      I wonder why nobody ever told Stallone something like....hey you know this Paulie character is extremely unlikeable. Maybe give him like one redeeming quality in the first 3 movies? Or that in the first apartment scene with Adrienne, Rocky comes off as kinda rapey 😂. I always laugh watching younger generations of people, especially females do reactions to this movie when it comes to that scene lol

    The end still shots in rocky movies are always a classic! So many stories....pro tips, sold his dog, butkus( proly named after the famous football player Dick Butkus), cuz he was broke and homeless. It's a True story retelling of the Ali tune up fight, before his rematch with Frazier for the world title! Ali fought Chuck Wepner and damn near got knocked out! Wrote the script in 2 weeks! Really a love story. Adrian is the sister in godfather!!😮 He was offered big money to sell the script, but not star in it. Stallone wouldn't do it. He eventually sold the script to ABC television. Henry winkler, his good friend, played The Fonz, on Happy Days. He found out ABC had the script. Happy Days was THE biggest show on TV. Henry went to the executives and said, if u don't give me the script, I leave the show. They gave it to him! He gave it back to Stallone. This movie won multiple Oscars, and even Ali got on stage with Stallone, when he was at the Oscars and said, "u stole this script from me!" In part 2, theres a few times when they actually hit each other pretty damn hard, and were pissed off at each other, and u can see it! He bought his dog back, after it became a hit! He wrote produced directed and choreographed most his rocky movies, and other movies he was in. He almost died in 4, because he purposely didn't choreograph his first 2 rounds. He wanted it to look like Drago and himself, were really feeling each other out, like real boxers. Drago(Dolph Lundgren) end up breaking his ribs, punctured a lung, and I think even his heart sac! Dolph has been also in his Expendable movies, and in real life has a couple of Masters/PhDs in engineering!😁😁 Drago wife, was actually married to Stallone!😮😮 They have beautiful daughters! Rizzo was in the first 2 godfather movies! A man named Irwin Winkler or Chartoff owns the rights to Rocky and always has. So Stallone only gets paid from them, as an actor writer director choreographer. The other guy has ALWAYS refused to do what's right, and sell the rights to Stallone, even though the jerk has made proly billions off of Rocky! Spider Rico, the first guy he fights here, works for him in Rocky Balboa or Creed. So does the girl that says, screw u creepo! The guys singing outside by the fire barrel in 1 and 2, Frank Stallone! In Rocky 3, bad guy was a former bouncer who won a TV tough man who! Went on to star in a long running TV show! Adrian is Talia Shire, a member of Hollywood royalty, the Coppola family! Francis Ford, Sophia and Nicholas Cage!😮😮😮!!! Drago and wife return in Creed 2!

    Thank you, I loved the reaction!!! However, I don't think Rocky was yelling at Mickey because his house Stinks (though he's not happy about it), but because one, he's mad at Mickey for not helping him before and two, he scared... It takes a lot of guts to fight someone who you know is gonna hurt you. Mickey wants Rocky to "stay down" in the 14th round because he doesn't want Rocky to get hurt anymore, permanently damaged or killed, because fighters won't quit. And Apollo won the fight on a split decision. 3 judges score the fight. 2 out of 3 judges ruled for Apollo... Draws do happen, but the ring announcer would have said the match was a "Draw" instead of "Split Decision".

    • @kai_masters
      @kai_masters  Рік тому +5

      I definitely understand that Rocky feels Mickey betrayed him by giving his locker to another fighter. Also, I realized afterwards that Apollo won the fight (by a hair) and knew that regardless, he retained his championship. Thanks for the clarifications as I’m just starting my journey into the franchise!

      A year+ late, but Mickey actually just wanted Rocky to stay down for at least an 8-count so Rocky would have extra time to rest and recover for the rest of the fight. It's a common tactic in boxing.

He is crude and rude and racist and a drunk, but if you ever got in a street fight and needed someone to have your back, Paulie would be there. You'll see. Rocky and Adrian are among the great couples of all time. Their love for each other was real, and they were so good for each other. Adrian really bloomed, and did you notice a couple of times she talked like Rocky? When Rocky came home and she was waiting for him, he said, "Yo!" She stood up, climbed up to the top of the steps, and said, "Yo!" back. Another time she answered, "Absolutely." Please watch the sequels, all of them. I don't have exact calculations (which I could get if I took the time to look), but let's say, that $40 is $400 in current economy, then yes it still is nothing compared to what you have to endure: a vicious beating on a regular basis to get that much cash. You seem to forget that this was in 1976... Converse WERE the best sports shoes out there, even into the mid 1980's players in the NBA were wearing them. There were other brands around, such as NIKE, but either due to marketing and/or having similar or worse cushioning than Converse, they were not as popular. Honestly watch all of them. Rocky 1, 2, and rocky balboa (the 6th and final rocky movie) are more focused on his personal development and the other ones were made to continue the franchise and to make money mostly, so they’re good but they aren’t quite as story driven as the first 2 and the last one. You’ll get what I mean if you watch them all. Horrible explanation, but they’re all good.

    Split decision is NOT a tie.
    When fight goes entire 15 rounds, it goes to the judges to determine winner. There are 3 judges. If all 3 judges agree on who won, it's called a unanimous decision. If one judge disagrees, its called a split decision. In this case the winner is the one that the Two judges picked. Here Apollo was picked by 2 judges, Rocky by one..

    Do not drop the screen......annoying as hell. There are other ways to do it.

      Thanks for your comment. We initially tried to keep the screen up for the entire time but encountered copyright headaches, even while using watermarks to partially block the screen. We discovered that the current format works best for avoiding copyright so we stuck with it.
