroyed, a vital part of the strategy would be gone, and you'd be a sitting duck if one gets destroyed. I think it would be like a skill similar to Battle Chronicle in Duel Links on a Kisara themed deckmaster. Then, if and when Kisara gets destroyed, you can't add extra cards for free anymore or summon bewd without tribute. That's similar to losing if we have a format where it isn't a two turn game anymore. Maybe you could have lifepoints on the deckmaster that you can shield with monsters or your own lifepoints. But if you shield it with your lifepoints, you take 2 times the damage or something. Obviously, card design is a calaborative process, so idk how they would be made if deckmasters became a thing.
Yeah, remember that arc where they had deck masters. Have you ever played? Yugioh links against the boss characters in the game. Now that kind of feels like a deck mastwill you have to do extra vital damage or perform certain types of ax in order to win and if you don't within so many rounds, you automatically lose.
I think having a video game where they play a format using deck Masters would be interesting and maybe it could have a story inspired by the anime where Demasters were used or an original story or a combination of the anime and a new story
I still believe that Deck Masters were the precursor to the Skill system that Duel Links and the Speed Duel format uses. In that sense, we DO have Deck Masters... just not as an archetype. I remember way back in the day, I used to try to think up different abilities for Deck Masters. Pretty sure I still have the list somewhere lol
My friend, these archetypes decks are amazing. I really wish that they would be printed in the real world so everyone could aid them into their respective decks or collect.
Makes me wonder if there's a cake/pastry theme deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe... (Keep in mind that I haven't watched the anime since 5Ds and I don't even remember the last time I played the card game.)
Tbh my friend and I use the deck master ability in our own way for casual play. For starters each archetype is kept in their archetype. What I mean by that is a Snake eyes for example only has snake eyes cards in it. Or supporting spells and traps that benefit the archetype another example is Elemental Hero’s are kept seperate from Destiny hero’s, just like in the anime. It’s more fun for us that way. The whole meta thing with keeping decks as generic as possible just doesn’t appeal to us. The way they duel in the anime is way more fun. Next each deck has its own monster deck master that just like in the show is kept to the side. Most of the time it’s a duelist favorite card. A blue eyes deck would have blue eyes white dragon, and an elemental hero deck would have Elemental Hero Neos. And each deck master has 3 effects that benefit that archetype in some way be it gaining life points every turn, drawing a card when you destroy a monster etc. I’ve never played Master duel or Duel Links so I’m not sure if they duel the same way. But either way it’s a ton of fun and we love dueling each other with different decks. We made at least 50 at this point 😅
Deckmasters absolutely need to be adopted as a format. There is a website that has a long list of deck masters with abilities. I think it would definately bring some eyes back to Yugioh, especially if you base the format off of MTG's Commander Format
there is a bit more to the curry friend it banishes monsters your opponent sends to the grave and ones you get the veggie guys in the grave you can send all your opponents monsters to the banished zone to get even more power
26:51 out of curiosity what archetype is that also print Mystic factor from yugioh arc-v manga or just all of Eves cards and lastly if I’m not mistaken Armatos Legios is like the most capable link spam deck
With Armatos Legio Centurion, my copium is telling me that it's the reason they changed the archetype of the same name to Centur-Ion. Like, they didn't want another Frog the Jam situation so they just changed Centurion's name to get ready to print these things.
I know it's too little, too late, but with what you were saying about the Orichalcos addt'l. fields, all they need to do retool his boss to work with Psychic monsters. But I guess then you'd have a Psy-Stall strategy, and I shudder at the degeneracy I have unleashed in this comment.
For the topolgina monsters they could do something similar to the raiders where there is a xyz monster that is counted as both a raidrapter and a phantom solider card. Perhaps have them with effects like some heros do where you can make it using monsters from both groups instead of just the one it starts in.
If a card exists in Duel Links, especially if it already has an OCG printing then there should be nothing stopping the card that already has a translation from being printed in the TCG other than Konami not wanting to make money from collectors
Something I always thought was funny was that the Akaba family had light card suite themes with Reiji having D/D and Reia having C/C but they could never do this with Leo because his suite was Spades and Konami would never print an archetype called S/S so it was called Spirits instead.
I think a new video list you should do is one relating to monsters that seem to have switched types. 1 example is Trap Master being a warrior and Flash Assailant being a fiend. If anyone else can think of more switched examples please reply to this comment.
If Topologinas get printed and they make Nabee a new boss monster I think a neat but possibly extremely unhealthy way to do it is to make Nabee a domesticated version of Gumblar, sharing nerfed version of its effects to some degree and probably its own unique effect. Given how Topologinas are domesticated Topologics (as seen by their association to bees and Pandor being what is effectively a domesticated ignis) it would make sense for the card we never see with the joke of being too OP if it exists is pretty much a domesticated retrain of the Topologic who is still on the banlist for how toxic of a card it was. They would have to heavily restrict it I imagine as well as make it require archetypal cards with locks so it won't be added to the cyberse pile (Joshua Schmidt can sleep safe knowing a potential new cyberse archetype can't just be splashed with Code Talker, since he seems to hate that deck for a complete lack of a good reason. Not sorry to the Joshua Schmidt fans, I'm calling it how I see it and I see that he is a hypocrite for playing fiendpile and hating on the far worse cyberse pile that was only ever rogue at best. You know what actually? Make Topologina highly splashable. Make the man who can't go about 3 minutes without mentioning runick or striker cry himself to sleep because cyberse pile can actually do something better than barely a rogue deck at best)
Adding something here about the number 1 pick I very much doubt Armatos Legios will be printed at any point because of how integral Judgement Arrows is for their gameplan (they have a link-3 that just acts as another copy) compared to every other deck that used it. D-Scale, Stormrider and Hydradrive don't require it to be printed at all for their gameplans and as we see in real life @Ignister straight up doesn't need it as that's the one deck the card was used in that is currently printed at time of this. Printing Judgement Arrows would be an absolute headache and nightmare to do and could imply more link spells in the future (think what happened with rank 13, which I have serious opinions towards that) because it would have to be a new spell type to try to avoid the headache of figuring out making it work as a continuous spell named "Link-Spell -- Judgement Arrows" that works like a toned down version of the spell in the anime. I think it they wanted to rush Armatos Legio and make it not require the key card so integral to how it functioned in the anime, it would probably be either a continous spell that just gives blanket protection to cyberse links and boosts the attack if they are specifically Armatos Legio or a normal or quick-play that's always treated as an Armatos Legio that can either search an armatos legio or let you grant an archetypal link attack for a turn and can be banished to protect an archetypal link and the effects in Armatos Legio proper that require need it in field (if continuous) or grave (if not continous)
I like that the drones just aren't monsters. Like even other machine archetypes are robots or mechas, these are just aircrafts and that makes sense cause that's what drones are, intelligent planes. The only other 'it's just a thing' archetype is the trains but their Anna's, she can do her thing.
I like the deck master idea but they need to retcon/change many things like make all monster with similar effects the same things Also about fusion monsters, some of the olderr "fusion" should be retconned into normal monsters Also also there should be a rule to allow retrained to fuseable: for example we should be able to use Swift Gaia and Curse of Dragon to make Dragon Champion, Skull Archifiend of Lightning for B Skull Dragon, etc
For deck masters, why not make it like the toy cards? You can play them in the spell and trap zone where they're unaffected by other card effects and while in the spell and trap zone they can use their deck master effect.
33:43 -YOU SEE!!! You mentioned both Judge Man and Judgement Arrows in this deck! That's one too many Judgements for a video! That's what you get when you don't have the Judgement Meter here to regulate that stuff!💛

Was just listening to another MTTL one without ya and thinking ..I need one with the JM adding her touch! I'll summon ya face up anytime you want to let out your unique laugh! Cheers me up a little every time I hear it! 💛
The easiest way to make Judgment arrows work is borrow from weather painters. The Canvas card effect the monster in the column and the adjacent ones. Just cut the zone opening effect
Hi man! I'm a good fan of your job about fighting games. Could you create a list with characters using clones/ghost of them self to help them in battle? Thanks!
It's hard for me not to say "meter" after saying Judgment after all these years, and there are a lot of Yugioh cards that like the word Judgment. Top Ten Judgment Cards in Yugioh?
Whenever there's a set that supposedly having a Light attribute theme, I always expect Arcana Force and armatos legio to get support. It finally happened with Arcana Force, so maybe my normal hunch will come true with the set that's gonna have all the new Arcana Force stuff.
Tbf, Black Winged Dragon is the main monster that prevents that, and Crow didn't have it until that duel, but yeah, it's funny how they really just set him up for a pretty interesting loss via reverse burn.

Honestly, I'd like to see a release of The Doctor's/Brainwashed Bracelet Girl's parasite deck. Despite the duel being a pretty fan favorite one in Arc-V, it's funny how we only got 1 card from the whole archetype in the TCG.
My favourite Yugioh anime exclusive archetype is the Drones one. It’s pretty cool and I think it’s the most likely one to be printed one day.

I remember way back in the day, I used to try to think up different abilities for Deck Masters. Pretty sure I still have the list somewhere lol
Energon reference let's go!!
My friend, these archetypes decks are amazing. I really wish that they would be printed in the real world so everyone could aid them into their respective decks or collect.
Makes me wonder if there's a cake/pastry theme deck
in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe... (Keep in mind that I haven't
watched the anime since 5Ds and I don't even remember
the last time I played the card game.)
I had fan made archetype that named R.A.T.S, the deck minster are firn if rat a plague rat or a mechanical rat with the boss monster being R.A.T king
If we ever get the link spell, think it would have to be a link 3 monster that gets moved to the S/T zone and act as a spell when in that zone.
I would like to see Bob banters game show deck from Yu-Gi-Oh GX, please in the next video
there is a bit more to the curry friend it banishes monsters your opponent sends to the grave and ones you get the veggie guys in the grave you can send all your opponents monsters to the banished zone to get even more power
Armatos legio is probably more likely to be in duel links than in real life as they can just make judgment arrow into a skill
I would love to see more of this
Definitely planning on a few more parts between other Yugioh videos!
Hm, interesting, i wonder what Vol. 3 will cover?
By the way, i really like the Ida of doing a Villain Decks List.
I just noticed avian's cake and now I can't unsee it
26:51 out of curiosity what archetype is that also print Mystic factor from yugioh arc-v manga or just all of Eves cards and lastly if I’m not mistaken Armatos Legios is like the most capable link spam deck
Dartz is one of my favorite bc of how dark and how high the stakes are
when i was a kid i cried when yugi said "it only needs one of us" other than that i didnt get any feels from that arc
I like the color of his hair
@JudgmentMeter in my perspective I think dartz is a more powerful villain bc how his powers is unfamiliarized with Yugi's millennium puzzle
Maybe you should do one where you do real game archetypes that don't exist in the anime that should like six samurai
Blood Shepard was so cool because mans actually got shit done inspite of being genre blind which is impressive.
i can't wait to see the c/c deck in one of this video
Fun fact: The Farmer with the tomato deck was voiced by Dan Green in the dub.
I love the aromage cards I'm trying to build a irl deck but I'd have to buy them individually as the set they came in isn't around now
Consider pairing them with Sunavalon, these little trees gain LP quite often.
Adding something here about the number 1 pick
I very much doubt Armatos Legios will be printed at any point because of how integral Judgement Arrows is for their gameplan (they have a link-3 that just acts as another copy) compared to every other deck that used it.
I like the deck master idea but they need to retcon/change many things like make all monster with similar effects the same things
Also about fusion monsters, some of the olderr "fusion" should be retconned into normal monsters
Also also there should be a rule to allow retrained to fuseable: for example we should be able to use Swift Gaia and Curse of Dragon to make Dragon Champion, Skull Archifiend of Lightning for B Skull Dragon, etc
For deck masters, why not make it like the toy cards? You can play them in the spell and trap zone where they're unaffected by other card effects and while in the spell and trap zone they can use their deck master effect.
I want the Hydradrive and the New Order Archtypes and the Alchemy Beasts and the spells that summon them created I would love to build those 3 decks.
33:43 -YOU SEE!!! You mentioned both Judge Man and Judgement Arrows in this deck! That's one too many Judgements for a video! That's what you get when you don't have the Judgement Meter here to regulate that stuff!💛
All of this "Judge"-talk is summoning me!!!
@JudgmentMeter Yay! Currently listening to you talk about Hiita on your duel monsters back stories Vol. 7 video!
Deckmasters are basically what Magoic did with Companion and it COMPLETELY warped every format around it
Companions are basically Link-1s
Tomatos are fruit, they are a berry. The plant is apart of the nightshade family.
Hi man! I'm a good fan of your job about fighting games. Could you create a list with characters using clones/ghost of them self to help them in battle? Thanks!
Top Ten Fighting Game Duo Characters is one I've been wanting to cover for awhile! Maybe 2025 will finally be its year.
When in doubt I just copy those said decks as best I can with something similar to those said anime only cards !
Judgment Arrows could just work like the Weather Painter cards.
You said Judgement so much at the end there, I thought you were summoning Judgement Meter like she's Beetlejuice
It's hard for me not to say "meter" after saying Judgment after all these years, and there are a lot of Yugioh cards that like the word Judgment. Top Ten Judgment Cards in Yugioh?
IAMBEETLEJUICE
Btw, for people interested in a deck master format, I recommend Domain format.
I caught that Little Kuriboh reference.
White Warriors could have a field spell that forces both players to set spell & trap cards before activating them...
Deck Master actually is an alternate ruleset! Nobody plays it though.
please mention aqua madoor too, as it's my favourite
I bet the next set will have Lightning's cards
Whenever there's a set that supposedly having a Light attribute theme, I always expect Arcana Force and armatos legio to get support. It finally happened with Arcana Force, so maybe my normal hunch will come true with the set that's gonna have all the new Arcana Force stuff.
Do Bonaparte (GX) Toy Soldier Archetype!!
I used to pretend Digimon could fuse together before adventure 2 ( DNA digivolvong was a thing)
The deck master archetype has so much potential to be broken
Judge Man, Clear the Room sound like a Jojo stand like Killer Queen Bites the Dust and D4C Love Train
I am the Judge Man
WTF was Bulger thinking?! He Made an anti Black Wing deck that's focus on Burning Damage... the SPECIALITY OF BLACK WINGED XD
Tbf, Black Winged Dragon is the main monster that prevents that, and Crow didn't have it until that duel, but yeah, it's funny how they really just set him up for a pretty interesting loss via reverse burn.
Sheperd’s drone deck hopefully gets printed
Not from the anime, nor a full on archetype. But I’d like Gekko Tenma’s Elf cards from the Yugioh R manga
We may eventually get to the manga-only archetypes!
Thank you again
Have Deck Masters need to be placed on the field card zone to make it its own unique playstyle
