@@smoothjulio joe Johnson in 2008 avg 21.9ppg, 4rpg, and 1.1stls while Kevin Martin averaged 24.6ppg, 4rpg, and 1.2stls, there were a couple other years as well, he was definitely overlooked and under appreciated
@@zach1389 well I had to double check since I’m a die hard kings fan and I didn’t remember K-Mart being THAT good. good scorer for sure though, but not prolific by any means. he was also on an absolutely dogshit team, which makes it so much harder to make an all star team. Joe was in the East when the East was shitty as hell, and the hawks were a top 3 team in the East for 5 of the 6 all star seasons he had there
Man, he probably had the same Jumpshot in elementary school. I bet everybody told him "change it if you wanna be an NBA player" and he probably ignored them all. And look at him now
Yes you are taking alot from his career yeah he wasn't the best defender but he wasn't the worst either he always averaged over a steal per game hes waaaay better than Harden defending that's for sure but saying hes just a streak is straight up disrespectful he can score and had clutch and he could also create his shot he was averaging 23 per game and was snubbed that year in Houston ...
Gabe Washington he wasn't a "franchise" player never has. He was really horrible at defense worse than harden he was mostly a great shooter like JJ Reddick but more athletic.
Gabe Washington only a few players in the league are franchise players he's an all star but not that. Where Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Jamal Crawford, Richard Hamilton franchise players no they where great scorers and all stars like KM. And they where all better than KM...
I still remember the number 1 shot he made about 10 years ago when he was on the Kings. I was a kid in elementary school and I couldn't stop thinking about this shot for days. Even now I tend to remember the days when the Kings were playoff contenders and K Martin made that game winner. I was going crazy as a kid. Great memories. Hope he has a blessed and happy life in retirement from the NBA.
One of the guys that’s gonna be forgotten through time but will live on through us setting around a fire talking about 2000s and 2010s random basketball players
Love him. never the flashiest player didn't have the nest handles, didn't jump high, had an ugly jumpshot but man knew how to score. Borderline all star his whole career. Sad he had to retire a bit soon.
He was my favorite player on the Kings! Still have his autograph jersey that I wear from time to time. Me and my cousin used to see who could make it first imitating his jumper lol
Most underrated player ever, someone tell me how he's never made an all-star game. I may be a little biased because I know him personally, I'm from Zanesville just like him, and my dad coached him in middle school, but still I don't know how he's so underrated
Just a friednly reminder that Kevin Martin retired because he couldn`t find a team to play in but Anthony Bennett signed with the Brooklyn Nets because logic.
how? Harden was only averaging 16ppg and Kmart was averaging 14.9ppg with better defense. OKC didn't lose much at the time if Harden never would of left OKC he still would of been averaging around the same points. It was good trade for him
Trill Troy It was a terrible trade. You're only basing it off a 1 year standpoint and not thinking long term. Yes, Martin averaged 14 ppg for thunder but his defense was equally as bad as Harden and he wasn't making plays for his teammates either. Martin only stayed with the Thunder for 1 year. Thunder would've still had Harden if they signed him in 2012. Look at Harden now. He's a legit MVP candidate and has been a top 10 player for 4 years. Martin had 3 different teams in the past 4 years and now he's retired.
worst thing rockets did was pair harden with dwight the bitch boy(east boy). It only hindered the success of the rockets, d'antoni has harden playing better than hes ever been
Well damn! I'm pretty sure the guy can still play in the NBA! He probably would do well for a bench player. He's only 33 right?? Well he might decide to go back to NBA if an offer comes right? He really had superstar potential during his Sacramento kings days..then he went to Houston and was played well there as well. He went to thunder and Spurs, but I guess injuries? Not enough playing minutes and etc. plagued him. Too bad..he could really be helpful to some teams right now.
One of if not the most underrated player in NBA history.
ehhh
true
Dante Jackson Hell no. He couldn't pass defend or rebound that well. He was a really good scorer but that's about it
Maybe not the most but extremely underrated
Dante Jackson most underrated player in NBA history ? Hell no
Definitely one of the most underrated players of all time, dude would average 25 points consistently and always got snubbed for all star voting
He literally never averaged 25ppg for a single year. He passed 24 once, and 23 twice.
@@portlandgoose4727 🤓🤓🤓
Who got in that made him a snub?

Hopeful Laker Fan he had a mediocre career so
17.4 ppg for his career, average for NBA is like 7. Define mediocre.
Vincent Chauvet THAT IS MEDICORE
Bet if you was in the NBA you would have no playing time
that's a stupid statement if ever I have read one
Pretty sad how really good players have to play on crappy teams their whole career
Sir Disney curry

knightofdreamz LOL, the rockets were only a good team after harden came for a couple of years. K marts time in Houston the team was awful.
Cheney Zhang I remember Scola bricking the shit out of everything lmao
knightofdreamz Look at his numbers when he was in Sacremento, he was the best player on his team. Did pretty good when he was in Houston too.
I remember when he was the franchise player of the rockets and James harden was still 6th man in okc
Gabe Washington he wasn't a "franchise" player never has. He was really horrible at defense worse than harden he was mostly a great shooter like JJ Reddick but more athletic.
Francisco Olivares obviously you don't know what a franchise player is
Gabe Washington only a few players in the league are franchise players he's an all star but not that. Where Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Jamal Crawford, Richard Hamilton franchise players no they where great scorers and all stars like KM. And they where all better than KM...
yea great times
Francisco Olivares I'm not saying in general he is but at the time he was the best player on that team making him AT THAT TIME a franchise player
why did this guy retire? he'll definitely fit in todays offense... he's a good role player who can really shoot
I think he was Warriors or Cavs missing piece off the Bench.
he's old
Mikel Games no he's not he's 33 and his playstyle can still get him 20 points a game.
BOByLICIOUS Injuries and nobody picking him up. Plus, with him being 33 his body is starting wear down.
The Rose in the garden Injuries.
I remember playing him on 2k years ago.
seal3081 me too! I would always get blocked though because he released the ball so low lol
seal3081 I still play with him you can start a season on 2k and you can find on the free agency

Yeah I memba!!!!
72vince27 yeee. That was when he could do no wrong offensively
No, practically his whole career
One of the craziest pump fakes I've ever seen (would always get the contact afterwards). He used to tear Dwyane Wade up with it.
It's crazy because he actually said he learned to draw fouls by studying footage of Dwyane Wade
So underrated
very underrated
Carlos Martinez not really
Who else remembers when Kevin Martin almost made the All-Star team when he was with the Kings !!
One of my fav underrated players!
I remember throwing a football around with Kevin Martin when I was a kid. His cousin was one of my best friends when I was 5 or 6.
Kevin Martin Still look & play bout 25 why he retiring lol
He was by far my most favorite player on that Sacramento team. So underrated.
Fav player of all time! Love you Kev
Shouldn't have retired, he can still ball , a team will sigh him. The league NEEDS veterans to teach these kids
Chris Carter Kids? Nearly all those kids are bigger than you
+est 98 size doesn't matter lol if you're inexperienced you're inexperienced
Demarcus Jackson Everyone is inexperienced at something. So what you're saying is ......
est 98 I'm 6'9 and 27 so no, most of those kids aren't.
Chris Carter and you're not pro?
His number 1 play should be his trade for Harden Lmao
Kevin Martin never got the respect he deserved. He was nice for years.
One of the most underrated players of all time
“The zanesville zapper” love it
Recoil I’m from Zanesville 🥴!!!
I like Kevin Martin what a amazing player
Love him. never the flashiest player didn't have the nest handles, didn't jump high, had an ugly jumpshot but man knew how to score. Borderline all star his whole career. Sad he had to retire a bit soon.

He was my favorite player on the Kings! Still have his autograph jersey that I wear from time to time. Me and my cousin used to see who could make it first imitating his jumper lol
K-Martin is one of my favorite NBA players. So sad that he's retiring ;/
So underrated... He was one of (if not) my favorite basketball player in the nba.
Scoring machine, I was so happy when he played for the Rockets. He'll be missed for sure in the NBA.
He is a good player. i loved him when he was playing for Sacramento Kings.
Kevin... I know him in real life I can't believe it he worked with my step mom

funny he retired since he's been averaging about 20 ppg the past 10 years 🤔
McGee.Pac He hasn't averaged over or close to 20 since 2011 lol
He averaged 20 two years ago lol
Played like half the season
Sharif A. nope he averaged like 15 last season
PudgeDJK You're not even remotely close. He averaged 9 ppg in 2015-16. Where the fuck did you get 15??
This top 10 is surprisingly good
THE GOAT!!
underrated
love using Kevin Martin on 2k13
Still better than half of today's players
Martin and Roy 2 of my fave SG back in the day SMH injuries.
Mystic Mac thinking about Roy just makes me sad..
K mart was great player loved his game good from the 3point 💪🏾
What a great player
dont let this distract you off the fact that the Warriors blew up a 3-1 lead with the first unanimous MVP and a 73-9 RS record.
no one cares

Arco Pattiwael No Clyde Drexler
Δημητρης Μπεκιαρης Chris Mullin was a SF

lol I hate those kids at school who wear Nike elite socks that match their shoes and have Kevin Martin's shooting form
except those kids shoot bricks when kevin martin was known to be a sharpshooter lol
melokid99 soooo? 99% of white basketball players grade 6-12? You aren't lying 😂
seen that playoff game winner live. I think he was a rookie n Artest was on the team. loved that series
one of the cleanest fades in NBA history
Daniel Quinto 😂😂😂😂spot on his shit b crispy af
I wish he stayed with OKC I think he could've made a difference. He was the only person on that 2012- 2013 team besides KD with a consistent jumpshot.
Lonzo Ball’s favorite player 😂😂😂
Goat
my favorite player of all time
anybody remember nba 2k13 Kevin Martin looking exactly like J Cole
TheOneYouFear 1 😭 facts
I'm predicting a comeback, he's way too young at 33 and he can still score. he retired out of frustration in my opinion.
It’s been six years and still no return. Sad honestly. He was an awesome player…
That shooting form tho
Kevin Martin was a effortless scorer. I think people often overlooked that. He could easily get u 20 per game.
how about the highlight from Houston Rockets. I love the way he draws.
Better shooting form than Curry.
#FACTZ
Kawhi Not and better D than Kawhi
#FACTZ
Steph Curry The G.O.A.T Just shut up.
Kawhi Not lmao nigga shut yo hating ass up you everywhere hating
Kawhi Not why you even bring up curry

Right outta Zanesville 💯
i remember i was a big ass fan on this dude when he was with the Rockets
He was one hell of a scorer. I thought he had a little more in the tank maybe as a bench shooter for a contender.
Lol
That kings commentator been saying that if you don't like that you don't like kings basketball longer than I thought
Just a friednly reminder that Kevin Martin retired because he couldn`t find a team to play in but Anthony Bennett signed with the Brooklyn Nets because logic.
Al Capone I blame his agent tbh, dude probably didn't do his job of convincing teams to give KMart a shot.
Here from twitter
Him for harden was the worst trade ever
ChildishBoiDEEZY nah Tyrus Thomas and lamarcus Aldridge was worst

This dude used to kill me in 2K 😂😂 quick ass release
Kevin Martin The Original Lonzo Ball
He retired too early. He can still ball at a high level.

Kevin Martin retired to remind that he was still in the NBA.
0:20 that walk tho
For Kevin Martin he got a lot of bodies
crazy hes from zanesville ohio the small city thats unheard of
My favorite teammate in 2k
Was he on the Spurs when he resigned??
A Sacramento kings GOAT. Shouldn't have retired unless his legs were already giving out.
Do He Still Play
Pretty sure he had some good plays when he was on the Rockets. Not sure why those years were skipped when putting this together.
KEVIN Martin > KEVIN Durant
