These are really very good. The standard of out-of-the-box models has increased so much in recent years and I’m glad Hornby are keeping up in the race.
Phoenix precision paints have bought the old ian kirk coach moldings. They are hoping to bring them back into production soon. Does anyone know if the coaches are a close representation of the East Anglian. I've seen BTO, FO, TO and restaurant car on their website. They are not the same diagram no's but I'm wondering if they are a good substitute. Less than half the price of Isinglass models ones.
Hi hand good morning Tony and an another great review. I purchased a kit about 10 years ago of eBay not sure of the company that made it I converted a tender drive B17 I Backhand the valve gear got the name and transfers from fox transfers you needed to do a lot of work on the loco and tender bodies but on completion it looks ok in apple green east angler colours but looking at the new Hornby one which looks fantastic? Mark would I Purchase one many thanks Colin.
"B" class LNER locomotives are 4-6-0, as here, and the /# were for in-class variations. With the B17s that was largely boilering changes up to B17/4, and /5 was simply these two with the streamlining added :)
Beautifully done thank you. A pleasure to watch.
An excellent review of what appears to be to be superb models.
Your Little Bytham model is simply exquisite.
Best wishes from Wirral.
Excellent video - I think you got the balance just right between explaining the history of the loco, reviewing the model and running shots.
Most delightful video thank you sir.
Thank you for this review. I am trying to get my husband interested in our old model railway, so this was lovely to watch. 😃
fine video about fine locos on an excellent lay out
Nice to see a positive review of a Hornby Loco.
Thanks for a great review. Isinglass Models make 3D printed kits of the East Anglian set.
Lovely locos, liveries and running appears to be excellent.
Brilliant video
Nice to see an unbiased review no nit picking
Great video! I'd no idea that this locomotive existed until now. Thought it was just A4's and P2's.

where do you get the head lamps from?
The only LNER streamliners were the A4 Pacific
How did you make your ground cover/balast? It looks great
It's on another layout, 'Little Bytham'
A sawn off A4
how drab nationalization make the railways look a feel i remember as a kid the corridor coaches of BR and every thing was dirty
What does B17/5 stand for? It seems not to be related to any number of wheels as I'm used to with English engines.

@CRB713 Thanks so far. So letter B doesn't have a special meaning as a German Pt or G would have had?
@@Gaddnbohner I don't know to comment re the German system, but yes, the only meaning is the wheel configuration
It’s just the railway company’s class designation. Has nothing to do with wheel arrangement.
Comes in oversize boxes for an oversized price.
