to me quality of the music refers to the bitrate which was ruined first by the mp3 age then ruined even more by the streaming age. for examble youtube can do 128 kbps when CDs can do
1 411 kbps. CDs sound quality is over 11 times better.

I was upset that no one was paying attention until 1:24 when the guy in the red shirt showed up... he stood there and listened to the rest of the song, enchanted by her voice.

Her voice is hurting and you can hear it clearly, that's why I would also go home just not to listen that performance.
Don't know if people realize how hard that is to do, perform alone like that, with just your instrument to accompany you, and a moving street performance young lady.

There are very good covers in youtube, with great singers. In MOST of the cases, however, the original songs keep being the best versions one has heard. The "problem" with Allie's covers is this: hers are, in MANY, MANY, MANY CASES, the best versions you have ever heard, even if the original songs, singers or groups are your favourite. Many times, it is just her and her guitar. Some other times, other great artists play or sing with her. No studio effects, no computer arrangements, and such great and professional results. Thank you, Allie, for your gift!
