He literally sees things, lets Suga know while in the corner between rounds, and then Suga executes it. It’s actually brilliant. Suga hit Chito with the same “faint the right hand and give him the knee” combo. They are perfect for each other.

Looking at the clock is *smart* and sure it CAN be a sign of someone fatigued that is desperately waiting for the end but it can also mean they are in such control that they have the ability and foresight to pay attention to the time while fighting so they can be strategic in their approach
For sure. But also to a different point, they acting like this fight shows he can have the cardio in a fight with merab. Totally different. Even sean said, he always knew hr could do 5rds in a kickboxing match(which was what the chito fight was). Doing 5rds when wrestling is mixed in is a whole different ballgame.

I just find it weird how hard the UFC is trying to sell Suga to all of us. It’s just odd to see the UFC never talk about the PPV points that he sells but just keep saying that Suga is a big star.

Lots of film on MVP. People know EXACTLY what he’s going to do. It’s just a style that’s hard to fight against, not to mention he’s FAST and quite tall.

On the feet, O'Malley is a major problem in the bantamweight division. The length and striking is next level.
What's crazy is Sean only had a inch & a half reach advantage over chito. Plus Sean fought with a lot shifting forward and up close in chitos face.

300 is a monster card no doubt about it
But the press saw that BSD had a form of staph. He didn't need to say it himself. If he had said it directly, it is possible he would also get criticised and possibly get the fight cancelled. He just wanted to fight despite his health status.
This show has to have its own yt account. Can tell this show will do good if Chael and DC can manage to get along.
The reason O'Malley wasnt tired after the fight is because for the entirety of it he was winning, comfortable, relaxed and doing whatever he wanted not to mention not a single bit of grappling. In the Yan fight he had to wrestle and get up from the bottom multiple times as well as going backwards and getting pressured at times. More excited for O'Malley vs Cory Sandhagen who unlike most of the division can match him in range, footwork and outside striking.

Benoit's chin got checked. Regardless of whether he had staff infection or not, he wasn't surviving that right hook. Nobody survives that right hook if it connects as cleanly as it did on Benoit. Especially with as much momentum as Dustin put on it. That's a kill shot. Benoit is back, but he learned a valuable lesson that when you reach into the top 5. It's clearly a different level of fighter. Benoit will be there someday, anout that there is no doubt. But it's not his time. Work your way up the ranks one fight at a time. Because anybody in the top 5 would have pretty much done the same thing to him.

I think they're being told to try to inflate O'Malley's popularity. We bought 299 because it was stacked from top to bottom, not for O'Malley. Chito was getting more cheers. The UFC spent a lot of money bringing him up slowly so they're invested, I get it.

@amoore4363 yea let me be clear I'm not a hater. I think he is kind of douchey but he is a great fighter and very skilled. Actually my favorite striker to watch. But I knew when this card was announced they would do this. But if you look even at his numbers in interviews on UA-cam and what have you he is not as big of a star as they like to tell you. Definitely not the biggest in the UFC
