Another way to check and see if the crabs are full is if you flip them upside down and push the bottom of the shell between the legs and the outside point… in the center of that area. Full crabs shell will feel solid, and light crabs the shell will flex when you pinch them
yep... try a nylon hand line And a nylon with mono hand line side by side...... I found this to be true... but also i whould like someone else to test this... I am guessing the crabs have a harder time seeing it .. or the smell is different @@PelicanBoneOutdoors

well with hand lines try adding about 5 to 10 foot of mono line to the bait end of your nylon line...trust me ;)

I typically only use chicken legs as they are easier to come by than fish for bait. Has anyone noticed a difference in their catch between the two?
