I have a Sun Mountain stand bag and decided on the Bag Boy Nitron. Works great with my bag. It was less expensive than the Clicgear 4 and did not require any additional add on/extension .
I'm having the model 3.5, which is the previous generation, and have it for about 5 years now and am really happy with it. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat in case it should break. Friends used to have different pushcarts but many of them ended up switching over to the clicgear as well. One of the accessories that's often overlooked that I can highly recommend and if you're sometimes playing in wet/muddy conditions is the wheel-cover. Here it rains a lot and this way I don't make my car dirty when I put it inside to drive back home. By the next time I take the cart out of the car usually any mud or dirt that was left, has dried up on the wheels and is kept inside the wheel-cover and just falls off when I take the cover off.
Yeah it's still my favorite push cart by far still too! still as solid as the day I got it. Yeah I can see that being a very under rated product now, especially in a wet weather area. Thankfully living in Southern California a beach towel does the trick for the few days its wet out there haha
The hand brake is great, but not a fan of the low to the ground front axle. Can see that getting caught on curbs or small bumps on the course. But it looks like not an issue with the amount of use you've given it. It looks nice overall though.
I’ve never ever had an issue with the front axle and I’ve had two the original model which I gave me da after I bought the 4.0. Then after a season with the 4.0 I am selling that cart and have bought a mgi zip navigator AT
I have the same cart. What I find is that I had to purchase an $18 add on height extender just so my bag wouldn't touch the front wheel and rub on it as I was pushing the cart. I have to say that I wouldn't expect that from a push cart manufacturer. It's really bogus and we shouldn't have to buy an add on just to raise our bags so it doesnt rub on the front wheel. You should bring that to the attention of clicgear.
Congrats on your first video review Shawn, well done! The blooper touch at the end is cool too. The knob that screws into the umbrella slot is a winner. I have a concern and a question. I hope someone will reply. Concern: This is not the first video i have seen it in either. At the 1:20 minute mark the base of the cart that holds the bottom part of the golf bag looks dangerously close to rubbing against the front wheel. Is this an easy fix, or a design issue? The question is, If I purchase the cooler bag can it be folded up with the cart when empty?
Thank you!!! I appreciate it very much! In that clip it’s kind of deceiving how close it really is, I’d say there’s a 2 inch gap or so. However there is 2 fixes for it. You are able loosen 1 screw and the front wheel will slide in or out a bit, mine is at the default adjustment. Second is they do sell a riser that clips on to the part the bags bottom rest on. For the bag cooler I’m not exactly sure, seems if it’s empty you’d be able to fold it up still as it is a soft cooler. I don’t currently have access to that or the large mess net, so I can’t speak from experience though.
I did!!! I was very fortunate!!! Been doing a lot of research/studying these last few weeks (why I didn’t put anything out recently) because of this. So I hope my next few might too 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I can’t speak to the CaddyTek but I can definitely say this thing is built like a tank and zero issues all this time with it yet. it’s just rather heavy compared to a lot of other carts I’ve realized
My family has 3 caddytek push carts. My kid has the caddytek caddylite compact 3. Absolutely fantastic. Got on Amazon for 130. Super light. Sets up quicker. But no bag on the underside for storage. My wife has the caddytek caddylite one. The 3 wheeled cart with a swivel wheel in the front u can lock if you want it to go straight. Has a handle up top to lock the wheel. But the brake is by the back right wheel which I don't like cause I'm 6' but that was $160. I have the caddytek one tour. 4 wheeled push cart with 2 front swivel wheels. That one has a hand brake at the handle and a lock underneath to quickly lock the front wheels that was $230. And if they pull to one side or the other on both of the swivel carts. You can re-align the front wheel. The caddylite one and the caddytek one tour both have a storage bag underneath. All 3 come with a cup holder and umbrella holder. And all 3 have the same style handle with the same cubby and storage net along with tee holders and a phone holder. Psa, you can get a universal golf ball holder to clop on to the same mount as the cup holder also, there's 2 cupholder mounts. Long response I know. And a little late. But my take on what I feel are the 3 best options from caddytek. Also. We got all 3 of them 2 years ago and golf consistently. They all function as they did out of the box. No wobble on the wheels or difficulty opening and collapsing them. 😊
That's fine if you set up your cart on grass. In the carpark it gets scratched on the bitumen. Not a realistic demo on how to set up without damage. I use a folded towel on the ground to avoid damage to the cart. Otherwise I like the cart.
I have the sun mountain V1speed cart and I love it but thinking about switching to the Clic gear because it folds up so small. The sin mountain also has a nice mesh masker in the handle to throw all your pocket stuff and snacks in
I’m not sure, I know I’m constantly using my break and it feels fine, feel the cable down by the wheel could maybe malfunction before the handle honestly. Again just my observations.
@@RichardMyers13 there is a screw you can loose on the front wheel and you can move it forward an inch or so. Sorry your bag touches that’s a shame. I know mine has a few inches clearance. Debated getting that riser just to make my bag higher because I’m 6’7 and just want my bag higher haha
@@ShawnyBGolf I did some research and found that they are not. I also found that the straps on the 3.0 and 3.5 are easier to adjust for bigger bags. Another thing I found out is that the accessories for Clicgear and Sun Mountain push carts are compatible. That is good to know.
So far in less than a year, I’ve had to replace the brake gear, sometimes if you push to hard before remembering to take off the brake the tabs snap off. Also the cup holder never stays tight. A pain to open and close but All in all it’s a great roll.
personally with the knob, I end up naturally pushing down on it a little and lifting the front wheel not really making it much of an issue to me. again my personal experience.
I was concerned with this as well but it is a non issue. Using it for awhile I honestly think a swivel wheel would be super annoying and a pain. With the stationary wheel you just point it where you want to go and can push with one hand. A swivel wheel would be trying to turn all over the place.
My beef with click gear is the bad ergonomics of the storage bin, the constant rubbing of the bag on the wheel, and the overpriced accessories that aren’t that great. Cup holder is shit
@@ShawnyBGolf I think he means that the angle of your handle is in the default (most vertical) position. It's better if you drop it down a couple positions (more horizontal). I know this because I just bought this cart today.
@@blakesweeney1023 got it. I’m 6’7 so if I lower it, it’s much harder for me to reach it comfortably. I’d have to hunch over. That’s why I have it in the most vertical setting and why I love the knob, that little bit higher for me.

I actually have the same bag and it didn’t work with 4.0, wound up buying the sun mountain sync bag that is great.
Just ordered me a used 3.5+ and a brand new 4 for my wife..expensive but obviously this is the Cadillac of golf push carts
They really are!!! I’ll be pushing mine till it breaks, or I do. Which ever comes first….probably the later haha.
Yep I've been using mine for 18 months now and its really great.
Stoked to hear that!!! Thing is a tank! haha

Will this survive being picked up and thrown off a cliff into the sea after losing your 20th ball round the local links course?
How high is the cliff?
I think it depends on how deep the water is and if there is any boulders. Let me get back to you on that. hahaha
Would love to get one… so much more expensive than CaddyTek carts. Wonder if they worth it?

What handicap you have to be to get one of these and use it on the golf course? I play a solid 24 !!!
HAHA I'd defiantly say at least a 54 haha

Have they changed the lid design on the handle? Seen heaps of them fall off...
I’m not sure, I know I’m constantly using my break and it feels fine, feel the cable down by the wheel could maybe malfunction before the handle honestly. Again just my observations.
Will a stand bag work without having to rotate the bag when securing to the cart?
It could work, there is an attach you can buy specifically for this, where there is slots for the leg to rest and not rub on anything.
No. You have to buy a height extender so the bag bottom doesn't drag on the front wheel! Bogus design!

who else feels like that steering knob is both simultaneously genius and stupid

Can it withstand someone running over it with a golf cart?
