His point is that people don’t tune in for Merab, he’s mostly known for taking Sean’s red jacket.
Merab's a takedown merchant who just grinds on you for 3-5 rounds. Some people like him because he has that gremlin energy but he's definitely not entertaining stylistically.

@@peytonhodge1260 usually they "try" to get into more sports when football season is over, which tbh, means just reading headlines and nothing else. But it would be cool if they got into the sport and did more interviews. Not even just fighters, tons of other cool things happening.
As the ufc continues to grow in America they will you gotta think its the 4th or 5th biggest sport in America compared to Brazil where its the second biggest
The closest this show gets was when Heelwani was a semi-regular guest every so often and O'malley ofc every now and again, plus Dana's appearances. It would be cool to get other fighters on as Pat has good vibes unlike other shows, but idk if the group are big fight fans outside of it all.

I STILL do not buy all the hype. He arguably lost that decision to Yan. The Aljo stoppage was arguably early. Big whoop he pieced up Chito. No surprise there.
Merab will hug and man hump him to an easy W. Topuria same, could even pretty easily out box Suga. Sandhagen is probably the most interesting fight but even Cory is more well rounded than Sean.

A close win over him in good condition isn't a bad thing. Also, I don't think the Aljo stoppage was early. It looked like a flash knockout that he recovered quickly from, but he took many shots to the face unanswered after going down. The fight was over.

No one fights with O'malley's skills and fights so effectively offensive. His feints work as offensive weapons because he uses his attacks mixed in with crafty forward, lateral movement & striking from every direction. He's a very unique MMA fighter. Everyone held this Chito thing over Sean for YEARS. Now he's got it out of the way. I've never seen Chito hurt that bad before! Proved his cardio. Now will see him compete against the other people in the batamweight division.

I like O'Malley as a champ but I also want that Merab fight. Merab deserves it although he is boring. I'm just tired of EVERYONE getting the belt and avoiding their division. AS SOON AS Pantoja won the belt he calls out O'Malley, O'Malley wants to fighr Topuria, Topuria has called out McGregor at 170/Islam/O'Malley pretty much everyone except those in his division, then you've got Islam that's called out Leon, and Leon called out Strickland and DDP. Only people that haven't done it is Periera and Aspinall.
